Wags n Whiskers - Things with wings

Hello it's Friday!!!  Wooohooo! It's time for another challenge over at Wags n whiskers challenge and this time the challenge is about things with wings.

There are so many possibilities for this... but in my case it gave me an opportunity to play with a fabulous fairy image this one is Angelica.

Craftitude challenge - Anything goes/button up

Hello TGIF!!!!  And it's time for a new challenge over at Craftitude challenges and this time the challenge is Anything goes/Button up... well I played with anything goes

Our sponsors this time for you are
Digi Darla and Eureka

For my part I'm using the super cute Christmas cat from Digi darla for my ATC.  He really reminded me of my cats... lol

I used some little ribbon from my stash.  I used some scraps from my scrap pile YAY.  I colored the image with my copics and added some stickles to the hat.  I figured this great sentiment from Create with TLC was just perfect with this image.

I'm entering this little ATC in the following challenges:

  1. 4krafty girlz challenges - Anything goes
  2. Crafty little fairies challenge - Christmas - Red, green and gold
  3. Crafty ribbons challenge - Anything goes with ribbon
  4. Cute card thursday - Anything goes
  5. Crimbo-crackers - Anything but a card
That's it for this post but I have another one coming up so I really hope you will be back for it later.  Have a fabulous Friday

Thinking of you

Hello folks I'm here again this time to share with you a card I made a few weeks ago and didn't have time to blog.  My SIL wanted a card for her cousin who is going to be spreading the ashes of his spouse (who died this year from cancer) in December.  She can't be there with him so she really wanted to send him a special card.  So it needed to be a simple yet elegant card and masculine.  She also mentioned that since it was in December it should be cool colors.

So this is what I did using the great digi Tree on Hill from Gingerloft

Ornament mouse

Ok so I finally got home in time for supper tonight with my family!!!  wooohooo after getting home every night at around 7pm or 8pm...  Soooooo looking forward to the weekend...

Anyway I figured I deserved some crafting time!!!  So after seeing Meljens designs dt challenge about giving thanks, I wanted to play along!!! I sooooo want to get one of those 2 special GDT spots... but after seeing last weeks contestant for it... I seriously doubt I have a chance.  But if you don't try you have no chance right?!?  So I'm playing again this week to tell them how much I WANT IN!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I used the soooo cute Ornament mouse for this creation.  Right now there's a great sale and the digis are 50% off... let's just say that I took this opportunity to shop a bit... shhhh don't tell my hubby!

Their challenge is about thanks.  I decided to make something a bit different.  With Christmas coming, I usually bring a bottle of wine over to thank the hosts of having us over.  So I made a little wine tag ;o)  I really hope you like it.

Digital Delight DT post - Baby Snow

Hello everyone!  It's Thursday YAY getting closer to the weekend!  I'm here to share with you my post for Digital Delights.

This time in honour of the snow that's started falling over here in Montreal (so don't like snow when I have to drive to work, took me an extra 20 minutes for my 1h drive yesterday morning...) I'm using the super cute Baby Snow.  The sentiment that I used is from Snow sentiments set

Open-minded crafting fun challenge - little face off ;o)

Hello everyone!  Susan and I decided to have fun today!  We gave each other a challenge!!! Our challenge to each other was to CASE one of the cards from the other and use one of the images from Scribbles Design which is being showcased today on our new challenge blog that you can see here.  In case you missed it we are showcasing all the wonderful sponsors that are going to be there for our new challenge!!!

So today it's all about Scribbles Design and Sandy being so very generous is sharing a freebie for you all for today only on our challenge blog!!!  So go and run to get it (well once you have seen my post lol) and don't forget to go and thank Sandy!

For my card I decided to CASE this card from Susan:
 you can see it here.

I used the great Woolleys.  I decided to make more of a masculine card.  I have some b-days for colleagues from work to do.. I thought it was a great opportunity!  Of course if you have seen Susan's gorgeous work you know that there has to be loooots of decoupage.  So I printed the image 3 times and layered it up.

Duck

Ok did that get your attention?!?  It's kind of a weird post name right?! ;o)  I'm here tonight to share a kick post to make sure that I'm in time for the progressive challenge going on over at Dee dees digis.  I'm using the super fun Duck (hence the name of the post lol) Yup unusual for a Christmas card... that's why I also used some unusual Christmas colors!

