Hello!!!  There's new digis over at  Babycakes design aka Sandra Caldwell designs  and you will just fall in love with them.... yeah... it's Valentine's day that's coming up. I got to play with the fabulous Smoochies.  When I saw him I just KNEW what I wanted to make with him.  You see I have a little nephew (turning 5 this year) and he's totally into the typical boy things!  Loves cars and stuff like that.  So couldn't just send him a girly valentine! I had seen a fellow youtuber (Maggie Lockley) use a puzzle piece recently and that gave me the idea for this special Valentine.  You can see the making of it here: And here is the close picture for you I finally got to use some of those GINORMOUS puzzle piece that had been given to me by a friend.  I don't get to play with them much because they are HUGE!!!!  I played with paints and stencils.  The image was colored with my copics and then fussy cut out.  The sentiment was stamped and then just edge

Dreams demand patience - The East wind

Image
Hey everyone!  Happy hump day!  Hope your week is great so far.  I can't wait for the weekend for more play time lol but so far the week is still good. Today I'm here to share with you 2 new digis from The East Wind.  One that you can get as a Freebie if you are registered for the newsletter here . For that one I decided to make a journal spread and just have fun and also remind myself that it will take time and patience to make my dreams come true but they will happen! So here is the video if you want to see it: And here is the spread. I used my dylusions paints for this I hadn't played with them in a while.  I added some stenciling.  The dreams is a project life card that I thought was perfect for this and was actually the color inspiration for this spread.  The image was colored with my copics.  I stamped using my rubber placemat. And here is the 2nd make that I did for today.  This time it's using a brand new digi that you can find here I used this

Recycled Christmas cards wk 5

Image
Yes I managed to do it again!!!  Recycled more Christmas cards :)  My stash is getting bigger and I'm feeling quite encouraged by this. Not only am I getting those cards done but I'm also using stickers that hardly stick anymore...and bits of papers left from tons of previous projects.  And even doing this my scrap pile doesn't seem to diminish.  At least I know that I'm finally using my stuff!  And that was a big resolution for me this year. You can watch the process of how I turned 3 cards into those :) As mentioned in the videos I use premade card bases that I have had also for years!  My god the stuff that we hoard... or I should say "I" hoard!!! Just Breathe you got this journal - Jen of Eve Design DT make

Image
Hello everyone!  I made this album out of paper and recycled cardboard using the wonderful templates from Jen of Eve Designs that you can find here .  The templates make it so easy to make!!! I decided to make it 6x6.  Which is also one thing that I love with Jen of Eve designs template is that you don't waste papers! And you can use little bits from other projects as well.  For this I used some papers from 7gypsies called Epicurean that you can find here .  It's such a great paper pad for this type of project. You can see how I made the album here: I was wondering what to put on the cover and then I found some ephemera pieces that were just perfect for it!  I think we all need to be reminded to just breathe lol. I used a ribbon as the closure. The metal corner pieces are from my stash.   Here is a look from the side.  There's still room for the person that gets this to add pictures and ephemeras. And here it is opened up.  You can see there's man

Toilet paper roll albums tutorial and giveaway!

Image
Hello my dearest!!!!  Hope you are having a great Saturday so far. Yesterday I went out with my bestie to see Kinky boots the musical at Place des Arts in Montreal.  So funny because when we decide to do stuff it seems so fun but then as the time get closer to it we don't want to go downtown Montreal lol.  Thank god we push ourselves because the show was amazing.  So I'm a bit tired this morning... getting old but it was so worth it.  And we had a DELICIOUS meal prior at a small restaurant located right there (best location). This weekend it will be quiet for me and probably crafty YAY.  1st week back to work after the holidays is always harder for me... don't know if it is for others as well. Anyway I'm here today to share with you the toilet paper roll that I made for my giveaway at youtube.  I have reached 1K subscribers!!!  YAY so very excited made it on the 31st of December so just in time to say my goal of 2016 was reached :)  I also made a tutorial of this

Giving Christmas cards new life

Image
Hello everyone!  I don't know for you but in my case I really hate to waste.  And the Christmas cards that I get but that are not handmade used to go to the recycling because let's be honest you can't keep EVERYTHING.... Now that I do some junk journal I could use them for that but I much prefer getting ahead of the game and make some new Christmas cards out of them.  So I wanted to share with you what I did with mine.   I have made a video of the process that you can see here And here is the look of the cards that were done!  I managed to make 11 out of 3 cards and within an hour.  That is pretty fast when usually when I color an image and all just for the coloring it will take me up to an hour... I hope this will inspire you to use up your cards in a similar way instead of sending them to the recycling. I'm entering those cards in the following challenges: A bit more time to craft  - Anything goes Christmas cards all year round  - Snowflake

