Thank you teacher

Image
Today I needed to prepare a thank you card for one of my boys' teacher.  She will be leaving on maternity leave at the end of the week.   To make this card I used my CM oval and the tearing tool.  I also used a page from a book that I distressed with Vintage photo ranger distress inks.  My stamp was Cool Edwin from Magnolia and I colored him with my copics.  I really {heart} that stamp to make my thank you cards for the boys because I just think it really looks like them. I followed this great sketch: I'm entering in the following challenges: Rubys rainbow  - sketch Southern girls challenge  - about the boys Divas by design challenge  - one for the boys Totally papercrafts  - no pesky girls allowed Mad for markers challenges  - masculine colors Inky impressions challenges  - thank you card (mine is said in French but it's thank you ;) ) All sorts challenge  - for a man or boy (mine is made for my boy to give to his teacher... so was for a boy ;) )

Mother's day part 2

So I mentioned last night that I still had a mother's day card to do!  Now it's done.  It was a very specific request from a colleague who just had twins a boy and a girl.  When I mentioned that Mother's day was coming he got that freaked out look in his eyes... so I offered to make his card for him.  But then I asked what he wanted and got something way too specific.  I really wasn't sure that I would be able to come up with anything that would be good for him.  I wondered afterwards why I asked... I always ask and end up with a request that's way too hard. I did all kinds of research and finally found stuff out on this great website:  SXC  I got my images and got working on my card.  What do you think of this? I really hope that he likes it!!!!!  I put little robin's nest dew drops in blue and pink to represent the 2 babies.  I'm entering this card in the following challenges: Scrap-creations  - happy mother's day Crafty sentiments  - moth

Mother's day

I received great news last night!  I'm now a proud member of the  Jacksons digital expressions  DT team ;)))) so very excited.  As you could see in my left sidebar, I had partaken in some challenge already and just thought they were really awesome.  So very happy to be in their team. Now for tonight's post, I had a request to make a mother's day.  I made another card using the great Hat Silhouette from Floppy Latte.  I just loved that image on the 1st card.  This time I used my brand new beaded oval nestabilities to go around it. I used the stormy sky distress ink on the ovals around.  I also put 2 ribbons... it doesn't show very well but there's one underneath the sentiment and one in the button ;)  just love doing that! I think it turned out quite elegant even if it was using my scraps of papers! I'm entering it in the following challenges: Party time tuesdays  - Mum's the word Robyns fetish  - blue, button and bows (3rd and last entry) Sent

Koala for cheering

Good evening everyone! 2 days ago while I was doing my DT tour for Tammy scrapin corner I came across a blogger who had entered a card for our challenge. This is the blog Michael as crafting creations . She had made a card for a fellow crafter. Here's the story said in much better words than mine: The other day I was catching up with blogger posts and noticed a help request headline from a fellow crafter kindly asking to make a card for a lovely lady who needs cheering up. Her name is Susan and she is a crafter just like you and I. Susan was diagnosed with Aggressive Breast Cancer  this January and she had her Surgery and had Both of her Breasts Removed recently. She is facing a huge battle with this nasty disease now. Just like other fellow crafters have done I decided to make a card for her to cheer her up in her extremely difficult times and you can do the same. Please check out Patricia's Blog she is Susan's cousin and she will give you
