SLS Lines - Love birds floral set

Image
Hello everyone!  This is my very last post as a DT for SLS lines !  It's been a really fun adventure but now it's time for me to move on.  I will totally miss this great group and would highly suggest that you apply to the DT call because you will LOVE it!!!!!! For my last post I wanted to make something that I could send out to a friend.  That is one of the new resolution that I have to send out more mail to friends.  So I'm trying to make smaller items that will be appreciated :)  I used the fabulous  Love birds floral set  because all the fab elements are precolored so it makes it very easy to use.  I actually prepared the entire tag on my computer and then printed it out!!!  Easy peasy. I actually used 2 different hearts from the set and put them in different size.  I also used the little birds and put them on the little branch that is also in the set.  Once it was printed I distressed the edge of the tag and put a little bit of twine.  The sentiment is from  Cr

Scribbles Challenge- Show some heart

Image
Hello!  It's time for a new challenge over at  Scribbles Designs Challenge .  This time the challenge is about showing some heart!!!!  So I thought this was the PERFECT opportunity to make some little valentine card for my little niece and nephew!!! For the 1st make I'm sharing my little nephew's card.  He totally loves cars and trucks so this was a no brainer I just had to creat with the great  Hearts Truck .  I did it on a smaller card than what I usually use because I wanted to avoid extra cost.  I tend to send big cards and it's costing me a lot in postage... so I will try this year to make them smaller and send some more often instead!!! The paper was some left over that I had from last year.  I added some washi tape and the image was colored with my copics.  The sentiment is from  Create with TLC . I'm entering this in the following challenges: Drs designs blog  - Heart to hearts Fab n funky challenges  - For a child Great impressions stam

Oddball - January FB challenge midway post

Image
Wow already the time to share with you my midway post of January for Oddball !  It seems like time is flying by so very fast. For this post I decided to finally get around to doing the 1st prompt of the year that Journal 52 gave which was Word for 2016! My word for the year is Acceptance.  And by that I mean accepting myself as I am and stop feeling guilty or that I'm not good enough!  I need to convince myself this year that I am worthy and that I am enough!!! This doesn't mean that I won't work hard on a bunch of my issues (for example patience which is lacking... lol) but it means that I really need to also accept myself like I would any of my friends.  I tend to want too much of myself and that is not good and it ends up in a bad spiral. I used the great image 171  to make this because I wanted this little girl to look chocked that this was my word :)

Willow - Art by Mi Ran

I have some friends' birthdays coming up and what better image to use for them than an A rt by Mi Ran ?!? For this make I decided to play with the adorable  Willow . Journal out of the box

Image
Hello!  I had some time to play today (Sunday when I was writing this) and I had purchased some fabulous digis from Sassy Cheryl while she was having the 50% off sale.  I got one that's called Engineer some fun Noah.  Well that totally made me think of my hubby that's an engineer!!!!  So I had to get it! And last friday as a little treat to myself I stopped at a local thrift store and purchased a few items!  I really wanted to make a journal out of a box.  By that I mean that I wanted to have some means to journal but not in a book and more into something that I could put in a box afterwards :)  I found what I was looking for and if you watch my video you will hear more about it! And here's what my 1st make looks like!!!  I used a stencil from Andy Skinner that I purchased this week at my local craft store.  I also used a bunch of different paints from the dollar store, some newspaper that was treated with gesso and sprays as well as some tissue paper.  I finished thi

You and me challenge

Image
Well today I was busy playing with the goodies that I got from my swap partner for the You and Me challenge.  You can find the video about this here.  And the group on FB is here . There's a list of goodies that you are supposed to send your partner and with that they are supposed to create 2 index card.  One for them and one for you.  I have received an awesome envelope this week from my partner (I'm very sad to say that my partner as yet to receive hers.... don't know why it's taking Canada post so very long....). And I really wanted to make this in my usual crafting space which is my Laundry room/craft area instead of the garage where I usually film my stuff.  I have an Ipod touch and I mentionned to my hubby how I would love to be able to film with it.  And how could I possibly install it so that I could... at which point he just mentionned how I should use a "selfie stick".  Now I usually know about new "gismo" but I must have missed this on

Frozen Fountain - Delicious Doodles - Leftovers challenge

Image
Hello everyone!  I'm here to share with you my very 1st make of the year for the Delicious Doodles Challenge. I made another little Christmas card.  YUP I'm on fire trying to get ahead of the game because as far as it went in 2015 I had barely enough for my family and friends.  I ran out for other people that I would have liked to send cards too! And right now the mailing is pretty expensive so I wanted to keep this card fairly flat.  I used a great image called    Frozen Fountain .  The sentiment is from  Create with TLC . I colored this image lightly with my copics.  I added some prima bling left over from another project and the last on the page of stickers. The sentiment was from  Create with TLC  and it was cut with my large circle and my scallop circle for the background.  The same as the background for the digi and leftover papers from another project. I'm entering this little card in the following challenges: 12 months of christmas  - Anything goe

Image
Hi everyone!  I hope that you are having a fabulous NEW YEAR's EVE.  I spent today having fun and just playing and using some recycling. I have been watching lots of videos on Youtube and wanting to play with new techniques and finally got around to it during the holidays.  I have put some paint on newspapers that I got from my friend Monique Van Dijk to wrap the fab canvas that I purchased from her. I also recycled a bunch of toilet paper rolls :)  Yup it's a great use for all those little rolls!!!  And with a family of 6 I can honestly say that we go through LOTS. You can find the video of the flip through on my Youtube channel here.  And you can purchase my little album in my etsy store here I have used a lot of digi images that I had from Sassy Cheryl.  I went with a theme of flowers because the title of the book is Life in full bloom.  The sentiments on top of the pages are from  Create with TLC .  The ones that are on the tags are stamps from Dylusions. Fae Owl Night  is totally magical and is just the perfect image for a CAS card. Ok so I don't know about you.... but I always ALWAYS end up being late.... not matter how far in advance I start for Christmas.  I always end up adding people to my mailing list, adding home made items WHATEVER always end up late.  And this year as I was telling my husband how I should have started earlier (I started the Christmas card in January, and the gifts in April) he said how I would still end up adding things to my list.... hmmmm.... well he is probably RIGHT.
