Lulu on the move

Image
So... yesterday while I was taking care of my colorless blender emergency (read previous posts for details) I came across a great set from  Kraftin kimmie stamps Lulu on the move .  It was on sale.... and I had been eyeing that set for awhile so JUST had to get it!  And of course there's a great GDT spot right now for grabs... I've tried before to no avail... but MAYBE this would be my chance?!?  A girl can dream right?  I totally love those stamps.  They were some of the 1st ones that I have used. So here's what I did with one of those fabulous rubber stamps.

Little pirate

Hello everyone!  So how was your Sunday?!?  I made some food than I played a bit and didn't get much done however... I was making some different altered art items... and well that really does take longer to do!  But it was fun to get my hands dirty lol and now they are all dry after being washed so many times today ;o) I wanted to play over at the Kraftin Kimmie challenge for their back to school.  And I didn't want to make another card that would not be used!  So I figured I would do a bookmark.  I've been meaning to try out making the corner ones and when I saw the DT inspiration that really got me thinking that this would be fun!  I could give it to one of my son's for his book (he really has a lot to read for school right now) and maybe get him inspired to read, ?!?  Or maybe not... but it won't be because he doesn't have a bookmark (BTW is it just me or do your kids lose those like crazy?!?  Mine just keep losing them and I have no clue as to how they go

Kreepy Kitty

Image
I'm back to share another little make that I made this time with a Kraftin Kimmie stamp that had yet to be inked!!!!  Wow I have so many wonderful stamps that are just in dire need of some ink lol.  It was the perfect time to play because it's Anything goes this week! And so I used Kreepy Kitty - had to research on google to figure out the name because the it came in a sale and had no label. I decided to do some cards on smaller size cards!  It's good to use for sending in packages to other crafters!  The 6x6 are way too big to sent this way.

Using my stamps!!! Krafting Kimmie style

Image
Goodevening everyone!!  I had promised myself that I would start using my stamps more... well tonight I made up for 3 weeks worth of this promise because I used 3 of my Krafting Kimmie Stamps! I had to prepare a card for my SIL's nanny.  She takes excellent care of my twin niece and nephew.  So my SIL wanted something to give her for mother's day since she's their surrogate mom in a way.  And I've seen her with them... my world this woman is my idol.  Not only is she super nice and talented but she's also gorgeous.  Have you ever seen Sex and the City movie where Charlotte has a wonderful nanny?  Well this is just like that except that she is married and has a cute adorable little girl. So... what do you make for this type of lady?!?  I had to think about it long and hard and well work all night on this card!  And here it is!  I made an accordeon style card. This is the closed out look: Please don't forget to click the read more for the rest of the post

One last before the vacation

Image
So that's my last post before vacation!!!!  Don't  worry I'll still be there... but it won't be live time... I've got all the upcoming post all set up on schedule!  So let's cross our fingers and toes that blogger doesn't  create an issue lol I really wanted to play at Kraftin Kimmie before my vacation.  I missed playing last week... that almost never happens... and now I won't be playing for the upcoming weeks... so I wanted to put one in before.  This week the challenge is about using our favorite stamp!  How can I choose?!?  They are all so pretty! Finally I decided to go with a little sweetie that I have used before: I used Summer Breeze paper from First Edition for this card as well as my scalloped circle and standard circle dies.  I added some Robin's Nest Dew Drops. I have colored this wonderful stamp called Friends are for Hugging with my copics.  I created the clouds in the background with my little handmade template and stormy s

Little summer boy

Image
Tonight I really wanted to play at the Kraftin Kimmie challenge! I missed I think the last 2... and I had not missed them in quite a long time... never won... but one day I will lol but most of all I play because they allow me to use my wonderful stamps! I realized today while typing out my post that I had not stamped in awhile... The stamp that I wanted to use was just perfect for this! I had purchased while it was on sale (because of the move) the really cute little summer boy! The perfect little summer stamp. I purchased him because it really reminded me of my boys and I thought I could include him in one of my scrapbook pages... well... it takes me awhile to scrapbook... so couldn't do that for tonight... but I had discovered today a great sketch as well. So I had everything to make this card ;))) I used the paper from my Basic grey Lauderdale 6x6 paper pad ( I realized this weekend that I was neglecting this perfect paper for cards!!!)  I also used some left over paper

