Hello!  It's Saturday YAY.  Going to get some blood test done... that's what happens as you get older lol need to get checked and everything. Anyway today there's a new challenge starting over at the East Wind blog and it's about bumps :)  more specifically embossing. For my make I used the fabulous Aurora Sugar Moon .  I think this image is just soooo pretty and would be totally perfect for a birthday card.  There are many birthdays coming up in my friends/family. It feels strange to make cards now so funny.  That's all I used to do!  How things change. Hello everyone!  It's already the middle of October!!! WOW time sure flies by.  And of course Halloween is approaching very quickly.  So I figured for this midway point that it would be really appropriate to share with you an Halloween make for my FB Oddball midway point. I thought that this would be the perfect time to make the October calendar page for my grandmother.  And I used one of the latest release that you can find here . This reminded me of me with my 4 kids :)  I used some left over pieces of paper from past Halloween.  The calendar is from the dollar store.  And I added a bunch of little bat stickers as well from the dollar store.  The image was colored with my copics and then I fussy cut them out and used my exacto knife for the middle of the images. OH my it's ALREADY OCTOBER! how crazy is that?!?  Anyway it' s time fore a new challenge over at the FB group for Oddball . As you have seen if you have been looking at my blog I have started a new calendar for my grandma. So I did a new calendar page this time and I made a video for all of you in the process.  It was a very simple one.  The image that I used was  Image 317 Here is the final result if you don't watch the video.  The background was made with some gelli printed paper.  The image was colored with my copics. It's already time for a new challenge over at  The East Wind  and this time it's about Pink for Breast cancer. This is a subject that is close to my heart because my mom suffered from Breast Cancer and well I should be having check ups more often but... well life gets in the way and I end up with lots of excuse why I'm not going. So there's a great freebie this month and it's perfect for this challenge. I decided to use this image in my alphabet scavenger journal.  I haven't  used it much and need to try to do so.  But the Breast was perfect for the B. I used the raspberry distress ink on this and sprayed it with water to make the drips.  The image was colored with my copics and the sentiment well it was just FABULOUS for this. It's FRIDAY and boy oh boy am I ready for this.  So happy it's the weekend.  It means crafting time ahead.  Actually I have a class planed for tomorrow so that is wonderful and I should learn to draw faces.... so hoping to use that in my journaling! Anyway I'm here today to share with you a make that I did with one of the new release images from Karleigh Sue  I love you . I decided to use this image in an altered mail art booklet.  You can see the making of this in my video below. And here is the look at my project. The image was colored with copics and fussy cut.  The sentiments are from another project using the negative of the stencils.  I played with some paints and of course the background was made using my gelli printing. OMG there are some new images over at  Oddball Art   and I just HAD to play with them.  I made a video of one of the makes. OMG guys I just have to say how wonderful this day has been with the opportunity to meet in real life someone that I totally ADMIRE!  And I'm totally spoiled because my local store can get people like her to come along and yes I'm speaking of Dina Wakley. I have been thinking of this for over a month since I registered to her classes.  Took 2 and wow was it ever worth it!!!  Just AMAZING time.  She's  very generous of her time and advice and just a wonderful person.  Just as you see on FB or other media but it's so much more in person. I was almost in tears (had to control myself) to actually get to meet her.  It's the 1st time that I get to be in a class with one of those BIG name people you see.  Never before.  Never felt that I would be even worthy enough to be there... just purchasing the books but that was it from a distance, watching videos but not in person. Hello everyone!  There's a fabulous new release over at Karleigh Sue Digis  and I'm using Message in a bottle for this.  I figured she was just the PERFECT image to use on a b-day card. For this I used paper from Darling Dear by Studio Calico.  And a sticker made out of wood veneer.  I used my Ki dots for the bling as well. And I added a bow. Hello everyone.  I hope that you are having a good day!  It's time for a new challenge over at  The east Wind .  And this time it's about movement!!!! I was thinking for the longest of time what I wanted to do... I knew that I wanted to make something with this image  Aurora swim with betty .  And already there's movement but I wasn't sure that it would be enough.  So I added a wobble. You can see the video here and I also put some more info because there's a glitter pen that I think I got at a dollar store that is just soooooo awesome!!!! Here is the page.  The background had already been made in a previous video.  