The East Wind Challenge - Book it

Image
Hello!  It's time for a new challenge over at  The East Wind  and this time around it's Book it!  So either use part of a book or a book related image/sentiment :) In my case I used the great image  Lucy loo start your journey   and used a bunch of torn paper from a book to make this little ICAD.  I'm not making them every day... but I'm totally addicted to little index cards!  It's a fun other type of project to make. the background was done with my Gelli plate some left over paint that I had and then I used a bunch of different sentiments from 7 gypsies stamps stamped with my archival ink.  This was messy and FUN!!!!  I used my copics to color this fab image!  I really really really love Lucy Loo :) I'm entering this little ICAD (index card) in the following challenges: Red-rubber-designs  - Sassy Women - I think Lucy Loo is pretty sassy :) Time out challenges  - Grunge it up and optional embossing Creative moments  - Anything goes with option of

Hello!  So how has been your week so far?!?  I've had a pretty blah week but then hump day has been better.  I decided to push my bounderies and actually register to a class at Scrapbook central for a great class with Gisele Cabral that I totally ADORE.  With the depression it's been hard to get out of the house especially recently.... but it was a fun 3 hours and I learned to play with something new... will have to share the fab backgrounds with some later DT work.  Now I just have to chill because even though it was fun... it's used up a lot of my energy man... so fed up of this! But for now I'm here to share my reminder FB challenge post for Oddball.  It's such a great challenge where you can do ANYTHING with some Oddball design image!  So totally FUN!!!!!  For this make I'm doing another very real journal page.  This time around I'm using the fab image 171  I really love this fab image that comes with 2 totally different face expression! This journal

Bed time - Art by Mi Ran

Image
Big hello!  I haven't been crafting much but I have been coloring images and one of them is the one that's on this card for the new inspiration over at  Art by Mi Ran I just fell in love with this image  Bed Time  and knew that I wanted to do something with her.  Wasn't sure until last morning what.... lol she was colored for a little bit and only got onto a card. I've been kind of in a funk right now and I wanted to challenge myself so I used a sketch that I found online and did a totally new type of flower homemade!  So I was pretty happy with the sweet result.

Never give up Nadine - Tuesday Solo

If you are here for the Faery Ink blog hop you need to go here . Hello everyone!  There's a brand new solo going on over at  Simply Betty  and this time around the solo is Never give up Nadine. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make a journal page about women and how strong we are!  There are so many suffering from Cancer and fighting for their lives.  This is to celebrate those! To make this layout I decided to use my oil pastels!  And did some doodling with the use of a Fiskar stencil.  I used baby oil to spread the oil pastels around.  I really love the effect of this.  I added a left over piece of paper from my stash.  I used some brads as well from Eyelet outlet.  I made a little tag with my magnolia die and used some dusty concord distress ink all around it.  I added a little twine from my stash to the tag.  The little bling is from a tape purchased at Michael's.  I used a bunch of stamps from the set Dina Wakley - All the girls stamps.
