Mail art for swap

Image
Hello everyone!  I'm here to share something new in mixed media for me!  I have done some altered mail for a swap with an old envelope that I got and recycled.  I used a bunch of paint, some stencils and some stamps from Paper artsy (Love those stamps) and some Dylusions stamps (another favorite). I also did some stitching all around.  To fit with this envelope I did a little postcard as well. You can see the making of this on the video here And for those of you that don't want to watch the entire video here is the finished look for the front where the address will go. And the back of the envelope and the postcard I really hope this inspires you!  It was my very 1st time making this but it will not be the last.  I'm pretty sure that others would like to get envelopes like this one. I'm entering this set in the following challenges: Art impressions stamps  - house and home Crafting with an attitude  - anything goes Drs designs blog  - Fussy cutting -

Art will set us free - Rick St-Dennis

Image
Hello everyone!  Hope you are having a great creative weekend.  Yesterday my day was spent mostly doing errands... and getting glasses for 2 of my youngest kids :(  The good news is that now they will see well and they are looking very handsome with the glasses! However this meant that I really didn't have much time to create.  I found some time to play with a great digi from Rick St-Dennis called  Art will set us free . Here's a little video to share with you my process: Here is the pictures for you.

The East Wind - Unlisted

Image
Hello everyone!  It's time for a new release over at  The East Wind  and this time around the image is Unlisted!  It's just SOOOO gorgeous I couldn't resist and just had to play with her! I have been playing with my verday paints and I had used some extras on an Index card.  I really love the verdigris that it creates!  You should check it out if you don't know that paint it's really gorgeous and makes regular paper look like metal! So anyway back to my story I had some left over and just didn't want to waste it so I put it on an index card and love love love the background it made.  When I saw this digi I just knew it was perfect for it.  I had also purchased a fun picture stand in the states this summer and I put that index card on it as a display in my living room!  I really love how it turned out :) and that's rare because I don't usually like what I make! So here are the pictures with the picture holder And a close up of the image colored w

Halloweenie -Vamp ATC

Image
Hello everyone, I really wanted to do something to play with the wonderful Wicked Wednesday challenge . I wanted to play along and so I used the wonderful digi Halloweenie - Vamp from Delicious Doodles. For this little ATC I used some left over paper.  I used my Tim Holtz embossing (with the glitter you can't see it but it's wonderful).  I used a brad from Eyelet outlet.  I used the great Dylusions sentiments - Say what you mean.  I also used a charm from my stash that was just perfect for this!!! I used my copics to color up the digi.  I also double the digi and fussy cut it out to pop it out!    You can see it better on the side view.  You can see the studs on the background. I'm entering this little ATC in the Wicked Wednesday ATC  - show us your fangs and the great challenge (thanks a bunch Mark for the info)  Fun with atcs  -dark /gothic or Halloween. Hugs Vicky Xo I’m doing a giveaway to celebrate my 1 year of blogging! If you are a follower You c

Chloe Bell Framed - ATC

Image
Hello everyone!  I finally got to my craft room today... well after taking care of my papers for the income tax... WOW I was sure that this week would be all about crafting... and not so!  I was getting a bit frustrated as I really wanted to get ahead with my DT work as well as play for fun. I almost missed the Wicket Wednesday ATC challenge that I so wanted to play with this week!!!!  That's what happens when you think you have lots of time... you end up having none lol So here's my little ATC done with the wonderful Chloe Bell Framed from Dilly Beans (sooooo love those images).  If only I could have more $$$ to go shopping more often in that store... For the 1st picture I put a playing card beside my ATC to give an idea of the size. For this ATC I used some paper from Desert Blooms - First edition.  I used some ribbon and bow from my stash.  I added a little Robin's nest dew drops.  The sentiment is from Dylusions - Say what you mean (totally in love with those sen

The Stamping chef - Freebie - Miffy

Image
Hello again ;)  this is my 2nd post for the day... so I might repeat myself again a bit.  This time I'm here to show you a wonderful freebie from  The stamping chef .  She's called Miffy. Well since today is my b-day (as you have read my secret in my previous post).... I felt that I should almost name her vicky ;)  But since I've never been a blonde... this card is not me... but the sentiment was also pretty fitting lol I decided to turn her into a Christmas card.  But she can be used for so many different occasions.  I used paper from American Craft - Hollyday.  I used my Classic Square large from spellbinder and my nesting ovals from Quickuts.  The corner dies are from a new set that I purchased on sale called Frosty forms also from Spellbinder. Here's a closer look at the digi!  I hope I have done her justice.  She's  sooooo cute.  I colored her up with my copics. And here's the sentiment from Ranger - Dylusions line.  I got it as part of my B-day

Jackson's Digital Expression - Challenge #11

Image
For my Digi darla blog hop please check here. Today I'm hosting the challenge!!! Woohooo! It was stressful lol, didn't want to mess up the text that I had to write. Our challenge today at Jacksons digital expressions is anything goes as usual and the twist is "a rose by any other name". This means to use any flowers that are not a rose in your creation. Now I don't know about you guys... but I just love putting flowers... actually I find it quite hard not to have flowers at all whether in paper or in embellishments. I'm sure that you will find it quite easy to do the twist this week! Here's my card: I used paper that I had in my stash already.  The wonderful digi is Lil Big Hug, I colored her up with my copics.  I just looove her smile.  It was the perfect digi to put with this wonderful sentiment from Dylusions by Dyan Reaveley.  I purchase that set of sentiment at Scrapbook Central at a sale.  So I added the sentiment inside a flower t
