Crafting When we can - Challenge 29

Image
This forthnight at Crafting when we can challenges  our sponsor is Some Odd girl. And our theme is Wedding Celebration.  I really don't make a lot of wedding cards... there doesn't seem to be as many weddings anymore in my entourage.  But I guess it's always useful to have them in your stash!  It was also very fun to make! For this card I chose to play with an image from Robert Jackson that I think is so very elegant.  It's called the bride and groom II  you can find it here . To make this card I used DCWV - Shimmer pack for the green card stock.  I used the wonderful Splendid circle and botanical swirl die all from Spellbinder. I colored the digi with my copics. I paired it out with a sentiment that I thought was just perfect for this from Create with TLC . I really hope that you will be joining us this week at Crafting when we can challenges . I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Simon says stamps challenge  - Dies and/

Gingerloft - Halloween or Fall

Image
This week at Gingerloft challenge  it's about Halloween or Fall.  Great time for this since here in Montreal, all the leaves are changing colors and have started to fall. For my card I used a wonderful image callde Pumpkin Scene. The paper that I used come from Bobunny - Apple cider (looove that pack).  I used my label 11 and my pumpkin dies from Spellbinder.  I added a ribbon that I purchased at Michaels and a little charm from my stash.  The leaves also come from Michael they are the recollections pack. I colored the digi with my copics and added some stickles to the eyes for the glow of the candle light.  I used ripe persimmon distress inks around the digi and sentiment. Here's a closer look at the ribbon and charm. And here's a look at the sentiment from Create with TLC  .  It was part of the wonderful fall club! I really hope that you will be joining us this week at Gingerloft challenge .  Don't forget to check out the inspiration from the oth

Dutch Dare - Challenge 186

Image
This week at Dutchdare-card challenges  we have a photo inspiration for you (you can see it at the bottom of my post). To me this inspired me on a Halloween type of take.  I used a fabulous image from VannaBea Creations .  Love that digi, it's called Lily Anthro and when I saw it I just had to have it.  It's the perfect type of disguise, one that would liberate the "wild thing" inside of us!  Now get your mind out of the guther... my hubby already made a face... lol To make this card I used paper from DCWV -  Midnight spell.  I used my label 10,21 and long classic rectangle, all from Spellbinder.  The ribbon is from my stash.  I added some Robin's Nest Dew drops. Here's a closer look at the beautiful digi that I colored using my copics. Here's the sentiment that I found at Create with TLC .  I thougth it was just perfect for this card.  And Halloween is the perfect time to be a bit "wild" don't you think? Our photo inspi

Papelitos challenge # 15 - Anything goes

Image
It's time for another wonderful challenge at  Papelitos Stamps .  This time it's anything goes and I created something for this that is completely different from my previous post for this challenge. I guess with all the posts these days about breast cancer, I thought I would go with something that is kind of related.... to women all over the world our breasts are pretty much equivalent to feeling "sexy"... so I thought this was just the perfect card to reflect this.  And the sentiment was just perfect!  For this I used the wonderful digi "Boo". I used papers from Basic Grey - Konnichiwa.  I used my grand decorative ovals one and Label 22 from spellbinders.  The flower was made from Recollection flowers bought at Michael's. The image was colored with my copics and I added victorian velvet distress ink to the edge.  I did the same for the sentiment.   The sentiment that is just perfect for this image comes from  create with TLC . I rea

Hello Everyone!  This time at Jackson's Digital Expression the challenge is a sketch!  And our theme is Halloween!  Great time to pull out the ghouls and ghosts :D For this card I decided to make a scene and keep it fairly simple.  I think it really brings the attention to the fabulous digi!  So I used to make this my Cheery Lynn design fence die  Victorian Picket fence.  The moon was done with my standard classic circle from Spellbinder. I colored this image with my copics: The wonderful sentiment comes from  Create with TLC . Tuesday Throwdown - Challenge #119

Image
Hello everyone.  This week at  Tuesday throwdown  we have a recipe for you.  It's a fairly easy one for all of you guys.  Our wonderful sponsor this week is: So the recipe is 1 image, 2 die/punch cuts and 3 buttons... how easy is that?!? For my card I used Chef Burly Becky, I thought it was fitting since it's a recipe :D I used some left over papers, so sorry I don't have the details on what it is... The dies that I used are Scallop Circle, classic circle and fleur de lis rectangle... yes I know I could have used only 2 but for those that follow me regularly you know that I'm totally addicted to dies :D.  I added 3 vintage buttons from my stash.  I put some ribbon from the dollar store and a charm from my stash as well.  I thought it was fitting that it's an hourglass since this is a chef... and recipes usually have specific times. I didn't  do much to the image I colored the face and utensils with my copics and gave a bit of highlights to make

Digi Makeover challenge #57

Image
This week at  Digi Makeover challenge  we are doing something about Breast Cancer.  So it's think pink!  This is a cause close to my heart.  My mom had breast cancer 2 years ago and I have an employee who has a daughter going through this!!!  So yes I really think we need to do more. For my card I used the wonderful digi Hope Fairy.  It would be wonderful for any cancer card actually since you can color the cancer ribbon in the color that you desire. For this card, I used all kinds of left over papers that I had.  So I don't have a list for you this time.  I used my classic rectangle large and my lattice rectangle. The digi was colored with copics.  I added some stickles to the wings and worn lipstick distress ink to the edge of this as well as to the edge of the sentiment. Here's a closer look at the ribbon.  I used some Omer De Serres ribbon and a button that fell from my daughters jeans but that was too pretty to toss :D Here's the sentiment from
