I'm trying to post more on my blog this year but it's proving to be difficult.  I don't know about you but I feel that I'm always running after my tail!  With Covid19 on the loose it's been quite hectic at work.  Trying to calm people down and at the same time being worried myself.  I'm lucky the plant that I work in is in the food industry.  So our standard for cleanliness as always been high.  Now they have been put even higher!  But that makes us safe. This being said with all that was going on the employees are still terrified and we decided to shut the plant down for 2 wks.  Some of our operations are continuing but not our main plant.  This of course will be causing some loss income and some of our employees will be layoff for the 2 wks so will have to go on unemployment.  My team and others that can work from home will be doing so.  For me what it has meant is looking at the grants that are out there and talking to th...

I hope that will have inspired you to go and check out the Ets...

Journaling out of the box

Image
Hello!!!!  It's Friday and that is always a good thing in my book :)  Looking forward to a very quiet weekend! Today I'm here to share with you a journaling out of the box that I did with a cute little image from Sandra Caldwell it's called Cowgirl chick and you can find it here : I made a video of my process if you are interested: I call those little cards journaling out of the box because it's basically a little bit of mixed media journaling but on a little playing card and then I store those in a drawer/box to display them in my living room.  It's fun working with a different size and out of a typical "book/journal" format. The background already had a lot of stuff on it because I had used left over paints in previous project on the blank card in order not to waste.  The sentiments are cut out of magazines.  I have also done some doodling on this using my faber castell pit pen.  The cute little chick was colored with my coloring pencils. ...

Image
Hello everyone!  There's a brand new release over at Sandra Caldwell   and it's a double one because Sandra took a short break :) I had the chance to play with gift box kitty and that was just perfect to make a layout in my ABC journal to introduce the newest member of our family!  I still don't have it but should in a few days now. I have made a video of the process you can see it here: And here is what it looks like.  Since I was working in a book I didn't want to use too much wet media because the paper is not the best for that sort of application.  But I still did put a bit of dylusion paint down as my base.  I also used some archival ink to stamp and make marks. The cute image was colored with my copics and then fussy cut out.  Here is the 2nd image that I worked with. The video of that process will be shown on Sunday. This journaling was done with the super cute image BEST FRIENDS FOREVER!  And I used my envelope journ...
