OK so now I pledged on this web site  Lady of lost times crafts  unfortunately when I looked at the recent post she is mentioning that she will not be blogging for awhile.... oh well I still think the sentiment is good.  I should try to use what I have as much as possible!  I'm not saying that I will not be buying anything because that is just impossible lol but I will be trying to keep on doing post like this one where I used scrap material.  I got the idea from Hiding in my craft room.  It was a super scrap challenge. So use up what you have.  And I managed anyway to make a card that would fit a few challenges and I think it looks pretty good if I say so myself! This morning I found a great technique while looking for some challenge.  It actually is a challenge to use the technique.  How fabulous is that!  So of course I had to try it out. I'm really happy with the CAS look that I ended up getting.  I was going for something else... but once again my card just wasn't getting where it was supposed to so I let it become what it wanted lol.  I used Rangers Distress Spiced Marmalade for the sponging technique as well as for the flower that's on the blue. The color choice came from: And the sketch from: I'm entering this one in the following challenges: Cas-ualfridays  - color combo Freshly made sketches  - sketch Just us girls challenge  - Sponging technique It was a really fun technique.  Ended up with ink all over my hands... but I'm a messy crafter when it comes to inks lol. This morning as I was looking at blogs I came across digi darlas blog.  And they had the cutest little digi girl up and to top it off it was for a good cause (all the money (and the digi is only 1$) will go for a mission in Nicaragua)!  So of course I couldn't resist.  Here she is: Isn't she sooo cute?!?  Love her.  And I paired her up with First Edition Summer Breeze paper.  It was really girly and had a real spring feel to it.  I used this great sketch: I'm entering this card in these challenges: Sunday sketch and stamp  - Sketch Digi darlas  - Festive flowers (there's flowers all over the paper as well as on the hat) Aud sentiments challengeblog  - Anything Spring or summer Card makin mamas  - make it girlie Card crafters circle  - gentle pastel colors I'm going back to creating ;) See you later Vicky xo
