Hello everyone! How was your day so far?  In my case it was a PJ day!!!  That was really needed after the last 2 days lol and to top it off... I'm starting to have a soar throat... hope it goes away really quickly. Anyway enough about that stuff, this PJ day gave me the chance to play.  And one of the things that I wanted was to get going for the new progressive challenge over at  Digistamps4joy-sa .  They have a new Christmas progressive challenge and this is just what is needed to make sure that we get Christmas cards done in time for next Christmas.  Yup I know... it just passed.  But before you know it, it will be back lol  And in order to play you ask for this image and if you create with it you will get the next month's free!  Pretty good deal right?!? So I asked for it yesterday and now I'm sharing it.  I also really really wanted to play at  Scrapbook blessings  and I'm cutting it really really close.  They have an anything goes using one of their past techn

Path of positivity challenge # 8 - Thankfulness

Image
Hello everyone!  Where do the months go?!?  It's already November and time for a new challenge over at  Path of positivity challenge . This time the challenge we have for you is thankfulness!  Just in time for the USA Thanksgiving.  Ours in Canada was in October. Our sponsor this month is: We also have some great prizes from:   That's pretty awesome!!! I'm really really thankful for my family.  I'm really lucky that I have a wonderful husband of 17 years (we've been together 22!) and I have 4 great kids all in great health.  So yes I'm quite thankful for this.   I have to admit that when this time of year rolls around, I'm feeling more nostalgic... and I'm more thankful to all my blessings!!!  Including all of you great followers that leave comments every day! Here's my creation for my journal using this theme and the great digi JA2 from Digistamps 4 joy.

Little recycled snow

Image
Have I intrigued you with the title?!?  Well I hope so ;o)  There's a challenge going on at  Digistamps 4 joy  and the challenge is about recycling and snowflakes... So I thought and thought and thought some more on what I could recycle that would look good on a card and I finally got an idea!  I've seen people recycle soda aluminium cans into flowers.  That would work for a snowflake no?!?  But then... I don't have soda can... but I had some beer in can from the camping trip!!!  So that was just as good.  Well actually it was better 'cause the beer was awesome lol So here's the look at the can before I made it into some snowflakes.  I had to find a way to open it up... but it wasn't that bad. And here's the look of the card with the snowflakes ;o)  It was a bit difficult to remove the more intricate die cuts... so next time I would probably stick to less detail pieces. I used a digi from  Digistamps 4 joy  that you can find here  it's called Mr.

Instead of my usual scramble to finish them at the end of the month lol So this is the full view of the inside of the card.
