OSAAT Challenge # 137

Today at One stitch at a time challenge  is Make 1 for Christmas!  So this is the perfect reason to start making those Christmas cards :D  I know that I'm trying to use all the possible excuses right now to get ahead lol For my card I had the pleasure of using Wish upon a star from Kaz Kraftz.  It comes as a set with or without the star!  But I thought it was wonderful with this gorgeous star. For this card I used paper from My mind's eye - The merry days of Christmas.  I also used some BBP cardstock.  The digi and the paper underneath were cut using my label 12 by spellbinder.  I used a cuttlebug embossing folder for the blue paper.  I added some ribbon from my stash and so is the charm that I used.  I used some Flower soft for the snow.  I added some snowflakes cut with my MS punch and I put a little Robin's nest dew drop to it. Here's a closer look at the digi colored with my copics.  I put some stickles on the star. Here's a wonderful sentiment f

This week at  Crafting when we can  our challenge is to use the colors of a Flag!  And our wonderful sponsor for this week is Sassy Studio!!!!! For my card I decided to do a card with Canada's color since I'm a Canadian.  But because I wanted it for a Christmas card I used the wonderful digi from Sassy Studio called Little Honey's Russia. For this card I used paper from Basic Grey - Nordic Holiday.  I cut out the digi with Label 4 and the paper underneath with my grand label 4.  I used my regular classic circle for the circle with the sentiment and Scallop circle for the paper underneath.  I decided to add a little stack of buttons to the sentiment.  So used a white button and a red on top with a little ribbon through it.  I added a ribbon and a charm to the bottom of the card. For the image I colored it with my copics and added some stickles to the hat and the little area for her hands. The sentiment comes from  Create with TLC  and is part of a wonderful s

Gingerloft - No coloring

This week at Gingerloft challenge , our challenge is about not coloring your image.... YUP no color!  That can be an easy task... but you have to use the proper image for this! For this card I fell in love with Cello 3!  I thought it was just the most wondeful image for this type of challenge.  So yes I didn't use color on my image but I really went bright for the rest!   It thought it was the perfect contrast. For this card I used some paper from Basic Grey - Konnichiwa.  I cut the digi using my rectangle fleur de lis, I used the square fleur de lis for the paper under the sentiment.  I also used rose creation also by Spellbinders.  The flourish under the flowers is from Dee's flourish #2 and I used the large flourish by Lalaland crafts.  The bling brads come from Eyelet outlets.  Here's a closer look at the wonderful digi. I thought this sentiment from Create with TLC  was just perfect with this musician.  Because to be talented you need to practice practice p

Dutch Dare Challenge #188

This week at  Dutch dare  our challenge is to use lace and ribbon!  And our wonderful sponsor is Di's Digi. For my card I decided to try to stay ahead with my Christmas cards... and to use a stamp that...gulp... had not yet been inked... yikes... I've gotten sooo hooked on digis that I have not played with my stamps in quite awhile.  This one is by Penny Black and it's called Mimi dear. For this card I used paper from Basic Grey - Nordic holiday.  I used as well some card stock from BBP.  I used a few dies (Layered poinsettia, Fleur de lis rectangle, scallop circle, classic circle all from Spellbinder.  I also used Dee's wreath builder for the leaves). The ribbon and lace are from my stash.  I don't  do a lot of cards with lace... so this was a challenge for me.  I have it and love the look of it but I don't  use it a lot... what can I say that's why they call it a challenge right?!? Here's the closer image of the stamped mimi.  I used my copi
