Multi fold birthday card

Image
Last night I did a card that was very long to do.... the type of card that I don't usually do at all which is multifolds. I had a request to make a card for someone for their 50th birthday.  There was soooo much that I was supposed to put on it that I really couldn't do that with a simple card.  It would have been overwhelming.  So after much thought I figured that doing an accordeon style card would solve my issu. I have lots of stamps from Kraftin Kimmie and the ones that I have used are some that had never been inked...yeah... pretty bad!  I've been using loooots of digis and forgetting about my other beautiful stamps!  Here's the card closed.  I used Mandy on the top to represent staying zen and exercising. Here's the look when opened. From above.  The panels to write the message are back of the 2nd V.  This way when the card is closed the message doesn't show.  My signature to this card is part of the 1st V. This is on the second pane

Happy Father's day - from Romane

Image
I received an order for a father's day card for the daddy from the little girl Romane.  I have done a birthday card a few post earlier this month. Romane and her dad love to go bike together.  She's turning 2 soon so she goes on the same bike.  But I couldn't find any images for this.  And while looking at the fabulous digis at Digi Darla I came across Briannas bike.  Sooooo cuuuuute!  Just had to create something with her.  And I thought it would be perfect for this occasion.  I used some wonderful nestabilities one of them being my fabulous square fleur de lis and some corner embellishments... don't know the name I put the package away and didn't keep the name :(  But they are lovely no?!?  I also used Robin's nest dew drops. I have colored her with copics and used my blender to add little spots to the dress. I followed the following sketch:   I'm entering the following challenges with this little card: Digi darlas  - Let&#

Tammy's scrapin Corner Challenge # 12

Today it's anything goes at  Tammy scrapin corner . Our sponsor is My Heart Pieces digital. We really have amazing sponsors!!!  So you should really join in the fun to win ;) For my card I chose 2 artist that I really adore!  I discovered them about the time I discovered the blog world this spring.  Yes... I was oblivious of this wonderful world.  And now I'm almost at 100 posts already lol I combined Kozo the clown from Spyders corner.  You can purchase some digi from her site:  dragonsmoore . And the sentiment from   Scribbles by sandy .  Both sites have had wonderful freebies as well.  Unfortunately Lyn at Spyders corner recently had a really bad experience... people posting her wonderful freebies on public sites!  So not sure that she will have more for us.  But in the case of both of these artists their digis are not expensive!  So you really should go and check up their work and encourage them. Kozo was so much fun to color up since he's wearing clothes

Hello Everyone!  It's been awhile since I last posted... It's because I did some cards for my DT work... and not supposed to show them yet ;0  Plus last night I had a gala for the volunteer work my daughter did.  And she won!  She was soooo excited. So today I did 2 cards that were requested from a colleague.  The 1st one is for her sister's b-day.  And she wanted a big card 8"1/2 x 11".... never made a card so big!  So I was really scared of messing it up.  I'm really happy with the result.  I hope she will be as well: The lady in question travels from Montréal to Toronto, Vancouver and Paris and works at Clarins.  What do you think?  Did it turn out good? The second request was for her real estate agent who bought her house.   It doesn't show in the picture but it's much smaller than the previous card lol. So I really hope that my colleague likes them.... I'm sending her the link to this blog soon. For now I'm about to g

Little birthday angels

Image
Hello everyone!!!!  I missed my blog.  Yesterday and today I was in meetings all day and last night I had a school board meeting.... those are very long day!  Especially after being able to craft for 4 days.  So I really missed it. Tonight I created a card that was requested by my SIL.  She wanted a birthday card for her mom.  And asked if it could be Victorian type.  I figured that I should use a beautiful silhouette image by Floppy Latte Design.  You can find it at Stichy bear stamps.  It has two wonderful little angels. For those of you that follow my blog you will know that my SIL just had 2 months ago beautiful twins.  A boy and a girl.  This image reminded me of them.  I figured that this would be perfect for the grandma ;) To create this I used some of my new nestabilities shape.  I also added some Robin's nest dew drops. I followed this great sketch: I would like to enter this card in the following challenges: Stampin for the weekend  - Sketch On

