For an amazing father

Image
Last night I created 3 cards!  Yes you read well 3!  I was really impressed that I did so many on a week night.  2 are for dt work.  So you won't get to see them right away.  And the other one I didn't have time to post right away.  So this is the post ;) Way back I had won some wonderful digi's at IDIC challenge and I had chosen some for Father's day.  This was my choice for my husband's father's day card.  He's been working really hard and this is what I wish him.  Rest with his dog Lucky ;)  our cockapoo that's also chocolate like in the picture.  So the digi used is Time to relax.  I colored it with my copics.  I paired this image with a wonderful digi from Digi Darlas for father's day.  You can find it at  Digital stamp club  you should go and check it out!  There's wonderful weekly releases!!!! I used all kinds of papers that I had in my scrap stash.  The green was one that that I had used for a border... so this is the negative pa

Thank you teacher

Well nothing says summer is coming like thank you cards for the teachers ;)  So to me the challenge at Catch the bug means exactly that!  And it's a good thing because I still had 2 to make... well only 1 left to do after tonight ;))) YAY!!! So I saw at Dutch Dare Card challenge a card that I could case for this.  I decided to case Pattie's card.  I just thought it was beautiful and would be the perfect layout for my thank you card. So here's my card: So what do you think?  I added the apple as the embellishment.  Nothing says teacher to me as an apple ;)  I used my nestabilities to go around my digi and the sentiment Kidlet baseball boy from Bugaboo.  Isn't he just a cutie?!?  I colored him up with my copics.  Sooooo love using those!!!  Don't know what I was doing before! I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Catch the bug blog  - summer inspiration picture (schools out ;) ) btw just a note... sooo looking forward to this... no more

Father's day card for a hero

Image
This is my 2nd post for the night ;)  After golfing yesterday partly in the rain and meetings for Monday and today I really needed to let some creativity out!!!  I'm sure that you guys understand no?!? So I decided tonight to make a Father's day card for my brother. Him and my SIL had twins (I know I'm repeating myself to my wonderful followers!)  They are now 3 months old.  So yeah my brother is my hero!  So is my SIL of course but this is supposed to be about my brother. Here's my card for him: I used the left over paper from some previous card.  Yes it's also the same Design paper as the Potty humor post.  I just thought it was perfect for a 1st Father's day card.  I used my nestabilities dies to cut the image as well as the paper underneath and the scallop circle under the sentiment.  I also used Robin's nest dew drops.  So addicted to those!!!! The amazing image is from Digi Darlas.  It's called Fathers Day and the sentiment is also from th

Today I noticed the challenge going on at  Dude time doodles  it's their challenge for Guest spot designer. The digi that we have to work with is a toilet ;)  I thought what I could do with this image.  And I finally found it.  A joke!  There's not that many cards that you can make with toilets and be able to give them out afterwards... so it really needed to be something fun that I could re-use. Here's my card: The toilet is called Johnny on the spot.  You can find him at the challenge blog.  I found the tooth brush as a clip art freebie.  Then I added the bubble with the joke.  Hope you can see it properly.  The toothbrush is saying:  "Sometimes I feel like I have the worse job in the world!!" to which the toilet is responding "Ya... right!!!" funny no?!?  Pretty sure my kids would be laughing their heads off ;))) I'm entering it in  Dude time doodles .   What do you think about it?!? Well this is my 2nd post of the day ;)  Busy Monday!  This time it's my card for  Digi darlas  challenge and this week it's Celebrate Dad.  Just in time for Father's day.  Our sponsor this week is one of my favorite store: We had some amazing images to work with please check out the other fabulous card from our other DT.  And some created some amazing cards using Digi darlas images!   I used Glitterbabe - Handyman dad it can be found in Floppy Lattés design store.  It was perfect for my dad's card since he helped us so much with our renovations. I colored him up with my copics and created a sentiment that was fitting for my dad.  I also used unusual embellishments ;)  I went shopping in my husband's garage for some nails, bolts and washers.  Here's a closer look: I just thought it was perfect for this card! I'm entering it in the following challenges: Dude time doodles  - Boys and their toys (my 3rd entry) Little claires designs  - ma
