DDC # 72 - Christmas in July

It's time for some Christmas magic lol.  Yup this week over at Digi darlas our challenge for you is Christmas in July!!!

It seems so strange to think about Christmas already... but this being said I will be going Christmas ornament shopping this week.  We have a tradition, every year, when we come to Burlington we go to a store called Christmas Loft and we go Christmas shopping.  This way by the time that Christmas come, we have a little ornament that comes from our vacation to remind us that vacation is coming again in 6 months... lol

For this card I used some papers from Little yellow bicycle.  It's probably one of my favorite paper pack because it's all in untraditional colors!!!  I used my scallop and large circles from Spellbinders.  I really went with a CAS look for this card.

Here's a closer look at the digi callled Long Pine cones and greenery that I colored with my copics.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
  1. Christmas card challenges - Snowflakes (there are some on the DP ;o) )
  2. Robyns fetish challenge - Christmas in July
  3. Clearly i stamp - Christmas in July
  4. Shellys images blog - Christmas in July
  5. Sentimental sundays - Christmas in July
There's one more post for today!!!  Hope you will be back for it!

Hugs

  7. Love the image and paper on your card Vicky. Have you managed to get the ornament shopping in yet? I didn't realize this was a yearly tradition to the same area. How nice.

My mom always picks up ornaments when she can find them whenever they go anywhere special. This way she has a record or all their holidays on her Christmas tree. It is a nice tradition that you have. Just the fact that you have a tradition is wonderful. So many people these days just don't have much in the way of family tradition anymore so it is nice to see it is alive and kicking in you.

    Miss you!
