Buttons and Bows - RSD - Altered card

Image
I told you this week how fabulous I thought the sheet   Buttons and Bows  is well I used it yet AGAIN  for another post on Sparkle and glitter with rick  to make something else totally different.  So far you have seen a card and a journaling page with this.  This time around I'm sharing a little altered playing card. I colored the image with my copics and used some stamping in the background as well as some magazine cut out.  She was part of my creative journaling By 5 but using little cards.  I also added some bling from Queen and co.  The stamps that I used to do the background are Unity stamps.  I also added some texture paste to really give it an altered background. I'm entering this little altered card in the following challenges: Crafting by designs  - ATC - playing card are also ATC  Crafty gals corner challenges  - Sparkle and glitter Simon says stamp blog  - No designer paper Ikes world challenge blog  - ATCs with anything goes That's it for me

Buttons and bows - RSD

Image
I've been really busy this summer with this awesome new process of journaling by 5s.  It's a timed event so you really don't have time to think you have to just let it go!  And that's pretty awesome creatively speaking.  So today I'm here to share my post for  Sparkle and glitter . I've been playing with the fab sheet  Buttons and Bows .  And I played with 3 for this page. I used some borders on the left and right plus the little manequin shape.  I used some washi tape and lots of paint to make this. Here's a closer look at the page.  They were all colored with my copics.  The sentiments are from  Create with TLC   I used a bunch of punched out circles and some sequins in them.  Thought it was fitting with the image and the fashion.  I did ruin my dolls face however by putting the varnish on top.... the colors ran on her :(  that really sucks... I need to start using my Krylon spray before sealing my pages. And here's the closer to the o

Outhouse fun - RSD

Image
While I was out camping I was choosing the images that I would be showcasing this month over at Sparkle and Glitter :)  And I just HAD to share this one because I thought it was just PERFECT for a camping book. Let's be honest if you have seen my camping pictures you will know that I camp in luxury.  And one of the things that is SUPER important to me is the washroom facilities.  So when I saw  2011 Mendencino Outhouse  I knew this would be the perfect decoration for my page.

Archie - RSD make

Image
Hello!  Now I'm totally missing out my camping trip.... It went way too fast and now it's over.... but I do have a bunch of memories from it. I used some of my digis and one from RSD to use for a post to immortalize this moment in my camping book.  I have been doing a smash book for the past few years where everyone writes down their memories of the day for the 2 weeks we are gone.  It's fun to see the handwriting change and what the kids have remembered from their days :)  Hopefully those will be some great mementos of their family life later on. In this case I used the great  Archie .  I have to admit that he did look like a few fellows that I met at camping.... oops did I write that out.... lol Isn't he fun with the great napkin that I found at a dollar tree??!?   So fun to use other stuff in my journals!  The great sentiment that I added to this page is from  Create with TLC . I'm really really LOVING this week's weather.... it's probably our l

EEK

Image
Hello everyone! I'm on vacation right now all relaxed :)  So I have plenty of time to share stuff with you guys!  I'm doing the post for  Airless chambers I'm sharing a not that dark make this time around.... but I still think dark enough for this blog.  I'm using 2 super digis for this   Signs 1   and the adorable little  EEK    and with those 2 I made a little scene that I thought would be fun.  I'm quite pleased with how it turned out! The background was made using a stamp of mountains that I used a few times and another stamp of a tree with lots of branches in Walnut distress ink.  Then the coloring of the background was completed using some pan pastels. I used prima chalk ink on the clouds. The little EEK was colored with copics and fussy cut.  I did the parachute lines after with a fine pen.  You just have to LOVE his face!!!! And here's the closer look at the sign that I did for the opposite journal page. I'm really loving how

Our favorite things

Image
I'm back for one last post.  This one will have lots of pictures however.  It's a little album that I made using some paper bags for signatures and some cardboard box for the cover.  I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I made all kinds of sections and then had the 6 of us write on a little card what was our favorite things. So here's the cover I used a bunch of different tags and papers from my stash as well as from Simple stories.  Love those little sentiments and things. The letters are from October afternoon.  I used a little brad and ribbon as the closer. Here's the side view of all the signatures tied together.  As mentioned all the signature were done with some paper bags.  I used some metal beads as well.  Here's the backview of the album.  I used some paper that I wrinkled up and some old book pages as well.  Here's the look opened up.  The 1st section was about the favorite season.  I used a great digi from the set  Sn
