Path of Positivity Challenge - Serendipity

It's  time for a new challenge over at Path of positivity challenge and this time around it's Serendipity.
  • Serendipity means a "fortunate happenstance" or "pleasant surprise". It was coined by Horace Walpole in 1754. In a letter he wrote to a friend Walpole explained an unexpected discovery he had made by reference to a Persian fairy tale, The Three Princes of Serendip. The princes, he told his correspondent, were “always making discoveries, by accidents and sagacity, of things which they were not in quest of”. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serendipity)
The sponsors for this challenge are:
http://www.lunagirl.com/, and

For my 1st make I'm doing a different type of make with Lunagirl's ATC Backgrounds interiors. And true to my resolve for this year I did something different than a card!

So how does home interiors have to do with Serendipity?  Well it has to do with my house.  Back in 1995 my future husband and I were in an apartment... and we started thinking about maybe purchasing a house.  My dad figured it would be good for us to start seeing what was out there and the price ranges.  This was in the fall... so we were only thinking of moving the next July.  We had just rented our apartment that July.

I looked through one of those little free booklets to see the houses available around our area.  I saw one and figured I should call the real estate agent just to have some information. This way I would know more and then we could start talking to the banks about future loans etc.  The house had just been sold.  But that was ok because remember I was just inquiring for the future.  However the real estate agent had a brand new house to sell... it was not even on the market yet!  I told her that I was just thinking about houses but not ready to actually purchase yet.  I don't know how she did this but she convinced me to go and visit the house.

It had just been repossessed by the bank.  As soon as I walked in it was a THIS IS IT!!!!!  Within a week we ended up owners of a house!!!  The real estate agent helped us along the process she was just AMAZING and managed to keep the house from officially going on market so we would be able to purchase it.  She helped us find an inspector, a bank, a notary lol it was surreal.... We had to manage to rent out our apartment and a new colleague of my spouse just started looking for it... every block just fell into place.  When we got the keys to the house the real estate agent brought us a house warming gift.  It was a set of Angel cups... I really do think there was a BIG meaning to this whole process.  We only visited one house in the end  and have been here since then!  So is that Serendipity?!?

Here's my ATC
The ATC was made with my Cameo Silhouette.  I layered different image from that set and added some bling.

Here's a closer look at the ATC.  I used a great sentiment from Create with TLC that I changed colors.  It says Home is where the family is and I really think it's soooo true.  My daughter was just saying how this house it's were all our story is!  And she's right it's HOME.
I'm entering this little ATC in the following challenges:
  1. 613 Avenue Create - Anything goes
  2. Crafty Boots Challenge - Anything but a card
  3. Eureka stamps - Anything but a card
That's it for me for today!  Hope you had a great Monday!

Hugs