Altered Art

I did something tonight that I never do... I made something that is completely different than a card.  It's a journal.  This journal will be used to record our camping memories when we go to Vermont camping. I do scrap-booking... and since I'm quite a few years back I figured that it would be fun to have a recording of our 2 weeks of camping.  And of course it can be written by the adults, or my 4 kids.  Which will be fun at a later date to see their handwriting.  Of course since it's in the state Red, White and Blue where perfect colors for this project.   There are so many challenges going on with this color I thought it would be great fun. Here's my journal before I started out: I bought this at the dollar store for 2$.  I then went all out with the paper and the stamp ;) And this is what happened: I used a bunch of leftover paper from all kinds of project including some paper from my Disney scrapbooking album.  I used a CM shape to cut that paper out.

Multi fold birthday card

Image
Last night I did a card that was very long to do.... the type of card that I don't usually do at all which is multifolds. I had a request to make a card for someone for their 50th birthday.  There was soooo much that I was supposed to put on it that I really couldn't do that with a simple card.  It would have been overwhelming.  So after much thought I figured that doing an accordeon style card would solve my issu. I have lots of stamps from Kraftin Kimmie and the ones that I have used are some that had never been inked...yeah... pretty bad!  I've been using loooots of digis and forgetting about my other beautiful stamps!  Here's the card closed.  I used Mandy on the top to represent staying zen and exercising. Here's the look when opened. From above.  The panels to write the message are back of the 2nd V.  This way when the card is closed the message doesn't show.  My signature to this card is part of the 1st V. This is on the second pane

The sentiment that I paired with this great image comes from Kraf

I really wanted to do the challenge at Kraftin Kimmie.  And this week it was a really tough one!  It required to do one layer and since it's at Kraftin Kimmie it needs to be one of their images.... so I thought about it a lot... and Hooray, I had the perfect stamp for this!  When they came out with Bug buddies, I commented on the blog hop and won one of their wonderful sets. Here's my 1st card with it: And as I'm finishing this card off... I want to try to pile on the challenges that I can enter with it ;)  Especially since I really HATE spiders... so who knew that I would make a card with one lol definitively need to enter it in as many challenges as possible. I'm so excited... tomorrow morning will be my 1st post as a DT for  Tammy scrapin corner .  Hope you will come and check out the challenge blog and my inspiration card ;) Here's my latest card: I used Kraftin Kimmie's Rebecca Raspberry for this.  I also used my nestabilities for the square and the wonky rectangle. And I used this great sketch: I'm entering this one in the following challenges: The paper players  - inspiration picture - mother's day Card positioning systems  - Sketch Kraftin kimmie stamps  - Mother's day I hope you guys had a great weekend.  It's back to work tomorrow... quarter end... so Powerpoint presentation :(  And since

I will keep you guys posted since I'm sure all the good vibes you have sent have helped. Now onto tonight's post. Tonight I decided to make a card that I can send to my step-mother for mother's day.  Shhhh don't tell her ;)  Luckily my dad and her don't have internet at home.  So unless she checks from work... she won't find out.  I'm doing the Pile it on challenge.  So trying to fit as many challenges as possible... well almost... 10 I think is enough ;)  Don't you think? I used my beautiful Seraphina angel stamp from Kraftin Kimmie.  I bought her during Christmas time if I'm not mistaken... and had yet to stamp her up.  I figured this was perfect because my step-mom is quite an

Birthday card for dad

This is another one of the request I got.  I have a colleague of mine who's expecting a baby boy YAY and her husband's b-day is this week.  She wanted a card that would be personal and that would be from her and her daughter (a cute little blonde girl).  I happened to have Kraftin Kimmie's Caroline stamp which was perfect for this image.  And to top it off the sketch this week was perfect for it too!  How great is that. I paired Caroline with Cute Girl from Digi Darlas sooo cute!  I thought it would represent well a little 2 year old with an attitude fit for an old soul lol. I used this sketch: I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Kraftin kimmie stamps  - Sketch Crafting when we can challenges  - use 2 images Tsg clear stamps  - card for a dad OK so now I'm off to make the last request! ;) Vicky xo

