Progressive challenge - Sparkle and Glitter blog

Image
Hello everyone!  It's time for the midway point for the  Sparkle and glitter with rick .  For this point at the midpoint of the challenge I used a great image called  using  Dead End Sign . I thought this image would be totally awesome for the end of my journal!  And now that I've started this journey.... well can it every really be the end?!?

The East Wind - Anything but a card challenge

Image
Hello everyone!  It's time for a new challenge over at  The East Wind  and this time around it's about anything but a card! I would say that this in the past would have been super hard but not anymore.... lol So for that I decided to use the fabulous digi  Lucy Loo morning stretch  now I really really wish that I looked this good when I stretched lol.... but you know how much I really really really loooooove Lucy Loo so had to use her on this special album that I'm making for a friend. It's made out of all recycled material that I gessoed and then painted over using my gelli plate.  It's my 1st time doing a total junk album :)  I really hope that she likes it!  I'm pretty happy with those pages!!!!

Tessa - Art by Mi Ran

Image
Well the new showcase challenge for us over at Art by miran  is Cool colors.  I don't  know for you but to me that means pale and blues.... so that's what I tried to use for this make.  I'm still trying to do other things than cards so for this I made a postcard that is being used in a swap over at International crafters over on FB :) The image that I used is  Tessa .  I really love how she looked for this! Our challenge in the swap was to use all sorts of materials we had received in previous swaps and that's what I did here.   The flowers the border and the embossed paper are all from previous swap.  I added the bling and the sentiment that's from  Create with TLC  and that was cut using my Nellie's ovals. I colored this sweet little image with my copics.  And I think she was just perfect for this.  What do you think?!? I'm entering this little postcard in the following challenges:

FB reminder of Oddball challenge - July 2015

Image
Hello everyone!  It's time for the reminder about the challenge going on over at  Oddball stamps  in the FB group. For this reminder post I used the great  Image 177  for this journal layout!  I now have a favorite store which is a thrift store!  You can never know what you will find there!  And that day I found 2 yes 2 fabulous set of tarot cards!  And they were the spooky type of cards.... just perfect for me!  I was in HEAVEN.  I purchased them knowing that I would be able to use them soon.  And that's what I did with this journal layout. I had also some awesome burlap fabric from my friend Maureen from way way way back.... I could never find the proper use for it.  And now journaling well that item stays with me :)  So perfect. The tarot card that I used is the outsider and the artist.

Absinthe Fae - Faery Ink

Image
Absinthe Fae  is such a great image it was perfect for an album cover! I really really love now doing other stuff than cards :)  I've become totally hooked!  And this month I recycled a journal that I had for a very long time to give it to my oldest son's girlfriend.  She really loves anything dark and fantasy So I figured this would be totally perfect. Here it is colored with my copics.  I also used stickles on the wings.  The cover of the book was done with some recycled papers from a purchase at amazon and I used the Verday Paints on it.  It gives a rusty finish due to some metal particles in the paint.  I made this bronze have some verdigris.