Rudolph

Hello everyone!!!  I'm here to share with you a little card that I made using one of the fantastic images from Mi Ran for those of you that do FB you can also see her stuff here.  She really makes the most awesome digis!!!!  And I played this time with the great Rudolph

I thought she was just adorable and soooo much fun to color!!!

Ike's World challenge blog

Hello everyone!  This is the time for a new challenge over at Ike's world challenge.  And this time I'm on this blog because I'm doing a nice little Christmas card ;o)  So it can be shown on this side of my world.

The challenge that we have for you this time is winter is here.... yup... it's here all right... it was -10degrees celcius yesterday!!!  What a way to wake up on a Monday morning... so anyway I digress lol

For this card I used the great image Rockies from the set Canada Bundle.  I was soooo excited when Ike did this bundle so I'm super happy to be using this image.

Christmas sentiments

Good evening!  How was your Monday?  Mine was really busy but that's good since it passed by faster... the only bad part was that I didn't take a full lunch and didn't get to blog and see you all! ;o)

I'm here tonight to share with you a little card that I made for the Outlawz progressive challenge.  I'm really sad because it was announced that they are closing it down... so this will be the last one.  It was so much fun to participate in it... I'm really quite sad to see it go.  But totally have to understand all the hard work that goes into making it run.

So I used Christmas Sentiments from Anne digital art this time.

Melonheadz DT - fall colors

Hello everyone!!! It's Monday again... and that means it's time for a new challenge over at Melonheadz.  This time our challenge for you is Fall colors!  That's pretty cool for any Thanksgiving creations that you are still doing or other thank you cards!

Here's my little card using the great Happy Fall bundle.  Such a great fall filled digi set!!!

Lucy Lion

You know that I'm a total addict of Progressive challenges or freebie challenges... well I found one on FB here.  It's the dragon's lair digi group!!!  And this month the challenge is to use the super cute Lucy lion.  I decided to use her on a tag.  And I needed to post her soon... the challenge ends this week!

I made this tag by soaking a bunch of tags in tea ;o) I've been meaning to try that out for awhile and this was the perfect time to do so.

The sentiment is from Create with TLC
I used some ribbon from the dollar store.  I added some buttons also from the dollar store.  The sentiment and card stock were cut using my scallop and large circle from Spellbinder.  The papers are from my scrap pile.  Just love when I can use some!!!

So I'm entering this tag in the following challenges:

  1. Stamping Dragon - Freebie challenge
  2. Catered crop - Animal house
  3. Creative inspirations paint - Anything goes
  4. Cute card thursday - Anything but a card
That's it for this post!!!  And for tonight!!!  I will be seeing you tomorrow.

Hugs

Happy Christmas - St Nicolas day - Nicecrane - Stella

Hello folks!!!  I had promised to share with you the card that I made for my niece using the great digi from Nicecrane design and well life was crazy... but I'm here tonight to share it with you!

So I used an image from this fabulous set that you can find here.
Happy Santa CS - Click Image to Close

So this is for Stella!  I made the sentiment myself with the indications from my SIL.  I just love this image because it really looks like the twins (except that they are both blond... one boy and one girl)

Scribbles and Scrap DT post - November 23 2013

Hello everyone!  How's your weekend going?  I'm really happy that we are only Sunday... the weekends go by way too fast... and it's such a busy time right now... the very good news is that most of my Christmas shopping is done!!!  Wooohooo ;o)  Still have a little bit but most of it is taken care off and wrapped already!!!

Anyway I'm here to share with you my creation for Scribbles and scrap challenge.  It's always anything goes and I'm so amazed with all the great creations out there!!!  Did you know that if you enter with a Scribble and Scrap image and you win your prize will be bigger?!?  The prices of the digis are really reasonable... so you should check it out!

For my card today I used a masculine image called Vintage Steampunk Car.  I need some B-day cards for some men in my life... and I thought this was a great opportunity to make one!

Little girl with Big hat

Ok last post for the night... well actually it's morning right... and in that case there's another one coming lol

Anyway... I had the great freebie from Just some lines blog all printed out and just waiting to be used!  So that's what I did today!  Their challenge right now is 3 or more different embellishments.  I used the 3!

