Layout challenge #1

I have promised all of you on Youtube, FB and here that I wanted to do something that would include both my youtube and my blog.

My new project for you all is a new layout challenge.  I will post the layout here and show what I made on my youtube channel if you are interested in seeing the creation process.

I wanted to do something that could help spark creativity when inspiration doesn't come.  My wish is to see what you do with the layout.  How will you use it?  Will you turn it around?  What will you create with it?  Will it be a card, a scrapbook page, an atc or something else that I can't imagine yet?  I know that all of you have loads of imagination and will be able to surprise me!

I pondered a bit on the way I was going to do this and how long to keep this open.  I came up with the idea of doing it for a month.  However if I see that many of you are interested, I was thinking of doing more and also leaving them a month.  This would mean that there could be many open at the same time but leaving you still with enough time to participate!

I have created a linky tool account so that I will be able to have you link up what you have done.  This way I get to go and see your work and I'm hoping that others will as well visit you!  It always warms my heart when I see the different subscribers respond to one another.  I know that you all are super supportive and it's amazing to see.

Now it wouldn't be a challenge if there was no prize.... There will be a random draw of all the participant for a winner every challenge.  I will try to announce it within about a week after the closure of the challenge.

Unfortunately I can't afford to give out big prizes especially since I want this to be open world wise!  But I can do something that is personal.  So if you are the winner and you are willing to e-mail me your snail mail address, I will send you a personal card and possibly some other little goodies (ie stickers, project life card, piece of artwork that I have done, etc) that can be put in a regular envelope.  I hope this will make the win fun.  I know that I love getting happy mail even if it's note!

So without further ado here is the 1st Layout of the series!  I kept it fairly simple :)

And here is what I made with the layout.  Hope it can inspire you!
You can see my process for creating those here on my youtube channel.  Just click on this link: Layout process video

  6. Vicky, first let me say Happy New Year to you and yours. Second, it's so good to see you posting again! I'm excited to see the sketch/layout designs and I love the idea of a new challenge. I work with Challenges for Days and would love to get your challenge listed so that it gets advertised but I need to get additional information from you before we can get that set up. Finally, I'm the sponsorship coordinator for an artist who has only recently begun sponsoring (although she's had both digital and rubber stamps for several years but with a company which closed, giving her back the rights and title to all her images and she's now completely digital) and I'd love to talk with you regarding sponsoring your challenge. I'm going to email you, my friend, so look for it to pop into your mailbox. I'm so glad you're back! :-D Hugs
