Recycled Christmas cards for future happy mail

Well Christmas has passed.  But 1st thing you know it will be BACK!!!  YUP and this year I ran out (well almost) of handmade card (but I did send out 55....) and sold some... so anyway... I would have also liked to send out more to my international friends but the postage is so very expensive....

So when I saw Christmas cards arriving in my office I asked if I could get them after.  And of course the answer was yes because no one keeps cards from suppliers right?!?  And as well I had some that I got as well that would have gone into the recycling bin but this way I was able to repurpose them!

I made a little video of the pile that I got made into one very fast afternoon!  Super happy with this. It also allowed me to use bits and pieces of scrap paper that were in my ever growing pile of scraps!

Here's the video:

And here are a few of the cards that I made.  Most are only 4x4 inch cards so pretty small

I'm entering these little Christmas cards in the following challenges:
  1. 12 months of christmas  - Christmas cards
  2. Creatalicious challenges - Something old - something new - new cards out of old ones!
  3. crafty hazelnuts christmas challenge - Christmas
  4. Crafty hazelnuts Christmas challenge - Vintage or anything goes - doing the anything goes.

Hope you will be inspired to recycle as well and I would also love to know what you think?  Do you think people would be happy to receive those with little die cuts as happy mail during the Christmas time?!?  I sure hope so...

Hugs

  1. Hi Vicky,
Thank you for a very good idea! I've sometimes been recycling cards myself, but it is always good to see others do it too. And it was VERY nice to hear your voice!
I wish you a happy and creative new year.
