Image
This time at  Tammy scrapin corner  we are doing a challenge on Celebrations/4th of July.  And we are being sponsored by the fantastic It's always such a pleasure to create with them!!! Since our Canada day is over today, I thought I would take the celebration side of it so I created a little summery birthday card, always need some of those. To make this card I used a wonderful paper from Desert Blooms 6x6 pad from First Edition.  I combined it with the stamp (my 1st time using it lol...I have so much that I don't  use.... I really have to start using it more...).  I used a spellbinder die to cut around the image and used my copics to put the stiching marks.  I combined it with some Robin Nest dew drops.  I used some great ribbon that I got at the dollar store (got to love those finds!). I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Corrosive challenges  - Summertime Girls The hybrid chick  - faux stiching Ribbon girls  - girly card with ribbon (I

Sweet Treats

Ok so the last post that I did about cake... I really wanted to enter the challenge at Digi Haven... but then I realized that the awesome digi that I got was no longer a freebie... only the sentiment.  So I went and made another card lol just any excuse to make  a card! The beautiful digi can be found here:  Beary wishes  it's called Sweet treats mouse.  I used my big scalloped squares to cut out the digi and the paper underneath.  I used six by six from my mind's eye  paper (all the dp) and some basil cardstock (pink and the black).  I used my EK border punch to cut out the little border.  Here's a closer look at the image: I colored her with my copics and added star dust stickles to the frosting on the cake.  Here's the cute sentiment that went with it: I followed this great sketch: I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Sweet stop sketches  - sketch The paper shelter  - dies/punches (I used both in this card) Digihaven  -

Cake for Canada Day

Image
Happy Canada Day to all my Canadian friends and followers!  Today I was busy enjoying the pool and preparing our camping trip.  So we pack the camping trailer.  It's starting to smell like vacation time!!!!  It's good that I can rest tomorrow as well.  I hope that I get a bit more crafting...  Last night I made 4 cards... but can't show them yet ;) So this is the card that I made this afternoon. I used a doily under my image from some package that I've had forever.  I used my scallop circle and the regular circle for the sweet image.  She comes from  When the scrap hits the fun , the sentiment is still a freebie but for the image you had to have registered for her e-mail.  I colored her with my copics.  The paper is from Lime Twist - my mind's eye.  I used some ribbon that I had already.  And the little right hand corner at the bottom it's a little metal corner piece that I had purchased at a dollar store. I followed this sketch: I'm entering

Eat more cake

All week I've wanted to play along at Catch the bug.  I don't  usually miss a week... so tonight I really had to get going lol. I had already printed some images so that made it easier to make a quick card before going to eat sushi with my hubby!  And celebrate the fact that it's a long weekend in Canada in celebration of Canada Day on July 1st!!!  YAY!!!  More crafting and preparation for the upcoming vacation planned for the weekend.  This includes finishing off the DT work that I need to do for the weeks I'm gone. The red paper comes from Lime twist my minds eye, the other paper is from my scap pile ;)  So nice to be able to reuse some of the wonderful paper.  I have added some balloons from Jolee's Boutique and the buttons come from a pack purchased at Walmart.  I colored Stella with my copics and added some glaze on the balloon and her glasses.  Here's a better look at them: I followed the sketch from Stella says sketch: I'm entering th

Little summer boy

Tonight I really wanted to play at the Kraftin Kimmie challenge! I missed I think the last 2... and I had not missed them in quite a long time... never won... but one day I will lol but most of all I play because they allow me to use my wonderful stamps! I realized today while typing out my post that I had not stamped in awhile... The stamp that I wanted to use was just perfect for this! I had purchased while it was on sale (because of the move) the really cute little summer boy! The perfect little summer stamp. I purchased him because it really reminded me of my boys and I thought I could include him in one of my scrapbook pages... well... it takes me awhile to scrapbook... so couldn't do that for tonight... but I had discovered today a great sketch as well. So I had everything to make this card ;))) I used the paper from my Basic grey Lauderdale 6x6 paper pad ( I realized this weekend that I was neglecting this perfect paper for cards!!!)  I also used some left over paper