Yeah that is me most of the time lol.  I decided to use the opportunity of the great challenge over at Oddball FB group   which is always anything goes with an Oddball image to make one of the Memo pad books that I gave to my colleagues for Christmas.  The image that I used for this one is  image 325 .  I just love this super cute little rabbit. You can see a video here of the inside of this cute album and an example of how it was made. It's all done with recycled envelopes that were gelli printed. I used my copics to color this sweet image and then fussy it out.  The sentiment was found on google by searching for Coffee quotes. I'm entering this make in the following challenges: Open-minded crafting fun  - Stitching real or faux - it's real done with my sewing machine.  I use this technique to make sure that the 2 envelopes that I'm using are really STUCK together for good. Today I'm here to share with you my make with the freebie image Calm Mind that is offered by The East Wind if you are registered for the newsletter. What a better way to start the new year than with a calm mind?!? I have made a video to share with you the making of this journaling page. And here it is.  I used some paints from the dollarstore as well as some paints that I purchased in a pack at Homesense our equivalent of TJ MAXX. The stamping in the background was done with some shelf liner and some little circle items found in my dad's garage :)  Got to love that!  The papers that I used were given to me in a swap as well as the great sentiment on that card.  I have added some book paper just for the fun of it for added interest.  The image was colored with copics and then fussy cut out.

Hey everyone!!!!  Hope you are doing well and that your are not going totally CRAZY with the holidays coming.  I was super happy yesterday that I finished wrapping officially all my Christmas presents..... well almost still have 1 more project to complete for some work colleague... Saying this, is it just me or do you also end up with last minute projects because you have just REALIZED with a bit of panic that you have forgotten someone?  Well today I'm here to share with you a make that would be perfect to let that panic go and complete all the last minute gifts!  And this even if you don't have a lot of supplies at home. Bone Année

Image
I know I know that's not how you write it :)   You would write Happy new year in French by saying Bonne Année But it had to be this way to fit with the image that I was using and the way that I was using it.  The image 354  was just perfect for my skull journal in the making.  Yup not that much done yet but this was a perfect page for this. I colored the image with my copics and used some pebbles chalk for the grass and the sky.  I used some alphabet stamp that I have to write the sentiment.  I also added a little skull plastic embellishment from my stash. I'm entering this in the following challenges: Glitter n sparkle challenge blog  - Anything goes Left of center challenges  - Fantasy Christmas ... hmm maybe if not LOC lol Pile it on challenge  - Any holiday celebration - New year would fit? Today I'm sharing on Youtube the final look at the calendar pages that I have done as a gift for my grandmother. You can see the video here: And I wanted to share here the closer look at the last 2 pages that I had not shared with you guys yet.  For those I used some oddball images that I thought where perfect :) For the month of September I'm using the image 324  The image was colored with my copics and then fussy cut out.  I used some left over papers in my stash as well as a little calendar that was found at the dollarstore. For the month of March I wasn't sure if it was the Easter month... and it wasn't should have checked before lol but that is why I used a little rabbit.  I used a lot of green as well because of St-Patrick's day.  The flower embellishments were in my stash as was the papers. More Christmas cards

Hello!  Not feeling all that good recently.  Stayed home with huge headache and dizziness.... got a feeling my blood pressure is giving me issues... The joys of getting older?!? Anyway here are some other Christmas cards that I made using some fabulous images from Oddball part of the new release!!!  They are just FABULOUS. For the 1st one I decided to make it for a couple that added 2 new puppies to their family this year.  I'm pretty sure that this image wasn't supposed to be used in this way but I thought the bones were just PERFECT!!!!  The image on that one is  image 351 I didn't have the background paper that would fit this so I made it using a lot of little paw stamps that were just sitting in my stash!  I also added some little puffy stickers.  The sentiment was found using google.  The image was colored using my copics. For the 2nd one I thought this would make a wonderful boy's card and that's what I did this is the card that I sent to my little

December Daily and Christmas is coming

Image
Hello!  Happy Saturday to all of you.  Hope you have a fun weekend planned!  In my case going to a Christmas party with my hubby and that will take sometime away from crafting (oh no lol) but it should still be fun. I have been doing my December daily as was mentioned in the following video where I showed the book that I altered for this purpose. Since my b-day is in the month of December it was appropriate to decorate a page for this especially.  And I used a fabulous image from Oddball's newest release for this.  The image is  Image 357.  My daughter thought she looked sad... but I thought it really fit the fact that I'm not that excited about getting older lol I colored the image with my copics and I put some gell roll pen on the hat to make it shiny.  The backing for the image is a red packaging from a dollarstore purchase!  Love being able to reuse some items this way. I also wanted to share with you a Christmas card that I made that is totally out of the ty

OMG we are already in December!  How crazy is this?!?  And this means that it's time for a new freebie from The East Wind if you are registered on the blog here . And as per previous years, the freebie is a super CUTE CAT!!!!  YAY.  I decided to make a card because I'm behind in making some cards.  And I decided to use some of the fab paper that I got from my friend Annie in some Happy mail that you can see here. Here is the result I have used all scraps from my stash.  The only thing that i have added is the green layer 6x6 that covers the card base.  The one that is under the belly band is from a packaging display. The image was colored with my copics and then I fussy cut it out.  I have added some stickers that are shakers!  How fun is that?!? No longer necessary to bother making shakers you can get them from the dollar store! I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Crafty creations challenges  - Christmas The papershelter  - Christmas card
