Good evening everyone!  I have another card to share with you with a really awesome image from the fabulous  Marion .  This time I'm using the amazing Reindeer color.  You can find it here . Such a great image for those fast Christmas cards... the ones that you should have, would have, could have but didn't  do yet lol For this card I used some paper from American Craft - Jolly.  I used my classic Square for the cutting of the digi and the paper underneath.  The ribbon is from my stash.  I also added some snowflake buttons on top of the ones that were drawn... just for some added dimension. I used some brushed corduroy distress ink on the sides of the digi and sentiment.  I used some red stickles for his nose. I added the wonderful sentiment also from  Marion . Blue

Image
Good evening everyone!  No I'm not feeling blue... even if I am quite tired and really looking forward to the weekend!  The day was super busy with meetings and then the teacher parent conference for my 2 youngest.  But they got good grades so all is good! So why then you ask the title... well the image that I'm using is called Blue part of the Mary in Stocking set, it's from Marion and can be purchased here .  Totally adorable it comes colored in blue or red and uncolored.  I chose for my card the blue version!  Totally love that it's all ready to go for a quick and beautiful card. So since the image was really wonderful I didn't do much... I used some leftover papers I really love when I can do that.  I added the wonderful sentiment that comes from one of Marion's fabulous set.  Some ribbon and pearls purchased at the dollar store.  That's it! Here's a closer look at the digi: To make this card I followed this sketch: ...

Let me count the waves!

Where to start... today was a really hard day... the notice of my MIL passing came out at work... and people started to come over to offer their sympathies and to ask me what had happened.  So all through the day I was reminded of the fact that she is no longer there. She was such an inspiration for me.  I used to love talking about my craft with her.  That was a special bond that we had the 2 of us.   She had a big family (6 kids - 3sons, 3 daughters, 15 grandkids and 3 great grandkids) but I was the only one that really liked to craft as much as she did.  So the idea that I will never be able to share that with her again really made my heart ache. I decided to do a card for her.  Since I have the wonderful opportunity to design for  When the scrap hits the fun  before leaving on vacation Marion send me a wonderful set of digis to play with.  And it just happens that the sentiment was perfect for how I was feeling!!!!  The images th...

So very lucky

I've been truly blessed ever since I started this blog.  I've been able to join wonderful design teams!  And this weekend I learned 2 wonderful news. The 1st is that I'm now a member of the OSAAT blog!  I'm so very excited.  For those following my blog I've been participating in a lot of their amazing challenges and actually won 3 times ;)  Now I won't  be the winner so I hope that you will take my place!  But I'll be creating still with their wonderful digis. My other wonderful news is the reason for this post.  I had communicated with the artist at  When the scrap hits the fun .  I don't know if you are familiar with her work.  I used one of her awesome digis on the post here .  She was looking for people to design with her artwork.  And I made the team!!!!  WOW so very excited.  I hope that what you see from me will make you want to go and check out her digis and encourage her to continue. Here's my card...

Sweet Treats

Image
Ok so the last post that I did about cake... I really wanted to enter the challenge at Digi Haven... but then I realized that the awesome digi that I got was no longer a freebie... only the sentiment.  So I went and made another card lol just any excuse to make  a card! The beautiful digi can be found here:  Beary wishes  it's called Sweet treats mouse.  I used my big scalloped squares to cut out the digi and the paper underneath.  I used six by six from my mind's eye  paper (all the dp) and some basil cardstock (pink and the black).  I used my EK border punch to cut out the little border.  Here's a closer look at the image: I colored her with my copics and added star dust stickles to the frosting on the cake.  Here's the cute sentiment that went with it: I followed this great sketch: I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Sweet stop sketches  - sketch The paper shelter  - dies/punches (...

Cake for Canada Day

Image
Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends and followers!  Today I was busy enjoying the pool and preparing our camping trip.  So we pack the camping trailer.  It's starting to smell like vacation time!!!!  It's good that I can rest tomorrow as well.  I hope that I get a bit more crafting...  Last night I made 4 cards... but can't show them yet ;) So this is the card that I made this afternoon. I used a doily under my image from some package that I've had forever.  I used my scallop circle and the regular circle for the sweet image.  She comes from  When the scrap hits the fun , the sentiment is still a freebie but for the image you had to have registered for her e-mail.  I colored her with my copics.  The paper is from Lime Twist - my mind's eye.  I used some ribbon that I had already.  And the little right hand corner at the bottom it's a little metal corner piece that I had purchased at a dollar store. I foll...