I just added a lot of glitter and my images that were colored with my copics. Roxie Mother of Sin  was great fun to use in a journal page.   When I saw this wonderful image I just KNEW that I wanted to play with her!!!  She's just so awesome and so me lol I made a video for you guys of the short process for this.  I say short because I had already made part of the background for this prior to this.  You can see my process  here . Hello!  I'm here this time for September's inspiration over at Karleigh Sue!!!! WOW the year sure goes by fast.  The kids are already into school and it's back to the routine.  But I'm not ready to let my summer go.... and this means coloring by the pool. That's in fact what I did here for the background as well as for the wonderful digi  Nelsa . I really love using my coloring books as backgrounds and this way it will become a full journal when I'm finished with it.  I wanted this little fairy to be perched somewhere.  And the branches were just perfect. The image was colored with my copics and I used a gel pen to make her wings all shiny. Hey!  Our long weekend is already over... booohooo but we had some WONDERFUL weather so can't complaint. Today I'm here to share with you a new release image from The East Wind  She's called Lucy Loo Dreaded and she was the perfect image to use in the mission inspiration for the month of September that takes place here . I made a video to share with you my process because, well it really wasn't all that planned... didn't know how this would turn out until it was finished! The journal that I used for this is a magazine that I'm transforming!  I really love it because it gives me some print in the back and it repurpose something. Hey I'm back!!!! The images were colored with my copics and I used some stickles on the wings.  The sentiment is from Tim Holtz and it's a stamp that I used.  The backing is the back of an envelope that I got from Erin Young!  I did a swap with her and that's the back of that envelope.  I thought it was just PERFECT and I totally NEEDED to use it!!!!  Doesn't it make a wonderful background??!  Much better than any paper that I could have used. I'm totally ADDICTED to journaling now. I was just visiting a local art store and realized that I hardly do any cards anymore.... yup.... don't know what will be happening Christmas time... I really need to kick my butt in gear! Anyway I found a fabulous book (a very tall one) at a garage sale this past weekend and this was just PERFECT for the journaling for the new freebie and the new challenge over at  The east wind .  The challenge this time around is Shine on.  So something that shines (ie stars, moon, etc.) In my case I did a sky with a bunch of stars and you can see my video here: This was one of the faster EVER journaling page but very fun.  I used a napkin as my background and then some paint and some stencil :) The sentiment was found online when I googled up stars sentiments. Hey!  It's Tuesday and man oh man it's already the end of August!!!!  Where did the summer go?!?  I have to admit to enjoying it much much more this year but it still went by way too fast. For this new make for Karleigh Sue  I used the great image Tattered Fairy .  I made a process video for all you guys! Hello!  I'm here to share with you my inspiration post for Karleigh Sue for the month of August.  I wanted this month to convince you to try to use all your left over paints and other medium for future use. In my case for this one I had made a brusho background and I used my little index card to wipe up the excess.  It was the perfect start to a background for the image  Sexy and I know it . I made a super short video to share with you the process here: And here's the view of the ICAD ( the term is used for Index card a Day - but most of us use it just to refer to an index card because not many actually do one a day....) Using leftovers like this really does jump start your creative process!!! Calavera Rosa  was just the type of image that my new journal required.   I really adore darker images and I don't play with them very often.  But let's be honest this one is not that dark at all just a little bit more than the usual ones :)   Journaling is now like breathing for me... I really need to do it otherwise I'm wilting like a flower lol well really I am!!!  And I haven't played with my inks in forever so that's what I did here with my distress inks. Hello it's a new release day over at  Karleigh Sue  and the new one that I'm using is the Take no Shit!  I was thinking on what I could do.... and of course the idea the knife I research it out and found a great sentiment at least I think it's fabulous! There's a fabulous new release image over at The east wind  and I really HAD to play with this one. Just love her.  I had a background that was almost complete from doing another make.  If you want to see how check out this video  Just love when something comes together without any effort! The image was colored with my copics and an american craft silver glitter pen.  I added some wink of stella all over the image to give it a shimmer like you would get from a mirror.  The sentiment was found while doing a search on google.  To finish this off I distressed some music sheet and doodled around the edge and Voilà!
