Cute girl

Goodevening!  So how are you all?  Today was a busy Monday.  I had a lot of stuff to do at work... and then I needed to go with one of my boys to the doctor before he returns to school... ended up spending most of the afternoon... man.. that's long.

I really wanted to craft and still manage to do some... but as I got to my blog I noticed that I had lost a follower.  So sad when that happens.  Especially since the number was getting higher.  And now it went back down one :( well I hope the rest of you like my posting... I do post a lot lol but what can I say I really love crafting and find such peace of mind when I do!

Anyway I'm here to share with you a card that I made for a colleague's b-day that's coming up.  I had the pop up today at work... and then I discovered a great artist that I didn't know!  Yup another one!  Here's the link to the cute little digi Cute Girl it's from Zuri Vice President Jr.  And guess what?!?  They are having a DT call here.  So yes I will be trying my luck.  It's been too quiet with less DT work... and I really love working with specific artists :)

So here's my card for my colleague.  I really went all girly and sparkly on this one :)

Cute little girl

This is my last request from a colleague (at least for now... not sure when they see my cards tomorrow if I won't get more ;) ).  Her daughter is doing her 1st communion.  And she wanted something that would represent her daughter more than the cards that she was seeing at Hallmark.  She mentioned that her daughter liked zebra print, pink and black.  Here's what I came up with:
I used again the Cute girl digi from digi Darlas. I had purchased some great charms from Stamp and Create and this is one that I got as a gift (how perfect for this occasion).  I used the stamping technique I had done last weekend to make my zebra pink print.  It's done using Vintage pink distress ink from Ranger.

I'm entering this one in the following challenges:
  1. Dutchdare - the sketch - I would have put it in my blog post usually... but it doesn't copy properly :(
  2. Going-buggy - card for girl
  3. Craft your days away - metal
So that's it!  I finished my requests... I might still craft at least one but this time it will be only for my own fun!

Birthday card for dad

This is another one of the request I got.  I have a colleague of mine who's expecting a baby boy YAY and her husband's b-day is this week.  She wanted a card that would be personal and that would be from her and her daughter (a cute little blonde girl).  I happened to have Kraftin Kimmie's Caroline stamp which was perfect for this image.  And to top it off the sketch this week was perfect for it too!  How great is that.
I paired Caroline with Cute Girl from Digi Darlas sooo cute!  I thought it would represent well a little 2 year old with an attitude fit for an old soul lol.

I used this sketch:

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
  1. Kraftin kimmie stamps - Sketch
  2. Crafting when we can challenges - use 2 images
  3. Tsg clear stamps - card for a dad
OK so now I'm off to make the last request! ;)
