Having fun

Image
Tonight I finished all my DT work so that I may go on vacation!!! YAY!!!  About time because I'm leaving Friday afternoon lol. I still managed to make 2 cards just for the fun of it because there are challenges that I really wanted to enter.  Last week I won at Paper Shelter.  And I was DYING (well almost ;) ) to color it up!  So here it is: Yes... I made an easel card ;)  Told you I was totally addicted to those!!!  I used paper Desert Bloom from First Edition, I love the sparkle that this gives.  I paired it up with some ribbon from my stash and... yes you know it Robin's Nest Dew Drops. Here's a closer look as to how I colored Little Bit Grumpy: I used my copics, I inked all around with some Frayed Burlap distress ink and added Crystal Stickles to the wings that I had colored in pale pink to give that extra shine.  Isn't she cuuuuuute!  Now you know why I couldn't stop myself and needed to color her up. Here's the side view of the card:

Thank you so much for all  your wonderful comments ;))) Today at  Jacksons digital expressions  our challenge is as always anything goes (that's so fantastic I know! ;))  And the twist if you want to play with it is a color combination (see the bottom of this post for the color).  This time we are being sponsored by Such beautiful digis.  I hope that you will play with us and possibly get the prizes ;) I played with the beautiful digi Tender Thougths! I just thought she was so very pretty.  She reminded me of my daughter (except that my daughter as brown hair... just felt blond was better for this).  I want my daughter to send this card to her grandmother before we go on vacation.  My MIL is dying and since we will be away I thought it would be nice that she have a reminder that her granddaughter prays for her.  I used CM paper as well as Mi T

I've been truly blessed ever since I started this blog.  I've been able to join wonderful design teams!  And this weekend I learned 2 wonderful news. The 1st is that I'm now a member of the OSAAT blog!  I'm so very excited.  For those following my blog I've been participating in a lot of their amazing challenges and actually won 3 times ;)  Now I won't  be the winner so I hope that you will take my place!  But I'll be creating still with their wonderful digis. My other wonderful news is the reason for this post.  I had communicated with the artist at  When the scrap hits the fun .  I don't know if you are familiar with her work.  I used one of her awesome digis on the post here .  She was looking for people to design with her artwork.  And I made the team!!!!  WOW so very excited.  I hope that what you see from me will make you want to go and check out her digis and encourage her to continue. Here's my card: As you know I'm crazy these

Our recipe is a really easy one for you guys I'm sure!  It's 1 image, 2 ribbons and 3 buttons.  Now of course we almost always have an image so that's really easy!  The 2 ribbons is a bit harder for me but the 3 buttons is also easy... so no excuse lol I used my Lattice rectangle and label 5 spellbinder for this.  I colored the wonderful digi Penny Shopping with my copics.  I chose what I thought would be great colors for a teenager... my daughter thought it was cool lol.  The buttons come from a Walmart bag and the ribbons from my dollar store all these part of my stash.  The paper is from a little 6x6 pad... forgot the name so sorry... the other is from BBP.   Here's a closer look at the digi: And th