Canine Capers

Wow my internet is still there... I'm knocking on wood!!!! I created the card that I was thinking about today.  Except... of course there had to be one... initially I was thinking that I was going to do a card with a girl... and now my girl... turned into a dog... still a lady but a dog lol.  I think she's sooo cute!  Just love her.  Here she is: I used one of the stamps from Canine Capers 2 from Kraftin Kimmie, a charm I got at Zellers (yes I'm canadian lol) and some papers from previous cards.  The sentiment I had gotten at Omer Deserres on special!  It's perfect for a mother's day. I used as inspiration this color choice: And this great sketch: I'm entering this in the following challenges: kraftin kimmie stamps  - picture inspiration Sketch saturday  - Sketch Craft your days away  - Metal (I have a little metal charm) Paper play challenges  - Animal antics Lexis creations  - Use your punches and dies (I used my beaded circle die from nesta

Cinderella

Image
I have been thinking on how to enter to the Forever Night challenge... this requires a movie and it's supposed to be creepy!   Well guess what I found a take on this!  Not sure that everyone agrees with me but I'm sure some will.  Let's start with I adore shoes!!!  So to me the idea of losing one is really creepy and bad.  Some of you might already guess where I'm going with this: Yes it's Cinderella!  From Kraftin Kimmie's stamp.  Doesn't  she look scared?!? I used this great sketch: And this color combination: I'm entering in the following challenges: Card patterns  - Sketch The paper players  - color combo Forever nigh challenges  - movie  That's that for now.  I'll try to create one more before the night is over... but will see.  Tomorrow's back to work I go... so definitively not as many posts :( Vicky xo

Friends are for hugging

I have this cuuuuute little stamp that I bought last week while Kraftin Kimmie was having a sale.  yes... I love sales... and I'm addicted to stamps... can never seem to have enough!  Not that my hubby thinks that... anyway I figured it would be perfect with the sketch I wanted to do.    It was just begging for some ink lol Isn't she just the cutest?  Soooo much fun to color.  I added a tag to be able to enter her in the Kraftin Kimmie challenge.  I was blessed by inspiration from this sketch: And by this color choice: So I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Kraftin kimmie stamps  - show us your tag, this heart is for all the beautiful stamps you do! Sophia heavy metal

Image
I'm really happy tonight.  I found something else to inspire me.  Heavy metal ;)  I found a few challenges that required metal use. That's much different from my other cards that were all about spring, easter...   I went all out with little Sophia from Kraftin Kimmie.  I paper pieced the dress so that I could use glitter paper for her.  I used some metal brads to hold the sentiment and some metallic corners at the top.  I also used paper with metallic accents so that it would really be "heavy metal" lol I used this sketch to make it: I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Crazy 4 challenges  - Sketch Tsg clear stamps  - metal embellishments Kraftin kimmie stamps  - Heavy metal Catered crop  - use brads Paper take weekly  - Anything goes That's it!  I just looove looking at all those blogs with the amazing challenges.  The DT do such a tremendous job on the card that it is quite an inspiration.  I hope that one day my cards will

So exciting

This is my very 1st blog ;0  Hope I do it ok... I've been looking on the net for products and inspiration for a long time.  Now I want to try to inspire others (maybe one day) and have fun in the process.  I discovered challenges  YAY so I will participate in them.  Here's my 1st card for the night: I f I understand the blogging world... you try to describe what you used to make the card.  So in this case it was American Craft Happy B-Day paper that was 2 sided.  I also used a cereal box cardboard ;)  for the square in the back and I used distress ink to age it up. The stamp is from the set Canine Capers 2 - Kraftin Kimmie and the sentiment from Hero Art.  I also used the sketch following to make it (that really does help creativity). So I'm entering this little card in the following challenges: Love to create challenge  - one for the boys and the sketch Dutchdare-cardchallenges  - cute and cuddly (i think this little doggy qualify don't you?)
