Image

You're so wicked - Faery Ink

Image
You're so wicked  was just the perfect image for this journaling. I always have the BIGGEST issue EVER with dieting.... which is why I just don't do it.  Whenever I would like to diet?!?  Just the fact that I'm on a diet will get me to crave DESPERATELY what I'm supposed to stay away from.  So when I saw this image I just thought: "hey she's  perfect to illustrate that!" You're so wicked  is a great little witch but can be used in lots of other settings than Halloween.  This journal was still done in those colors doing a mixed media piece but I'm telling you any day of the year would have applied lol

Layla butterfly Fae - Faery Ink

Image
OMG it's almost the end of September... and now I totally realized that I had forgotten to post this fabulous image from Faery Ink the great  Layla Butterfly Fae .  What on earth happened to me that I missed this?!? I don't know.... I have no excuse other than it's been a rough time lately and I've been trying to get better and yeah lost track of time in the process?!? Who would guess right?!? Anyway here's my make with her.  I have done her ready since the month of August because she was part of my Journaling by 5s series.  I really love how she turned out!

Zombie Angel - Faery Ink

Image
Zombie Angel  is such a great image it was perfect for a calendar! Well if you follow me you know that I'm desperately trying to get ahead of the game... the CHRISTMAS game.... YUP I said Christmas!  I want to make more handmade presents this year... and one of the ones that I decided to make is some Desk Calendars using some old (found in thrift store) flip albums frames.  I have a wood one started and this is the one that this calendar page will go into.  But I will have some other ones that are iron or plastic... therefore I used my DT make for  Faery Ink  to get ahead!!! So much to do so very little time!  Anyway you are not here for my story lol. Here is the fab calendar page that I did using  Zombie Angel !  I figured  she would be totally PERFECT for the month of October and I wasn't mistaken.  Well at least I think that I did fabulous... you need to tell me :) She was colored with copics and then fussy cut.  The sentiment comes from  Create with TLC  and the cal

Autumn Rose Boots n Bows - Faery Ink

Image
Autumn Rose Boots n Bows  is such a great image it was perfect for journaling! By now you know that I really really love doing other stuff than cards :) And there's something that I've been meaning to try and that's making a junk journal!  This is the center folds of my junk journal.  This was done on some cardstock for paint that I gessoed and then did some gelli printing over.  I think it really created a fun background for this great image! Here it is colored with my copics.   The sentiments that I have added where cut out from a book by Jim Henson's Doodle Dreams.  I purchased it for very cheap it was reduced but it had some fun quotes that I knew I would be able to use like this. Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics. l hope that I will have given you the inspiration to try something new with your digis! I'm entering this little journal book in the following challenges: 4 crafty chicks  - Distressing  I th

Fae sign Believe - Faery Ink

Image
Hello everyone!  It's Friday already and this time around it's time for a new release image over at  Faery Ink . This digi is just PERFECT for me!!!!  It went into a little junk journal that I made for a friend.  And soon I will be able to share with you the full video of it.  Right now there's still some DT work that hasn't been shown.... hee hee hee. When I say Junk journal I really do mean it... it was totally made with recycling items that I get in the mail.  I used my gelli plate on them after putting some gesso. And here's the look for this one.  This album is a one signature one that I stitched.  I then used some ducktape to solidify the stitch.... I'm really going to have to learn to do new binding method for those because I always end up putting too much in my journals.... Anyway the card on the left is from a kit that I purchased and I thought it was pretty awesome with this.  The image was colored with my copics.  And I used my stabilo pencil

Hot Mom - Faery Ink

Image
Hello everyone!  Yup it's time for a new release image over at  Faery ink  and this one was assigned to me by Amanda lol.... supposedly I'm a hot MOM.... well that might be the case since I did our luggage for the camping and man..... I was sweating like CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway I doubt that this is what the great digi  Hot Mom  because she really looks like she has it together :) I made a journal page with this because I thought it would be great!

Absinthe Fae - Faery Ink

Image
Absinthe Fae  is such a great image it was perfect for an album cover! I really really love now doing other stuff than cards :)  I've become totally hooked!  And this month I recycled a journal that I had for a very long time to give it to my oldest son's girlfriend.  She really loves anything dark and fantasy So I figured this would be totally perfect. Here it is colored with my copics.  I also used stickles on the wings.  The cover of the book was done with some recycled papers from a purchase at amazon and I used the Verday Paints on it.  It gives a rusty finish due to some metal particles in the paint.  I made this bronze have some verdigris.

Ragdoll Heart - Faery Ink new release

Image
Oh there's a super cute little image being release over at  Faery Ink  you can find the adorable little ragdoll heart in the store here . I decided in my case to get ahead of my Christmas cards.  I know that she's not a Christmas card image per say.... but I thought she would be totally PERFECT for it!

Doodlebug Fae - Faery Ink inspiration

Image
Doodlebug Fae  is such a great image to use on a tag! I really really love now doing other stuff than cards :)  I've become totally hooked!  And this month I had a tag swap.  It happened that one of the tag had to be fantasy.  So I figured this would be the best image EVER to make it on a tag. Here it is colored with my copics.  I also used stickles on the wings and on the wand.  The background of the tag was done with a bunch of mists and I used an ATC that I got in a little grab bag from Minerva.  I used some Red brilliance dew drops.  I used my fancy tag 2 and put some inks all around it. I'm entering this little bookmark/tag in the following challenges: Crafting from the heart challenge blog  - anything goes Not just cards challenges - Anything goes The papernest dolls challenge  - Anything goes Dragonfly journeys  - Something about books. That's it for me for today.  Hope you have a good day... yeah my endings are the same... what can I say it

Image

Heart on a String journal page - Faery Ink inspiration

Image
Heart on String  is such a great image to use in a journal page! And it's my inspiration for Faery Ink today. And it's an image that actually got me out of bed and journaling at past 11PM!!!!  Yup just needed to be out of me and unto a page.  Do journaling do that to you?  I've found so far that I just get this idea that just needs to come out and be put to paper!!!!  It's like it's got a life of it's own.  And this is what happened with this great image! I have to admit that I felt like my heart was making way too much sound.... and beating too fast and I just wanted peace and quiet and silence both in my head and in my body.... but it was better to journal this than do what was going on in my mind at the time...

Faery Ink - Blog hop

Image
Woop woop we are having a blog hop to celebrate Faery Ink being born 12 years ago!  How totaly amazing right?!? For my make for this special blog hop I have used the great image  Mama's Love  I really wanted to make a special mother's day card for my Sister in law.  I chose to do the baby in green because she had some twins 3 years ago.... so didn't want to just portray a boy or a girl... figured green would be good for this. The paper is from Studio Calico the wanderlust collection.  I used my grand oval and grand oval scallop from Spellbinder to make this.  I added the sentiment using some October afternoon letters - Kraft and Black as well as a little sentiment from Create with TLC Here's a closer look at the digi that  colored with my copics. Thanks for celebrating Faery Ink’s 12 th birthday with us! If you’re just joining in, make sure you check out the original blog hop post below: http://faeryink.com/2015/05/happy-birthday-faery-i

Faery Ink FB challenge - Make a scene

Image
There's no more blog challenge (but you can see lots of inspiration on the great Faery Ink blog ) however there's still the FB challenge if you want to come and participate!  And this time around the challenge is about scenery (so use a digi that has a scenery or make your own). For my make I used the great Mama owl love you forever . I had made a day scene in my journal and decided for this one to make a night scene!  I saw in a magazine how to make some northern lights using distress inks and I really really wanted to try it out.  So here is my try.  Obviously not as great as in the magazine but it was fun and I will try it out again.
