For Jen's blog hop click here.

It's Friday!!!!  TGIF!!!  Don't know about you but I'm sure glad that the week is over!  Kids were starting school this week with tons of papers to fill out. It was my month end week and I also have a ton of presentation to do for the budget.... still will be a long day... but at least a long weekend is in view!  It's labor day on Monday so 3 days off!  And I'm so lucky that I get to play around with wonderful digis and craft.  I'm telling you this is what is keeping me sane ;D or almost sane rofl!

Today I'm get to showcase a card that I made using some of the wonderful artwork from Marion from When the scrap hits the fun.

She has a wonderful new set of digis for sale and they are totally adorable.  Here's the digis

And here are the sentiments:
They are so adorable don't you think?!?

I just love the way the precolored lady bug looked so that's the one that I used for my card.  Plus I got to be lazy lol :D  I used one of the wonderful sentiment as well.

I used some paper from Bobunny the Alora Collection (just adore that paper).  I used a bunch of spellbinders (Picot edge circle, Foliage, Standard circle and Daisy patch).

Here's a closer look at the digi.  I used distress ink around it:

And I made my own flower with the spellbinder Daisy patch.  I used red foam and some scrap paper from my stash as well as a brad from Eyelet Outlet.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
  1. Love to create challenge - Handmade flowers
  2. Paper and such online - Wings N things
  3. Shopping our stash - use your favorite things ( I must admit to just looooooving dies ;D  so I was happy I used a whole bunch here)
  4. Deep ocean challenge blog - Things with wings

Dutch Dare Card challenge - #180

For Jen's blog hop click here.

Hello Everyone!!!  I haven't made the announcement on my blog but I did post the badge :D  I am now part of the wonderfulDutch Dare Card Challenge.  I'm so very excited about this!!!  I've been playing their challenge for awhile when I could and now I get to be a DT!!!  How very cool is this!

So this week the challenge is Floral Fantasy.  And our wonderful sponsor is
Crafty Sentiments

For my DT card I have used an image that I had used previously but that I really love.  It's from Eureka and it's called Butterfly and Bluebonnet.
I usually would have done this card in blues... but I had a request for it in orange so I was happy to oblige.  I think it turned out good anyway :D.  When you have a beautiful image you can't really go wrong I find.

The paper is from KI- Memories I got it at Michaels I think last year (yup it's a stop on every vacation in the States!) and I used some cardstock from DCWV - bright &Jewels.  Some of the other DP are from my stash (I just love it when I can take some scrap and use it).  I have cut out the image and the paper underneath with Label 1 spellbinder.  I used my scallop and classic circle as well for the sentiment.

Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored using copics.

And a look at the special sentiment that I created for this card.

I hope that I will have the chance to see your wonderful creations for this challenge Dutch dare card challenge.

I've had a lot of trouble finding sentiments in French so I made my own and I thought you might like it :D  So here's it is if you want.  Please send people to my blog to get it and don't share on websites.

I followed this sketch with I adapted a bit to make a 5x7 card:

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
  1. Eureka stamps - Anything goes
  2. Whoopsi Daisy  - 2 patterned papers (I actually used 3 on this card)
  3. Cupcake craft challenges - flowers
  4. Kaboodle doodles - A tribute for someone older than us :D  I would say that celebrating 85 years of age qualifies for this!!!
  5. Sketch saturday - sketch
  6. Lej designs challenge - anything goes
  7. The paper shelter - loads of layers
Hope you have a wonderful Thursday!  We are almost the weekend :D  It's fun to now have a post going up on this day!  And for us... it means a long weekend... it's Labor day!!!!  YAY!!!!

Hugs and don't  forget if you are a follower to join in on my giveaway.  It's the 1st post up there :D

Found great things there!  Miss the vacation...

Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics:

DDC #26 - For the Lil' Ones

This week at Digi darlas our challenge is a card for the Lil' Ones.  That should be great fun.  Who doesn't  like to create a child's card.  I know that I really love it.  I get to use bright colors and mostly because kids are not really critical of the cards that they get lol they always see the beautiful in it.

For some reason for this card I went layer crazy lol  Just couldn't  seem to stop myself... I don't think I have ever put so much stuff on one little card.  It sure felt heavy afterwards.
To make this card I used fancy pants - childish things 6x6 and cardstock from Recollection.  To cutout the digi and the paper underneath I used Wonky rectangles by Spellbinder.  The tag is cut using Grommet Tag also from Spellbinders (I should have shares in that cie lol).  The twine was purchased at Ribbon Carousel and the little charm is from Michael's craft store.  I used a MS border punch to punch out the border underneath it.

Here's a closer look at the digi that was colored with copics.  I did the sky with Broken China distress ink.  I used a soccer ball sticker from a sheet that I had started using for my Disney Scrapbook :D  Just love using all my stuff.

I paired this beautiful digi with a saying that I got at TLC called Super Star Doodle I thought it was perfect to go with all the stars that I had going on that card.  I used copics on the sentiment as well as Faded Jeans distress stickles.  The brads are from Eyelet brad outlet.

So are you feeling like entering our challenge at Digi darlas?  I will give you one more incentive... just for playing with us you will be getting this wonderful digi:
Isn't it just gorgeous?!?  So what are you waiting for?!?  Go and get to your craftroom now :D

This week at Tammy scrapin corner we have a really easy peasy challenge for you!  It's about layering!  How easy is that?!?

Our fabulous sponsors this week are:

 and DigiDarla Designs\

For my 1st card I used JJ Shopping doesn't come cheap from Bugaboo.  I decided to make an easel card to showcase this digi.

My paper for this card is from First Edition - Sweet Owl 6x6 and I also used some card stock from the dollar store (love it when it's cheap lol so I can splurge on other stuff!).  I used Label 11 to cut the digi and the paper underneath.  The sentiment is cut using standard circle and the brown cardstock with scallop circle.     And the white on the inside is with Label 10.  I used a MS border punch as well.  I added some pearls from the dollar store as well as 2 buttons from a huge pack purchased at Walmart.

I added some Ribbon that I got at a local craft store called Omer De Serres (got it on special :D) and the charm I purchased at the wonderful Stamp and Create on-line store.

Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored using my copics:

And a side view of the card

For the 2nd card I used Caring Duck from Digi Darlas.  Just love their wonderful digis.

The paper is from First Edition - Summer breeze 6x6.    I used the following spellbinders to cut it out: floral accent (for the corner embellishments), Classic squares, Classic circle and Scallop circles.  The little flowers are from Omer De Serres (got them on sale yay for me :D)

Here's a closer look at the digi colored with my copics and I added 2 little dots from little packages bought also on sale at Omer De Serres.

Such fun!!!

Yup it's me again :D  I really wanted to play with a few more challenges! So I got to use a wonderful digi that I had preprinted a while back it's from Free vintage digi stamps and if you click the link that I have shared you will get to it :D

So I went with a totally vintage look.  I don't  normally go this route but the challenges called for it and it really was a great look for this digi.

To make this card I used DCWV At home and Latte cardstock. The doily is by Wilton and was purchased at A.C. Moores in Essex Vermont.  I used Tags Fancy to cut out the cardstock as well as the digi.  The lace is from a local fabric store.

Here's the closer look at the digi that I colored with copics and I added a little pearl from the dollar store on the hat.

And a look at the charm purchased with a set at Michael's craft store in Burlington Vermont.

oooooh this was a really fun card to make.  I followed a wonderful sketch:
