DDC # 23 - Musical Lyrics

Hello stamping friends!! It's time for another new release hop this week over at Digi Darla's! We'll be showcasing some of the JULY new releases at our sister site - Digital Stamp Club!! Each of us on the DT chose an image from all of the July releases to show you and guess what!! Each one of us will be choosing one lucky winning comment to receive our image choice!! So make sure you hop around to all our blogs and be sure to comment for a chance to win a DD image!!! We're also giving away a GRAND PRIZE!! Just for joining us, using a DIGI DARLA image, you will have a chance to win ALL of theJuly's New Release images!!! OMGosh!!

So, let's get this party started, shall we?? If you've arrived here from  LISA
then you are on the right track!! If you're just arriving, please be sure to start at the very beginning, Denise's blog, so you don't miss one thing!! Our challenge this week is "Musical Lyrics" - we want to see a musical lyric on your creation. Any era, genre, it's completely up to you. Can even be a children's song!

And here's my creation using Digi Darla's
In my case because of the fact that I was on vacation and with the loss of my MIL I didn't have time to use a newly released image, I used the digi "Life is like a piano".

This creation will really let you in on my age lol...  When I saw this wonderful image I was reminded of this song... why?!?  I really don't know... but it was fitting since I needed to go with musical lyrics.

To make this card I used some paper from First Edition as well as music paper that I found in Lost & Found from My mind's Eye.  The card stock is from DCWC. I used Lacey square spellbinder to cut the card stock under the digi.  I used Vintage photo distress ink on the digi as well as some stickles.  And finished this off with some Robin's Nest Dew Drops (I'm really addicted I tell you... got another order coming my way lol).

And here's a closer look at the wonderful digi!  And my sentiment ;)

Just thought I would remind you of this song for those of you that were from this era... lol This version is from 2002 but it came out originally in the 80's...

Here's the image that I used and that you could win:

Now before you leave, be sure to leave me a comment for a chance to win this fabulous image!! Don't forget to join our challenge this week for a chance to win the entire July Release-you need to use a Digi Darla image!!!
If you don't have one, please email Karen and she'll send you a past freebie!

Your next stop is the super talented
Happy hopping and look fwd to seeing you at Digi Darla's this week!! Good luck!
