Koala for cheering

Good evening everyone! 2 days ago while I was doing my DT tour for Tammy scrapin corner I came across a blogger who had entered a card for our challenge. This is the blog Michael as crafting creations. She had made a card for a fellow crafter. Here's the story said in much better words than mine:

The other day I was catching up with blogger posts
and noticed a help request headline from a fellow crafter
kindly asking to make a card for
a lovely lady who needs cheering up. Her name is
Susan and she is a crafter just like you and I.
Susan was diagnosed with Aggressive Breast Cancer
this January and she had her Surgery and had
Both of her Breasts Removed recently.
She is facing a huge battle with this nasty disease now.
Just like other fellow crafters have done
I decided to make a card for her to cheer her
up in her extremely difficult times
and you can do the same.
Please check out Patricia's Blog she is Susan's cousin
and she will give you an address where to post
the card you make for Susan.
Susan loves anything cute so this is a big
hint just in case you are stuck for ideas.

The people that are following me know that my MIL is dying of cancer. What is not known is that my 2 parents are battling it as well. My mom had breast cancer 2 years ago. She still has medication to take. In the case of my dad, he had an operation and all was well... until this spring... now he has to start another treatment.

My father-in-law also had a cancer 2 years ago and is still being watched. And to finish it off my sister-in-law's dad passed 2 years ago from pancreatic cancer. So let's just say that this disease has done quite a lot of harm to my loved ones. So when I read this plead I could not stay cold to it and needed to do something as well to show her that we care and to keep on going! To keep on fighting it.

While I was thinking of what to create I came across a challenge with the most amazing digi exactly what I needed for this card! Here's my card for her:

I hope that it will cheer her up! And I hope for those of you reading this post that you will join in to help this fellow crafter and cheer her up!!!

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Ginger loft challenge - freebie challenge (the great image and sentiment)
Catch the bug blog - Anything goes
Great impressions stamps - Anything goes

Have a great night everyone and thank you for all the great words and prayers. They mean so much more than you know!

  3. Thanks for sharing Vicky! Earlier this year a good friend of mine was told there is nothing the docs can do for her any more...2 remissions and a double mastectomy...so devastating. I'd be happy to join in and send Susan some card cheer! (just send her cousin an email.) Hugs!
