The East Wind - In the Pink

Image
It's already time for a new challenge over at  The East Wind  and this time it's about Pink for Breast cancer. This is a subject that is close to my heart because my mom suffered from Breast Cancer and well I should be having check ups more often but... well life gets in the way and I end up with lots of excuse why I'm not going. So there's a great freebie this month and it's perfect for this challenge. I decided to use this image in my alphabet scavenger journal.  I haven't  used it much and need to try to do so.  But the Breast was perfect for the B. I used the raspberry distress ink on this and sprayed it with water to make the drips.  The image was colored with my copics and the sentiment well it was just FABULOUS for this. And so very true for all of us women! I'm entering this in the following challenges: Alphabet challenge blog  - P for Pretty in pink Time out challenges  - Breast cancer That's it for this post but there's a

I made a video to share with you my process because, well it really wasn't all that planned... didn't know how this would turn out until it was finished! The journal that I used for this is a magazine that I'm transforming!  I really love it because it gives me some print in the back and it repurpose something. Here is the finished look I colored her up with my copics and then I used some gel pen on top of her shirt/armor.  The sentiment was found online and I wrote it in word document and then just tore it apart.  I used some silks for the background, some archival black ink as well as fabercastel silver pit pen.  The background wa

Anyway I found a fabulous book (a very tall one) at a garage sale this past weekend and this was just PERFECT for the journaling for the new freebie and the new challenge over at  The east wind .  The challenge this time around is Shine on.  So something that shines (ie stars, moon, etc.) In my case I did a sky with a bunch of stars and you can see my video here: This was one of the faster EVER journaling page but very fun.  I used a napkin as my background and then some paint and some stencil :) The sentiment was found online when I googled up stars sentiments. Ajna - TEW new release

Image
Hello everyone!!!  Hope you are having a fabulous week.  This Friday it's really busy on my blog especially since I decided to play with the latest release from The East Wind Ajna which you can find in the Etsy store . I was wondering how to showcase this gorgeous image!  And then I thought that I could put her on one of the background that I had colored in my Secret garden coloring book.  I don't want to just color those pages... I need to make it more so it's a journal in progress! For this I used a sentiment stamp set from Unity stamps that I thought would go perfect with her.  The colored page was done with my polychromos pencils.  The image however was colored with copics.  I really don't dare attempt doing skin coloring with pencils. Here's the closer version at the gorgeous image. I hope this will encourage you to play with your digis in different way like this one :) I'm entering this little coloring page in the following challenge
