Julia Spiri new release - The garden dwellers

ohhhh it's time for a new collection release over at Julia Spiri Etsy store and this time it's about cuties for the garden!!!!  My make is the super cute little Lady Bug.

I took a class over at Scrapbook central a local store this weekend and we played with totally YUMMY silk paint and gels.  I decided to make the background for this little journaling during this process and when I came home all that was required was to color the cutie up and fix her on the page.

I also added some little transparent butterflies that I had from a fellow crafter's clean up sale.  Those were fixed on the page using some E6000 glue.

OSAAT - Challenge # 154

Hello everyone!  It's time for another challenge over at OSAAT.  This time it's ANYTHING GOES!!!! Oh yes I know that there will be lots of entries ;)

This time I got to choose for CG and I! ;)  Yes and I made CG's life a little difficult... but I knew that she was totally up to the challenge!!!  She's such a talented artist.  You really need to go and check out the wonderful card that she made.

So our image this time was Lady Bug by Barbara Jensen.  She's a cute little fairy ;)

So for this card I decided to make a Z fold card!  It was my 1st one!!!  So please be gentle with me... But it's not the last lol 'cause I really loved doing it.  And it's all Margaret's fault... she got me totally hooked on bounce sheet flowers and now z fold card... but I digress ;)  For this card I used paper from Animal prints from DCWV.  I used my Label 14 (on the inside), scallop and classic circles from Spellbinder.  The top round flower was made with my circle punch.  I added a metal brad to it.  I put some flourish made with my Cameo and some bling flourish from my stash.

Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored using my copics and my stickles for the wings.  I had sent the watermark image to Paulette for some help with the sentiment and she put it as a freebie on the blog a few weeks ago ;) Just love the sentiments from Create with TLC there's always a perfect one for all the images...

It's Friday!!!!  TGIF!!!  Don't know about you but I'm sure glad that the week is over!  Kids were starting school this week with tons of papers to fill out. It was my month end week and I also have a ton of presentation to do for the budget.... still will be a long day... but at least a long weekend is in view!  It's labor day on Monday so 3 days off!  And I'm so lucky that I get to play around with wonderful digis and craft.  I'm telling you this is what is keeping me sane ;D or almost sane rofl!

Today I'm get to showcase a card that I made using some of the wonderful artwork from Marion from When the scrap hits the fun.

She has a wonderful new set of digis for sale and they are totally adorable.  Here's the digis

And here are the sentiments:

I just love the way the precolored lady bug looked so that's the one that I used for my card.  Plus I got to be lazy lol :D  I used one of the wonderful sentiment as well.

I used some paper from Bobunny the Alora Collection (just adore that paper).  I used a bunch of spellbinders (Picot edge circle, Foliage, Standard circle and Daisy patch).

Here's a closer look at the digi.  I used distress ink around it:

And I made my own flower with the spellbinder Daisy patch.  I used red foam and some scrap paper from my stash as well as a brad from Eyelet Outlet.