The little freebie is called Little girl with Big hat and I thought it was a great image to make a little b-day card.  I'm needing some right now to great a box to send to my Grandma for Christmas.  There's not much that I can give her and that she would need since she's 95... but she's always needing cards so that's a good gift.

Buddy the fox

OHHHHH MYYYYY... there's an opportunity to be a guest designer over at Meljen's Design  and I soooo love their image.  I play as often as I can... and I was waiting anxiously for an opportunity to apply as a DT... that never happened :(  So couldn't take the chance to miss this... Now the bad part is that they will only take 2 people... and of course there are so many talented folks out there that I'm really not thinking that I will get in...   But I still have to try my luck right?!?!

So I'm playing this time with the very cute Buddy the fox - Snowbuddy knows.  I just think he's adorable and right now he's 50% off... so only 1.5$... can I tell you that I will be going for a shopping spree?!?

Pilgrim Corinne

Hello!!!  Hope your Saturday was a great one!!!  I didn't get as much accomplished as I would have liked... My hubby is gone as you know with my youngest... and so I had to help with the homework of the other 3 that are in high school... review their papers etc.... And of course play a bit of taxi.  So I crafted a bit but not much.

I'm here to share with you a creation that I made last weekend and didn't have time to blog and since the challenge is closing soon I better get moving before Corinne stops me from playing in the next one!!! Yup it's the challenge over at Simply betty Stamps and since I don't want to sit it out... and since I already did the project I better get my butt moving right?!? ;o)

So I made a little ATC for this using all scraps from my pile.  If we were creating with Pilgrim Corinne the challenge was to use Fall colors.
It's a pretty funny little digi so I figured the ooops done on my label maker would be perfect for this.  I added some little buttons from my stash and that's it.  The image was colored with my copics and then fussy cut out.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

  1. Simply Betty Fan challenge - Fan challenge Freebie
  2. Drunken stampers - Diner
  3. Inkspirational challenges - Anything goes
That's it for this post... I still have more to come lol

Snowman with birdie

Hello!  I'm back!  I posted my winner and now figured I should post some cards that I had done earlier this week.  It's been such a crazy week... 2 nights of parents teacher conference.  My hubby and I were sooo tired that we actually slept past our wake up time this morning by 55 minutes!!!!  Let's just say that I had 20 minutes over all to prepare myself and get out of the house with my youngest... so no time for breakfast.  And then it was rushing back to get my oldest whose graduation pictures was today when they have no school... so no means to get there except for mom to drive him... so ate fast at my desk and rushed back home...

I'm exhausted lol and looking forward to a quiet weekend.  My hubby is going with William my youngest to help out my dad for the weekend... so it will be me with my 3 oldest.  And beside playing taxi I have every intention of just chilling.

So enough about my day, I'm here to share with you the card that I made with the awesome digi from Gerda Steiner Design for the progressive challenge!  It's a great way of getting some great images.  And did you know that she will be sponsoring Open Minded Crafting Fun challenges?  You will have to come and play for a chance to have some more awesome images.

So this image is called Snowman with birdie (hence the name of my post)

Delicious Doodles DT post - November 21 2013

Hello everyone!  Today I have a special post for you.  It's my DT post for Delicious Doodles and this time I did a little special!  I have a post here of one side of my project and the other side can be found on my other blog here.

So our challenge this time for you is NO DP!!!  yes I know that can be hard!!! I for one have a really difficult time to create without DP... So I had to create something different this time.

For those that follow my blog especially my WOYWW posts, you will remember that my dad had cut some little ATCs out of wood block so that I could make some fat ones!  And this is what I'm doing for this special project.

I'm using on this blog the Zodiac-sagittarius.
For this fat ATC I painted the wood black in a few coats and then I put some crackle glaze on top!  The flowers that I have added are from Prima.  I put some Heidi Swapp tinsel spray on the sentiment.

That's it for me!!!!  It's Friday and I'm soooo happy this has been a really really long week lol

There's still a few hours to enter my little giveaway to celebrate 450 followers come and join in http://crafting-vicky.blogspot.ca/2013/10/giveaway-celebration-for-450-followers.html

Light up your holidays

Hello everyone!  It's Wednesday... hump day!  And it's going to be one very busy day because today and tomorrow we have parents night... and not just good news for us lol... already really really looking forward to the weekend.

