Homemade spring flower

Image
WOW  today was a good day.  I have won at a re-draw at  Dutch Dare Card Challenge 3 great digis!!!  So exciting!!!!  Can't wait to use them.  I received my beautiful Tilda from Shelby!  Thank you sooo much and she added a great ribbon ;))))  Soooo happy.  Then I tried my hand to something quite more difficult... yesterday I tried a folding card.  It was long and time consuming but I liked the result. So to enter the challenge again... I made a pot, and the flowers as well as the greenery... it's not quite as trailing but does go over the leg of the little girl ;) To make this card I used paper from k&cie,  CC Design Butterfly dies in 2 sizes, Cuttlebug flower maker die, some little pearls embellishments and My favorite Things - In my garden Jolinne Stamp.  Here's the card sideways: I'm pretty sure that it would not withstand the test of Canada Post... it will have to be one of those hand delivered cards ;) This is another 1st because I had never done one o

Multiple folds...

Image
Tonight I attempted multiple folds for the 1st time!!!  And I also wanted to use my new nestabilities and stamp sets Daisy.  Trying to go really quickly I managed to lose one of the dies... I will have to go hunt for it tomorrow night before I attempt to do anything else and end up losing it for good...   Here's my attempt: This is the closed look and the open is this: It took forever to make this... I kept adding to it...  I'm happy for the 1st attempt.  I'm sure that I will get better with this but at the same time whomever gets this card will probably be happy ;)  I find that we are always more critical of ourselves. I'm entering this in the following challenges: Dutchdare-cardchallenge  - multi fold with multi stamp, all the flowers are stamped and so is the sentiment Southern girls challenge  - multi fold Flutter by wednesdays  - Birthday card with butterfly At joans gardens  - tri-shutter card with multiple print, ribbon and something dimens

Hook, Line and sinker

I did have time for one more card!  I've been wanting to play at the deconstructed sketch... never made it in time.  So this is my 1st attempt. I used the Penny Black Hook, line and sinker stamp.  Here's the sketch: I'm entering my latest card in the following challenges: Critter challenge blog  - Critter Incy wincy designs  - Cute Critter Deconstructing jen  - The sketch Penny black at all sorts  - oh sooo cute Paper take weekly  - water water everywhere Party time tuesdays  - Water That's it for me folks.  Another beautiful day crafting!!!  Tomorrow it's back to work I go.  Keep on commenting my posts!  I just looooove reading all of you. Cinderella

Image
I have been thinking on how to enter to the Forever Night challenge... this requires a movie and it's supposed to be creepy!   Well guess what I found a take on this!  Not sure that everyone agrees with me but I'm sure some will.  Let's start with I adore shoes!!!  So to me the idea of losing one is really creepy and bad.  Some of you might already guess where I'm going with this: Yes it's Cinderella!  From Kraftin Kimmie's stamp.  Doesn't  she look scared?!? I used this great sketch: And this color combination: I'm entering in the following challenges: Card patterns  - Sketch The paper players  - color combo Forever nigh challenges  - movie  That's that for now.  I'll try to create one more before the night is over... but will see.  Tomorrow's back to work I go... so definitively not as many posts :( Vicky xo

Father's day card

Image
Yay I now have a card done for Father's day!  This is great I'm getting to do the cards way in advance now and not last minute as previously!!!  This is a great advantage of this blog. I wanted to make a vintage masculine card for a challenge.  And I discovered that I didn't have any images that would fit.  I have some that are perfect for women... but not so much for men!  Thank god for this fantastic website : Free vintage digistamps  I found the great car image and the man with the hat.  I distressed it with vintage photo ranger distress ink and a distress tool for the edge.  I completed the card with some old buttons and a cute ribbon from the dollar store (such great finds there!) I'm entering this one in the following challenges: mim challenge blog  - Vintage men card Reasonable ribbon  - Buttons & Bows Hope I have time tonight to make at least one more!   Vicky xo
