En mass journaling - Miss Terry- Karleigh Sue

Image
Well I'm still at my latest passion of doing En Mass journaling (to know more about this you can check out this group on FB ) but I'm realizing that I can't just put pictures.... I really do need to add the digital images or else it doesn't feel like me!  And I really love to be able to find new ways to share digis!  They can be used in so many other ways than with a card.  The ones from Karleigh Sue are particularly nice for this! This time my page spread was about Fish!!! And well to me that means ocean... and of course you have to have a mermaid.  Yes yes I know they are not fish... but they swim with them right?!?  So the one that I used for this spread is  Miss Terry . And here's the make with the image colored with copics.  The rest is images that I cut out of magazines.  I used some stickers as well and some kids playing cards that I thought were just TOO funny!!!  Hope you like it!!!  I really have so much fun putting those together!  I already h

Faery Ink - Layla xoxo

Image
Hey everyone!!!  How happy are you that it's Friday?!?  I sure know that I AM!!!!!  Today I'm here to share with you another mail art envelope.  But this one was the 1st one that I did with a little window.... so you might want to watch this to see what happens lol.  The digi that I used on the back is a great digi from  Faery Ink  she's called Layla xoxo. I made a little video of my process so that you won't make the same mistakes I did... And here are the pictures.  The envelope is one that was taken from work.  It is an 8 1/2 x 11 that has little windows for the address.  I used some paints on this and sewed the edge close. I used some art foamies stamps on this and some stencils with some paint and gel medium. Here is the front of the envelope.  I just need to put a label to put the address on this. I hope this inspires you to do some recycling.  Imagine getting some mail in a colorful envelope instead of the typical bills... how fun right?!

Altered Playing card doll - RSD

Image
Hello!  I'm back and this time I'm here to share with you something new on my blog.  This is my 2nd doll but I didn't share the 1st one with you yet.  This one I used a great image from Rick St-Dennis this one you can find in the store here .  I thought that head would be awesome for a little altered card doll. I'm part of a FB group that you can find here .  And saw such great inspiration.  However when I went to do mine I thought it was a lot more difficult to make... because let's be honest here!  A playing card is not exactly the most flattering of figures for a woman... I'm pretty sure that no one wants to be that rectangle from shoulders to hip lol So I had to find a way to camouflage that she had no shoulders.... that's when I thought of some sequin ribbon that I had it was the perfect accessory for this lady.  I also found her arms in a Sears Catalogue, the dress was part of an Elle magazine cut out and the legs from another.  I added some washi

WOW I'm now part of the Alumni of Inspiration conspiracy!  It's so fabulous to be part of an Alumni.  :)  and that group is just fabulous so when we were told that we could participate in a photo Gallery on Youtube you can see it fully here while they were hosting a new hop with fabulous channels that are probably unknown to you (you need to go and check it out here ). For mine I am obsessed at the moment with Altered Mail art so that's what I made.  And I'm soooooo obsessed with it that I asked that colleagues from work give me the big envelopes that they get bills into!!!  I'm recycling them.  Here is what I made with the envelope that I got. And here is the video of this: And here it is if you don't want to check out my video.

Arielle Tea Time - Faery Ink

Image
Arielle Tea time  was the perfect little image for a postcard to send to a friend. I'm always trying to find new ways to recycle and to use the supplies that I have and at the same time make my friends happy.  I thought that my little journaling card would make some great postcard if I changed a bit the size of them.  This is what I did with the fabulous image from Faery Ink. I have made a little video to share with you the process of this in case you want to do something similar And here's the actual little postcard that I made.  The image was colored with my copics.  I fussy cut her out and made little holes in her wings so you can see the backgrounds!  I used paints to make the background and I also used stamps this time around.  The little sentiment is a cut out from a magazine!  See you can recycle from many places. I hope you will be checking out this new image and that you will be inspired to send some mail to your friends!  It's something that we forg

If you didn't check out the video here is the little make that I did.  The base is a recycled cereal box!  Love that I get to recycle for this. I used all sorts of papers from my working table.  There was some sewing patterns as well as some book paper and some delipaper that I had used to cover my table.  The dream sentiment is from a magazine.  I used a little paper that I had punched a bunch of holes in as a stencil and then I doodled with my Faber Castell pen on that.
