Midway post vintage challenge - Open minded

Image
It's time for the midway point of the Vintage challenge over at  Open Minded Crafting Fun . Our fabulous sponsors this time around are: . . . For my make I used an image from Art of Ronne P. Barton  Violet Fairy  and I decided to journal with her. I used all papers in my pile of scraps.  I used 2 flowers that I made using my Tim Holtz frayed flower die and I used some bead that I melted for the center.  I added some lace that I add in my stash for the bow and under the image.  The frame was done using my label 40 decorative accent from Spellbinder.  The verse is a page of an old book that I cut.  I thought it was just an awesome verse for me. I'm entering this journaling in the following challenges: Abc-challenge  - L is for Lace Vintage udfordring  - Flowers - Vintage challenge Simply create too  - Old vintage shabby chic Word art wednesday  - Anything goes That's it for me for today.  Hope you have a great day. American Beach Babe - Karleigh Sue Sexy Challenge

Image
It's my turn to give you some inspiration for Karleigh Sue Sexy challenge our awesome Beach time Hotties challenge that you can find  here .   I used the great image  American Beach Babe . I loved making a bookmark for the 1st make of the challenge and did the same for this one!  And yes it allows me to use my new Fuse tool from We R Memory keepers.  But I really love that I was able to make this totally perfect for the 4th of July with some sequins and some twine. The digi was colored with my copics.  And the bookmark was sent to an American friend :) I'm entering this little bookmark in the following challenges: 4 crafty chicks  - Patriotic C.R.A.F.T.  - Inspired by a book - there's nothing better than using a little homemade bookmark in a book by the water for any teen lit novel (easy read) Crafty creations challenges  - Red, white and blue Simon says stamp blog  - Anything goes Clear it out challenge  - your style and favorite stash.  I really love b

Winter Bear - Doodle Pantry

OMG I'm having such a hard time making sure to post on my blog.... it shouldn't be hard but yeah just finding something to write is harder than it seems.... Anyway maybe that's to tell me to keep it short lol  I'm here today to share with you a make for Doodle Pantry . Even when I'm feeling blah the colored images help me create something!  And I figured you always need to prepare for Christmas ahead because that is one type of card that I use a lot! For this make I used the super sweet set Winter Bear . and I used a great sentiment from the set Salutations Françaises Here's my card with the fabulous precolored image.

Afternoon Aileen - Art by Mi Ran

Image
Well the new showcase challenge over at Art By Mi Ran  is anything but a square card!  And if you have followed me you know that I'm working on a coffee altered children book.  This was a great occasion to do something on this. The image that I used is  Afternoon Aileen .  She was just perfect for my little book! I used a new paint call Verday Paint on this to make it look like metal  on some left over scrounge up papers from a box.  I used some prima chalk all around the page to give a bit of a distressed look.  I used my spellbinder large circle to cut out the sentiment.  The sentiments come from  Create with TLC I colored this sweet little image with my copics.  And I think she was just perfect for this.  What do you think?!? I'm going to be entering this little book in some challenges later on. Hope you have a great Wednesday. Hugs