For now I'm here to share with you a little creation that I made for Lady Anne's progressive challenge using the 2nd digi that was provided as a freebie from Fred she said!  It's the great Light up your holidays.

I made again a little pillow box.  I think these will be perfect for the gift cards that I need to give this Christmas!  And it will make it more personal.
I made it using my Cameo.  Totally looooove using it to make some 3d objects.  Takes all the measurements out of the equation!  So much easier...   I added some buttons purchased at the dollar store.  The sentiment is from the fabulous Create with TLC.  I used some leftover papers again!!! YAY this time it's from Little yellow bicycle.  The digi was colored with my copics and then I fussy cut it out.

I'm entering this little box in the following challenges:

  1. Lady Anne's Christmas challenge - Freebie challenge
  2. All sorts challenge - Make a gift
  3. Come and get it challenges - Christmas gift
  4. Lej designs challenge - Alter it or gift - I went with gift

Little acorn bird

Hello everyone! Hope you had a fabulous day!  Mine was spend for a big chunk of it in a meeting downtown... I really really hate the traffic lol  And right now there's a lot of road repairs still going on before winter is officially here... it's just a big mess...

Anyway enough about that... I'm here to share with you a little card that I made to play over at Sami's stamp challenge.  There's a wonderful little freebie that you can get for a limited time and I really wanted to play with him.  So here's my take for the latest challenge which is CAS.

I used another little card base from a purchased kit on special.  I'm covering the base so in the end it really doesn't look the same anymore...

I'm hoping to make a few of these and give them as a little bundle as a gift.  I really like the size I think it's just perfect for a little thank you note and cost much less in postage lol

Crafty bunch

Hello everyone!  Hope your Monday was fun! Mine went by pretty fast and that's always great!  I played over the weekend with the great Crafty bunch from The stamping chef to play with their great challenge for anniversary.

I created a little wall art to give to my stepmom as an addition to her b-day present ;o)

Path of Positivity Challenge #8 - Midway point- Thankfulness

Hello!  Told you that I would be back lol.  Actually I'm back on the net while I'm probably driving back home... yup it takes me a whole lot longer now to get back home after work... I'm now 30 minutes further so it takes me about 1h to get to work and 1h back...an extra 1h per day... so 5h more per week!  Can you tell I'm not super pleased?... oh... yeah... right... it's supposed to be about Path of positivity Challenge and thankfulness... oooops... sorry about that ragging!

Ok so I'm thankfull that I actually work... and that all of us are all healthy and that all that I have to complain about is my lack of time and the extra traffic that I get to be in.  That's pretty awesome that this is my biggest issue!  There are so many that have so much more trouble health wise or financial wise!  So yes I'm very grateful for all that my family as been blessed with.  We work hard but we also get to enjoy it.

For this journal I played with the great Fall kat from Ike!  She's one of the awesome sponsors.  I used a quote from Decosse Dynamite called gratitude Unlocks quote and I added a little Autuman leaves fall patiently sticker from Create with TLC.

Peter Rabbit Christmas ball vol 2 - Nicecrane - second ball

Hello!  Hope you had a great Sunday!  Mine was fun up to lunch time... we had brunch with my stepmom and dad for her b-day and that was great but then the rest of the afternoon was so so.  There are days like this...

Any way I'm here to share with you the 2nd Christmas ball that I made with the great set Peter Rabbit Christmas ball from Vol. 2.  I shared the other one here.

There's still a great sale going on over at Nicecrane Designs on all the Christmas balls!!!  So you really need to get over there and take advantage of this.

This is the sheet inspiration that previews this set
Peter Rabbit Christmas Ball 2 (Pyramid Style)

Here's my version!  I'm really happy with this one as well and I know that it will make a great embellishment to one of my gift bags this Christmas.
I added a little ribbon purchased at Michaels. The digi layers and the cardstock were edged with vintage photo distress ink.

Here's a sideview of that Christmas ball you can really tell the depth this way.
It really is a fun project!  So if you haven't tried one out yet go and check it out!

