Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored using my copics.  The sky is done using Faded Jeans distress ink and the sea is done with salty ocean from the summer collection. DDC #26 - For the Lil' Ones

Image
This week at  Digi darlas  our challenge is a card for the Lil' Ones.  That should be great fun.  Who doesn't  like to create a child's card.  I know that I really love it.  I get to use bright colors and mostly because kids are not really critical of the cards that they get lol they always see the beautiful in it. For some reason for this card I went layer crazy lol  Just couldn't  seem to stop myself... I don't think I have ever put so much stuff on one little card.  It sure felt heavy afterwards. To make this card I used fancy pants - childish things 6x6 and cardstock from Recollection.  To cutout the digi and the paper underneath I used Wonky rectangles by Spellbinder.  The tag is cut using Grommet Tag also from Spellbinders (I should have shares in that cie lol).  The twine was purchased at Ribbon Carousel and the little charm is from Michael's craft store.  I used a MS border punch to punch out the border underneath it. Here's a closer look

Our fabulous sponsors this week are:  and  \ For my 1st card I used JJ Shopping doesn't come cheap from Bugaboo.  I decided to make an easel card to showcase this digi. My paper for this card is from First Edition - Sweet Owl 6x6 and I also used some card stock from the dollar store (love it when it's cheap lol so I can splurge on other stuff!).  I used Label 11 to cut the digi and the paper underneath.  The sentiment is cut using standard circle and the brown cardstock with scallop circle.     And the white on the inside is with Label 10.  I used a MS border punch as well.  I added some pearls from the dollar store as well as 2 buttons from a huge pack purchased at Walmart. I added some Ribbon that I got at a local craft store called Omer De Serres (got it on special :D) and the charm I purchased at the wonderful Stamp and Create o

Yup it's me again :D  I really wanted to play with a few more challenges! So I got to use a wonderful digi that I had preprinted a while back it's from  Free vintage digi stamps  and if you click the link that I have shared you will get to it :D So I went with a totally vintage look.  I don't  normally go this route but the challenges called for it and it really was a great look for this digi. To make this card I used DCWV At home and Latte cardstock. The doily is by Wilton and was purchased at A.C. Moores in Essex Vermont.  I used Tags Fancy to cut out the cardstock as well as the digi.  The lace is from a local fabric store.   Here's the closer look at the digi that I colored with copics and I added a little pearl from the dollar store on the hat. And a look at the charm purchased with a set at Michael's craft store in Burlington Vermont. oooooh this was a really fun card to make.  I followed a wonderful sketch: I had not played wit

Goodbye to summer

Today as mentioned in my previous post I'm taking it easy :D  This means crafting and enjoying the pool probably for one of the last time.  We are having a wonderful day here in Montreal.  But I've been missing crafting for the fun of it. So even though it's beautiful out and it really doesn't look like summer is coming to an end I created a card with this in mind. As the followers of my blog know I just loooooove TLC sentiment.  And I decided to do a card to showcase one of her wonderful sentiment as the focus.  It was part of a digi from the club I was on. For this card I used some paper that I got on sale at Scrapbook Centrale a local store that I really really love.  It's from Little yellow Bicycle - Count your blessing.  I used my CM corner punch to round the edges. I also used my Grand Scallop circle and Splendid circles (for the 1st time) from Spellbinder.  I added some Robin's  Nest dew drops and some leaves (sorry took them out of the package
