Coco Faery Artist - Faery Ink

Image
Coco Faery Artist  is just fabulous to let the messy creative artist out on a little journaling card. I know that i have told you before but I will tell you again I really love making journaling cards.  I started doing those as a way to journal but out of a typical journal.  I make small ones but I also make bigger one using some recycled cereal boxes. I have made a little video to share with you the process of this And here's the actual journaling card that I made.  The image was colored with my copics.  I used paints to make the background with lots of stencils as well.  I really wanted to make a messy artistic and bright background for this little FAE. The sentiment is from  Ginger house  Just adore those sentiments!!!! And they are free so go on and check them out. I added a little flower from recollection as well as some bling and some buttons. I'm entering this little journaling card in the following challenges: Bunny zoes crafts  - Things with win

More Mixed media - Green

Image
Hello everyone!!!!  It's the month of March and that means that it's time for a new challenge over at  More Mixed media Challenge  and this time around it's all about Green!!!! I was thinking and thinking and thinking again (yeah.... long process :) ) about what I would be doing this month.  I didn't want to do the same thing over and over again.  My dad had found this little glass tray that you use to put a candle.  And that ended up being my inspiration.  I used for this a super cute little digi image from Sassy Cheryl called Bella's Flower . You can see my process in the following video. Now.... I knew what I wanted to do which was to put my mixed media in the bottom and put a top coat on top of it so that it could be used for a candle.  However I didn't have the proper coating stuff for this at home.  So I started 1st using a epoxy glue which turned out to be a gooey disaster. Then I turned to silicone.  But that didn't give quite the look I was

Oddball Facebook challenge - March 2016

Image
Woop woop it's time for a new challenge over at the FB group .  And for this time around since I was SICK like crazy last week as well as the family I just HAD to journal about it when I found this great image 289 . And since I really WASN'T feeling really alive.... I figured she would be a zombie and I would go with my favorite color combos purple and green! I used a lot of stencils on this make but one that I know who it's from is Tim Holtz bubble one (BTW for the designers of stencils, you should always put the names on the stencils.... it would be easier for us when we throw the packages to remember what we are using... just a thought).  I used some Faber castel oil pastels for the background with some baby oil to spread it (smelled awesome).  Then I used my Deep purple archival ink as well as my wilted violet distress ink.  I also stamped with my Paper artsy stamps (they are really getting to be one of my go to stamps in Stazon olive green. The digi was colored