I'm entering this in the following challenges - same as yesterday... but it's a different ornament ;o)
  1. 2 sisters challenge blog - Uncommon Christmas - I would say that this is uncommon... because Peter Rabbit is not associated with Christmas usually but in this way it really works!
  2. My time to craft challenge - Baubles
  3. Charisma cardz - Vintage - This has a definite vintage feel I think.
Hope you have liked this last one!  I've made them all!!!  And I don't know which one is my favorite... they are sooo fun.

Disturbed snowman...

Yup that's the title... and that's the name of the great digi that I used!!!!  I haven't been playing in the challenges of Dilly Beans and I really missed it!!!  So when I saw that the challenge this time around was Anything but a card I thought this was the perfect time to make a little ATC especially since the challenge over Wicked Wednesday atc is anything goes!!!

I really really love making ATCs they are a great way to use up your scraps and I just find that the size in itself gives me a challenge since it's so small... so finding the proper elements to put on there is not easy lol

I had purchased a bunch of digis from Dilly Beans and I haven't used all of them so this was a great opportunity to play with one that I would have more trouble to put on an actual card... Not sure that my family would appreciate him as much as I do lol  So here's Framed Disturbed snowman (he's at the end of the page) for you!
I used my scraps as mentioned I think they are from MME paper pads.  I used my CM punch to make the snowflakes.  The digi and sentiment were edged with my chipped sapphire distress ink.  I used some bling on the snowflakes as well.  The digi was colored with my copics and then I used a bunch of glitter glue on it to make it sparkle, you can see it a bit on the picture.  The great sentiment is from Create with TLC it's part of this great set Holidays and headaches, it's only 2.61$ and it's perfect for all those creations of yours that are a little out of the norm lol... if you plan on taking part of the Creepmas blog hop over at Smeared and smudge... well this is a great set to have!

So I'm entering this little ATC in the following challenges:

  1. Wicked wednesday atc - Anything goes
  2. Dilly beans challenge - Anything but a card
  3. Left of center challenges - Washi tape or Twine /or LOC - I think again I fall in the LOC part lol
  4. Smudgy antics - fire and ice (ok so I read the midway post and it can be only one or the other... so went with ice and hope you like my little guy)
That's it for me for now!!!  More to share tomorrow with you guys!!!

Hello everyone!!!  How was your Saturday?!?  Did you have a great one?  My morning was spent cleaning and wrapping some Christmas gifts... yup trying to get ahead of the game lol

After all that it was time for me to play a bit!  And actually got quite a lot done!!!  I'm pretty impressed with myself.  And I have some to share with you.  I figured I would start off with a Peter Rabbit Christmas ball from Vol. 2.  There's still a great sale going on over at Nicecrane Designs on all the Christmas balls!!!  So you really need to get over there and take advantage of this.

This is the sheet inspiration that previews this set
Peter Rabbit Christmas Ball 2 (Pyramid Style)
I'm sharing the 1st one that I made and will share the other probably tomorrow ;o)

They are soooo fun to do I really hope that you go and take advantage of this great sale.  I used some ribbon from my stash.  I inked all the edge with my Chipped sapphire distress ink.

Here's a sideview so you really see the depth of this!

I really wanted to get some done because I've started to use them as the embellishments to the gift bags that I'm making for Christmas!

I'm entering this little Christmas ball in the following challenges:
  1. 2 sisters challenge blog - Uncommon Christmas - I would say that this is uncommon... because Peter Rabbit is not associated with Christmas usually but in this way it really works!
  2. My time to craft challenge - Baubles
  3. Charisma cardz - Vintage - This has a definite vintage feel I think.
That's it for this post!!!  I will be back with some more soon!!!

Yup you read right... it's Birthday seahorse... who would think right?!?  But that's the great image that's this month's freebie over at Imagine that digi stamp.  I really love those digis and I'm always pleased to play along because that means that I will be getting the next's months digis ;o)

So here's my take with the great digi

Scribbles challenge -Remembrance with fancy folds

Hello everyone!  This is my last post... yes busy busy morning lol.  So this post is the post for the newest challenge over at Scribbles designs challenge.  And for this challenge we want to see remembrance cards done with some fancy folds!

I thought this was the perfect time to do a sympathy card.  I really hate making those... and always seem to need some.  So I made a flip flop or swing card.  This is my 1st time making those!!!  And it was great fun.  I used my cameo to make it... but I now know how to make it with my other dies... so next time I'll be trying this out.

The digi is Leaf Doodles 4
