My 1st video and a very special album

Image
Hello everyone!  I'm totally excited to share with you something very special that I made for my brother and his WIFE.  Yup my brother finally got MARRIED and I wanted to make something for them that would be unique. I've also been asked many times to do videos... and I was too shy.... but I figured if I was going to do one this would be the time so that I can do a flip through and explain it all to you.  So here's my 1st EVER video.  Hope you like it and give me thumbs up!  This will encourage me to do more... lol For those of you that might not want to see the videos I'm going to share the pictures here.  I won't go in details of what I used because you can see it in the video :)  But most of the sentiments (which I can't tag all here because there are too many) are from  Create with TLC  and I also used some ATC tags and papers from  Ephemeras vintage garden  which has a lot of nice tags for free! Most of my papers are from MME and I used some Martha s

Nina - My whimsical little world

Image
Hello everyone!  It's Thursday and I'm here with a special post about an older digi that you can find in the Etsy store of My whimsical little world it's the great Nina stamp .  I just find her so very cute and thought she would be fabulous for the album that I'm making out of recycled material. If you want freebies and more information don't forget to check out the great blog site  My whimsical little world . The cover of my album was made using a yellow envelope that I painted using my gelli plate.  I stitched all around to make it stronger and the inserts which are all pamphlets that you get in the mail for real estate agent were sanded and then gessoed and painted over using the gelli plate as well.   I used this great image on an ICAD (index card) to cover up the closure of the album. I colored her up with my copics and then fussy cut her out.  The tag was made with an ATC that I made and then I used my new stamping up ornate label punch to make the to

Pretty Sunshine - SLS Lines

Image
Hello everyone! I'm getting ready for my vacation and that means a vacation Smash album to record the camping memories.  So what is better to decorate the pages than some fabulous digis?!?  For this page I'm trying to get Mother Nature on our side and get some fabulous sunshine using the great digi  Pretty Sunshine  from SLS Lines as my inspiration post for this month. Last year I did the pages of my album while camping and that's fun as well but I don't have as many supplies to color and to just add details as I do from home! And that's what happened here as I would not have had the lettering to do this at the camping site! I don't know for you but my kids come back after they are finished school with lots of books that are halfway done.... so I decided this year to keep some of the pages and that's what I used here to be able to journal on pages that would otherwise not be used since there's pictures on them. The digi was colored using my pan p

Lucy Loo - DIY Punk - The East Wind

Image
It's time for a new release image over at  The East Wind .  I just love love love Lucy Loo so I just HAD to play with her. I made a special junk album (meaning I'm using all junk material that I repurposed for this!  And I think it came out pretty awesome.  I really hope that the person that I intend on sending this too will like it. So for this page it's actually one of those shiny postcards that I keep on getting in the mail to advertise real estate.  I sanded the shiny paper.  Then I gessoed it.  I also used a box of soap to make the pocket.  I used my big gelli plate to make the print on this with some acrylic paint.  Then I used my sewing machine around the pocket to sew it together.  I used some stamps and some stencils to make these gelli printing. Here's a look at what I did. The great image was colored with my copics.   The tags were made using a project life card to which I put some washi tape and added a little hole and ruban from my stash.  The oth

MWLW - New progressive challenge July

Image
Hello everyone!  There's a brand new progressive challenge starting over at  My Whimsical Little world FB challenge  and you really want to play with this little cutie that comes with the Canada flag or with a blank flag so you can use your own country. Don't forget there's also freebie on the blog  My whimsical little world .  And of course there's no new release this month but we will be sharing some fabulous oldies from the store so you don't want to miss those! For my make I decided to get a head start on my calendars when I would find some images that are appropriate like this one.  I found a picture frame that you lift to get to the pages and I figured I would alter that to make the calendar :)  actually I found 2 other ones in plastic... so yeah lots of fun ideas. Here's the make that I did I used some plain red paper and then added a bunch of different washi tapes :)  I'm glad to get to use them... .I seem to have an addiction to them but t

Photo inspiration challenge for Open Minded Crafting Fun

Image
Hello everyone!  There's only 2 more challenges left for the Open Minded Fun challenge and I wanted to make sure to participate in both.... but I'm having trouble still crafting and finding the energy and the motto for it.... So I'm late but at least I'm there!  The great sponsors this time around are: ,  ,   and  For my make I used a great one from Bugaboo called Chase your dreams  that I've had for a long time and it's not the 1st time that I use it!  I really love this sentiment and figured it would be great on the ATC that I was doing and that was part of a Pocket letter that I sent to someone as a Pay it forward type of event. So the background for the ATC was made using some different inks from Stamping up (Ballet blue, Handsome Hunter, Ruby red and summer sun) and I smudged it on with some makeup pads.  I then added some stamping using my impression obsession stamp dotted argyle.  I finished this off by adding a little border using a sticker bord

Surfer Kody - My whimsical little world

Hello everyone!  I'm here today to share with you a little extra make that I did for  My whimsical little world .  If you didn't know you can get a great freebie on the blog.  And there's a progressive challenge on the FB group which will start again soon for the month of July!  You will not want to miss it!!!! For the month of July we got a break from new releases.... you know get Paola to recharge a bit :)  And while she's going to be doing that we are showcasing some of her awesome digis!  And that's what I'm doing here with the super cute Surfer Kody I thought this little guy would be perfect for my camping smash album. I'm pretty happy because if you know smash albums, you know that there are pages with just pictures on them... and therefore you can't really journal anything there.... you might add some pictures but even those unless they are matted would kind of be lost. When my youngest came back from the last day of school, he had a bunc
