This week at  One stitch at a time challenge  our challenge is "Back to school'.  And our wonderful sponsor is: When I saw the wonderful digi from Kaz called Young Love this really reminded me of my hubby and I... well we were older but we met in university.  So to me this was perfect because when school started again we did get to spend more time together :D  And now it's been 21 years!  16 years of marriage so this card was our anniversary card from me!  Fitting no?!? To make this card I used some paper from Desert Blooms First Edition.  I cut out the digi and the paper underneath with Label 1 die and the sentiment with gromet tag both by spellbinders.  The wonderful sentiment comes from TLC, wow what did I do before I discovered her!!!!  I used one of my EK border punch for the border on the bottom.  Added some Robin's Nest dew drops as well. I colored the image using my copics and added  pebbles classic chalk for the sky thought it gave some dept

Image
This week at  Crafting when we can challenges , our challenge is Rainbows (make it as colorful as you can).  And your wonderful sponsor is  For this challenge I was really wondering which image to work with... While I was debating this I realized that I had already colored something that would be perfect while I was on vacation.  See awhile back I had won some digis from Scrapbook Stamp Society and I had chosen as one of them Shade of green 1st. Isn't it a pretty image?  You will be getting a closer look soon lol.  The paper that I used for this card comes from K & cie and it's called Wild raspberry.  I used the tags fancy from Sizzix to cut out the image and the paper underneath it.  I also used my circle and scallop circle dies for the sentiment.  I added some flourishes made using Marianne creatables LR0150 and LR0151 (did I tell you guys how addicted I am to dies now?!?  It's all Kim Bell's fault lol :D) The flower is a mix from Doodlebug design flow

This post is to show you what I did during my camping vacation :D If you look at the Altered art  post you will see that waaaaay back in the month of June I had prepared a book to record the memories of our vacation.... Well sometimes stuff doesn't work out the way you plan.... I  took out my book and all the family wrote in it and it was wonderful. I already had vision of using it to do my scrapbooking.  Well.... we left it out that 1st night... and of course... it rained!!!!  YIKES  it was all soggy... so no way of using it anymore. When I went to Michael's I came across the smash books.  I realized that this would work!  So I started to cut out the 1st page and included it in my new book: And while I was at the campsite, I colored some digis that I had preprinted and some stamps as well.  I figured this would be a great place to display them to embellish some of our memories. For this page I used a wonderful image from Scribbles by Sandy .  It's called
