Good evening everyone!!!  Hope you are well!!!  I had another blah day... so I decided to have fun and color another stamp of mine that had yet to see ink...  it's a super cute Tilda from Magnolia.  It's Teddy Bear Love. You will be able to find this card in my Etsy store . I also decided to apply the great techniques that I saw over at the great video this weekend at  Kit and clowder .  Wow Alyce sure knows how to color!!!  They also have a great group on FB!!!  I'm super tempted to join in one of the classes... just from the free class I feel that I learn so much :) Anyway here's my card!  Hope you like it. I really went all out on this one and decided to make one that would fit all the fabulous Magnolia challenges I could find... I never play with those (haven't for 2 years!!!) And of course when I did play way back... my cards were not like they are now... and they are still not up to the standards of all those blogs but I still fig...

Thank you teacher

Image
Today I needed to prepare a thank you card for one of my boys' teacher.  She will be leaving on maternity leave at the end of the week.   To make this card I used my CM oval and the tearing tool.  I also used a page from a book that I distressed with Vintage photo ranger distress inks.  My stamp was Cool Edwin from Magnolia and I colored him with my copics.  I really {heart} that stamp to make my thank you cards for the boys because I just think it really looks like them. I followed this great sketch: I'm entering in the following challenges: Rubys rainbow  - sketch Southern girls challenge  - about the boys Divas by design challenge  - one for the boys Totally papercrafts  - no pesky girls allowed Mad for markers challenges  - masculine colors Inky impressions challenges  - thank you card (mine is said in French but it's thank you ;) ) All sorts challenge  - for a man or boy (mine is made for my boy t...

Farewell Tilda

OMG I have internet... don't know how long that will last... seems I have an intermittent issue and they will send the part for my router... might take a week!  So I have internet on and off and mostly off when I want to go on it.  Unbelievable how we have come to depend on it.   So while it's on... here's a card I made for a friend and colleague which is leaving the company.  I think it was fitting and represented well how sad I'm feeling to see her go.  I suppose that I sure hope that we keep in touch! Here's a closer look so you can see the little tear running down her cheek: I added crystal colored stickle to make it glow like tears do.  I also added little pearls to her shoes. My inspiration came from this picture: And these colors: I just love how the colors are so soft.  That's what inspired me with mine. I used this sketch to make the card: The challenge this week also fitted with the theme of my card which was frie...

This afternoon, I cleaned, tagged and organized my craft room. Then I had fun!!!!  I used one of my new Magnolia stamp.  Got it yesterday when I went with my Bestee shopping at Scrap En Masse.  They had a sale of 20% off on them... so what can be better than time with my wonderful friend visiting a craft store and getting stuff on sale!  LOL.  I just HAD to use her.  Here she is: I had help for the inspiration!  I used a sketch: And the color inspiration is the following: I used as mentionned the Tilda in spring rain and paper from K & Cie. I'm entering it in the following challenges: Magnolia down under challenge  - gorgeous sketch Magnolia-licious challenge  - color inspiration picture Crafting for all seasons  - April showers (doesn't show much in the picture but I added glaze to the picture to make it look like water).
