1st Father's day

Image
This is my last card for the night I think.... we will see... My SIL asked me for a father's day card for my brother.  He's a real fan of Comic strips since he was a kid.  Actually he gave a bunch to his godson who happens to be my oldest child.  So I borrowed from Andrew one of those comics and copied one page unto a cardboard to make the design paper in the back. I used a digi from Bugaboo called Guysuper.  I thought this was really appropriate for a few reason.  One being that I was doing a superhero type card.  The second being that my brother and SIL just had twins!!!!  So yes they are both super heroes to me! I truly hope that she likes what I created for her. I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Catch the bug blog - Anything goes Simon says stamps challenge  - Anything goes Stampin royalty  - masculine card What do you think of my card?  Please leave some comments!  So love reading them.  And would love to see new followers ;)

Happy birthday - Moma's + suga

Image
I had a request from a co-worker to make a card for her mom's b-day.  This card is coming from her daughter Romane.  Yes the same for whom I made a b-day card and a father's day card ;)  This is a family affair!  I had also made a card gardener for her dad as well as a birthday card for her boyfriend.  Let's just say that I'm the closest hallmark to her ;)))  And of course I'm having a blast making these cards. I showed her some of my recent card and there was the one I made with  Robert Jackson  Moma's + suga.  It's such a wonderful image.  And of course my colleague loved it.  She wanted something bright with flowers since her mom loves that.  So I came up with this: As you can see I added lots of design paper and some robin's Dew drops.  I also made a flower with the flower blosom 1 from Nestabilities.  I made it out of pink foam.  I added some leaves from another nestabilities set that I embossed.  I cut the paper and the image with nestabilit

Feeling very grapeful ;)

It's been way too long since my last post.  As mentioned in the previous one, I was on a business trip.... And I have issues with my ears in a plane.  Takes me forever to get over it... so the flight on Thursday and back Friday did a havoc on my system... enough complaints on that! Today was a rainy day in Montreal and that was perfect with me.  I had stuff to do and wanted to do some crafting.  And of course when there's beautiful sunshine it's very hard to go and craft without feeling like you are missing out ;) I created my DT card for Tammy's scraping challenge ;)  you will have to wait to see that one.  And there's still time to join in the challenge. I had time to make one more for the night!  While I was away I was looking at challenges and images.  And I had discovered  Doodle pantry blog  last month. They have a great challenge going and when you enter you get some great digis ;)))  So I really wanted to play.  Now I also saw some amazing digis at  Cl

Multi fold birthday card

Image
Last night I did a card that was very long to do.... the type of card that I don't usually do at all which is multifolds. I had a request to make a card for someone for their 50th birthday.  There was soooo much that I was supposed to put on it that I really couldn't do that with a simple card.  It would have been overwhelming.  So after much thought I figured that doing an accordeon style card would solve my issu. I have lots of stamps from Kraftin Kimmie and the ones that I have used are some that had never been inked...yeah... pretty bad!  I've been using loooots of digis and forgetting about my other beautiful stamps!  Here's the card closed.  I used Mandy on the top to represent staying zen and exercising. Here's the look when opened. From above.  The panels to write the message are back of the 2nd V.  This way when the card is closed the message doesn't show.  My signature to this card is part of the 1st V. This is on the second pane

Happy Father's day - from Romane

Image
I received an order for a father's day card for the daddy from the little girl Romane.  I have done a birthday card a few post earlier this month. Romane and her dad love to go bike together.  She's turning 2 soon so she goes on the same bike.  But I couldn't find any images for this.  And while looking at the fabulous digis at Digi Darla I came across Briannas bike.  Sooooo cuuuuute!  Just had to create something with her.  And I thought it would be perfect for this occasion.  I used some wonderful nestabilities one of them being my fabulous square fleur de lis and some corner embellishments... don't know the name I put the package away and didn't keep the name :(  But they are lovely no?!?  I also used Robin's nest dew drops. I have colored her with copics and used my blender to add little spots to the dress. I followed the following sketch:   I'm entering the following challenges with this little card: Digi darlas  - Let&#

Tammy's scrapin Corner Challenge # 12

Image
Today it's anything goes at  Tammy scrapin corner . Our sponsor is My Heart Pieces digital. We really have amazing sponsors!!!  So you should really join in the fun to win ;) For my card I chose 2 artist that I really adore!  I discovered them about the time I discovered the blog world this spring.  Yes... I was oblivious of this wonderful world.  And now I'm almost at 100 posts already lol I combined Kozo the clown from Spyders corner.  You can purchase some digi from her site:  dragonsmoore . And the sentiment from   Scribbles by sandy .  Both sites have had wonderful freebies as well.  Unfortunately Lyn at Spyders corner recently had a really bad experience... people posting her wonderful freebies on public sites!  So not sure that she will have more for us.  But in the case of both of these artists their digis are not expensive!  So you really should go and check up their work and encourage them. Kozo was so much fun to color up since he's wearing clothes
