Father's day card

Image
Yay I now have a card done for Father's day!  This is great I'm getting to do the cards way in advance now and not last minute as previously!!!  This is a great advantage of this blog. I wanted to make a vintage masculine card for a challenge.  And I discovered that I didn't have any images that would fit.  I have some that are perfect for women... but not so much for men!  Thank god for this fantastic website : Free vintage digistamps  I found the great car image and the man with the hat.  I distressed it with vintage photo ranger distress ink and a distress tool for the edge.  I completed the card with some old buttons and a cute ribbon from the dollar store (such great finds there!) I'm entering this one in the following challenges: mim challenge blog  - Vintage men card Reasonable ribbon  - Buttons & Bows Hope I have time tonight to make at least one more!   Vicky xo

My second entry for the day.  Shows that I'm on vacation.  I got inspired this time from different challenges... you will see at the bottom of my post. I put glitter on it... but it doesn't show to well... I didn't know what to make as a silhouette.  Then I thought flowers would be a great thing!  So here it is.  Don't remember who is the maker of the stamps. I used this great sketch: I'm entering this one in the following challenges: Sentimental sundays  - Silhouette Theres magic in the air  - use 2 circles (they are on top of one another), glitter (on the flowers), Lace (the paper doily) Just us girls challenge  - Great sketch Paper and such online  - CAS Hope you enjoyed!  I really like the way it turned out and I always need to have those little cards for all type of occasions!   Vicky xo

One of my sons will be turning 11 next week.  I've been meaning to create a card for him but the inspiration was lacking... until I saw some color combination in one of the challenges.   Looking at my card on the computer... I realize that it doesn't  really show that the background is the dark wool gray of the picture below... Here's the great color combination: The suggested colors are.... Avocado ... Blue Mist ... Grey Wool The sketch that I followed is this one: It was really fun to make this card.  I hope that my son likes it ;)  I used the Martian Spaceship digi image from Bugaboo.  It was a freebie!  Such fun to use. I'm entering it in the following challenges: The play date cafe  - Color combo Sketches by carly  - The beautiful sketch Polka doodle  - Birthday card with a number on it Delightful sketches  - Fantasy Robyns fetish challenge blog  - Anything goes Catch the bug blog  - Anything goes Love to create challenge

I used this sketch: I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Catch the bug blog  - sketch Catch the bug blog  - April anything goes Party time tuesdays  - spotlight on flowers Simon says stamps challenge  - Favorite tool (here it's the nestabilitie) Little miss muffet challenges  - Pastels The pink elephant challenge  - Flowers Robyns fetish challenge blog  - Anything goes with digi Love to create challenge  - B-Day card (another French b-day card... most of my friends are French... so has to be fitting) It was such a fun filled day.

I have this cuuuuute little stamp that I bought last week while Kraftin Kimmie was having a sale.  yes... I love sales... and I'm addicted to stamps... can never seem to have enough!  Not that my hubby thinks that... anyway I figured it would be perfect with the sketch I wanted to do.    It was just begging for some ink lol Isn't she just the cutest?  Soooo much fun to color.  I added a tag to be able to enter her in the Kraftin Kimmie challenge.  I was blessed by inspiration from this sketch: And by this color choice: So I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Kraftin kimmie stamps  - show us your tag, this heart is for all the beautiful stamps you do! So I continued my crafting.  I made a little French B-day card.  I wanted to enter in the card for men, and now their challenge is make a manly card with spring colors... not that easy.  When you think men you think darker colors.  At least I do.  But I'm pretty happy with the result. I used a really cute sketch as the inspiration for this card: Isn't it cute!  I just had to try doing something with it.  I had to reduce the middle circle however because my card was too small to put another bigger circle... and I had already made my bow... so I was stuck...   I'm entering this one in the following challenges: I spy sketches  - the amazing sketch Cards for men  - manly card in spring colors Penny black at all sorts  - Oh so cute (with penny black image) Love to create challenge  - Birthday cc monthly challenge  - four legged friends Whimsy inspires  - use ribbon in card I wonder what my next card will be... these challenges are forcing me to think out

I've been thinking of how to make a card with scraps... And trying to do a last little Easter card, I found it!  I used all scraps for this cutie card.  And didn't even bother re-cutting them.  They were perfect right away and the color combination was just what I wanted!  YAY just love when a card just happen to create itself lol. I used a cute little stamp with 3 rabbits.  Don't remember what is the actual name... I got it on sale last year.  I used some glitter stickles on the egg and the mouths ;) I'm entering this little one in the following challenges: Moxie fab world  - paper scraps!  All of the paper was from scraps ;)  I do have a lot of little pieces just waiting for the right card... Lawnscaping  - Coloring (this time done with my copics) Card crafters circle  - chocolate bunnies The lollipop ladies  - Fruit loops with glitter Raise the bar challenge  - Cutesy Easter Cute card thursday  - I want candy The paper shelter  - Anything goes with