Birthday Girl Megan

Image
We really are blessed for our Victoria day weekend.  It's another BEAUTIFUL day!!!!  And while my hubby is taking care of setting up the pool... I decided to do a card that was requested from a colleague. It's funny because her daughter is named Megan and she's turning 13th just like my own daughter... so when my Megan saw the card she thought it was for her lol but no... it wasn't.  The little teenager that it is for loves fashion and shopping.  I had just the perfect image.  It's Susanna Shopper from Digi Darlas.  She was a digi made to raise money for a good cause.  So I couldn't resist.  This is the 2nd time that I used her in one of my posts.  The mom is quite a funny lady and keeps saying weird things... So it was fitting to put a bilingual birthday wish. To be even more perfect Digi Darlas are doing a sketch this week! So this was a fabulous way of using my image.  And to top of the wonderful, paper pretties had a challenge to use your school colors.

Birthday card

Wow another wonderful day in Montreal.  And my hubby is back from his mom!!!  So happy to have him back.   This morning I gave in to my youngest son William... He had planted some seeds at school for tomatoes and other vegetables... unfortunately nothing much happened with them.  He was quite disappointed.  So I went with him and bought a bunch of plants.  I had promised myself not to do so this year because when we come back from camping, the plants all look sad... after 2 weeks without care.  But he soooo wanted to have some flowers and I must admit to liking them as well so I ended up buying loooots lol Now I have to transplant them all but it's way toooo hot right now outside to do so.  So it was the perfect time to make a little card.  Usually I would have taken some sun but the pools not started yet... and without it, it's not as much fun.  Plus it's way cooler in my scrapbooking room. I made a little birthday card for the sister of one of my colleague. I u

Peanut twins

Image
Last week while I was visiting my SIL and my gorgeous little niece and nephew (who will both be turning 2 months old this week) her neighbor brought her a gift for the babies.  I had previously made a series of cards for them but they were now out.  So she asked if I could make one for the neighbor to give thanks. Today while I was choosing the images at Bugaboo that I had won at Send a smile 4 kids, I came across the perfect image for this card!  Instead of stamping 2 babies, I could just do one cute little digi. The digi from Bugaboo is Peanut twins.  Aren't they just adorable?  I used the rest of the paper from the cards that I had made for them.  I used a baby diaper pin because I just think this screams BABY!  I also added to the right corner some Robin's Nest dew drops in white, you don't see them much in the picture but they add a nice touch.  I sewed the orange and the checked paper... doesn't show much in the picture however... but the recipient will be

What a GORGEOUS day out here in Montreal!!!!  I enjoyed tending my flower bed this morning with my youngest son ;)  It was fun.  Then I started making some of my DT cards.  I actually made 2!   One for Tammy scrapin corner .  BTW there's still time to join in this weeks challenge which is show me your flowers!   And the other card is for Jacksons digital expressions  challenge.   It's always anything goes but the twist this week is altered art.  Go and check it out! So of course I can't show them to you yet ;)  But I've made another card.  This week while browsing the wonderful sites I came across this one  Doodle pantry blog  they had wonderful freebie digi to use for their challenge.  I couldn't pass it up.  Just had to make a card for it.  I think it turned out to be one of my favorite ones so far. Isn't he just soooo sweeeeeet!  The digi is called cdd Happy bird 2 and the sentiment is cdd I'm so happy.  I used some papers that  I had from previ

Please be kind with me tonight ;)  I saw that the stamping boutique had a really fun challenge... but it involved doodling.  Now of course we all do it... but to put it out there on a card and show it to the world that's much different. Of course those of you who know me, know that I just loooove doing something new... even to the risk of making fun of myself.  There was of course a great Stella says sketch that I really wanted to do... so with the layering the doodling doesn't show as much that's a really good thing ;)))  Here's my card: The paper under it all is my doodling ;)  The rest is some scraps.  I used the lattice square nestabilities.  I used my gorgeous freebie from Bugaboo digi called Butbearsit.  Isn't he cuuuuute!   I went totally CRAZY with the stickles...  Here's a closer look: Yes... did the wings with blue and crystal stickles... then did the purple bowtie as well... I followed this sketch: I'm entering in the following ch
