Koala for cheering

Image
Good evening everyone! 2 days ago while I was doing my DT tour for Tammy scrapin corner I came across a blogger who had entered a card for our challenge. This is the blog Michael as crafting creations . She had made a card for a fellow crafter. Here's the story said in much better words than mine: The other day I was catching up with blogger posts and noticed a help request headline from a fellow crafter kindly asking to make a card for a lovely lady who needs cheering up. Her name is Susan and she is a crafter just like you and I. Susan was diagnosed with Aggressive Breast Cancer  this January and she had her Surgery and had Both of her Breasts Removed recently. She is facing a huge battle with this nasty disease now. Just like other fellow crafters have done I decided to make a card for her to cheer her up in her extremely difficult times and you can do the same. Please check out Patricia's Blog she is Susan's cousin and she will give you

1st DT Post

I'm so very excited!  This is my 1st DT post for  Tammy scrapin corner .  This week our amazing sponsor is  Bugaboo stamps      you know how much I really {heart} their images ;)  This was so much fun for me. This is challenge #9 and it's show me those punches and/or Die cuts. I chose for this card to do a card for my mother-in-law.  As my followers know she is dying as we speak from cancer.  This will be her last Mother's day.  So I wanted to create something special for her.  She was such an inspiration for me that I thought I would use my very 1st DT card for her!   I used both punches and dies on my card and will describe afterwards. I really love using digis because you can do all sort of cool things with them.  I needed another ladybug to represent us (we are a family of 6).  So I used the 3rd ladybug and reversed it so it would be facing the other ones.  You can see it at the bottom left corner. I also really stacked my ladybugs.  You can see it bet

This is my last post for the weekend.  It was great fun.  I got to spend time with friends at a crop and I also got to spend time in the blog world with lots of great people. I'm so excited... tomorrow morning will be my 1st post as a DT for  Tammy scrapin corner .  Hope you will come and check out the challenge blog and my inspiration card ;) Here's my latest card: I used Kraftin Kimmie's Rebecca Raspberry for this.  I also used my nestabilities for the square and the wonky rectangle. I was inspired by this picture: I just loved all the little frills as the icing.  It reminded me of Rebecca's skirt. And I used this great sketch: I'm entering this one in the following challenges: The paper players  - inspiration picture - mother's day Card positioning systems  - Sketch Kraftin kimmie stamps  - Mother's day I hope you guys had a great weekend.  It's back to work tomorrow... quarter end... so Powerpoint presentation :(  And since

Well... I started out wanting to create another mother's day card... but in the end it could be for any occasion lol.  It was too pretty without the sentiment.  So I decided to let it be what it wanted. I have use a wonderful freebie from a few weeks back from Bugaboo, for those who are not followers and haven't read previous post, I really really {heart} bugaboo digis ;)))  I used my scallop and standard circles to make the image and used stickles on the wings of the butterfly. I used this wonderful sketch for making my card: I will be entering this card in the following challenges: Catch the bug blog  - Anything goes Robyns fetish challenge blog  - Blue with bows and button (I did the bow with the button ;))) ) Card patterns  - Sketch Dutchdare  - Spring has sprung I'm having such a blast ;)  Hope you are liking what you see. Albert

Goodmorning everyone!  Just want to start off by saying how happy I am that I discovered the blogging world!  I'm meeting via the internet such wonderful people and getting to use images that are fantastic. Talking of fantastic, while looking for some image some time ago, I came across a blog  All glued up  and there was a wonderful Freebie called Albert.  Now I just loved him so much and had been wanting to color him up for awhile.  Yesterday was the perfect opportunity.  And I had just the challenges in mind ;0  how wonderful is that. I didn't use a sketch this time. It's my own creation ;)  I created the sentiment with word art.  I used some of my Creative memories paper and some dew drops from Robin's nest.  I put glossy accent on the lights and the windshield.  Albert is colored using my Distress pens, copics and Prismacolor pencils.  And the shapes are done with my wonky rectangle nestabilities. I'm entering this in the following challenges:  C
