Victorious Dragon Fae - Faery Ink
This is just so weird... today I have nothing and I really mean NOTHING planned! No doctors or therapist appointment. Just a relaxing day... where I go and take my walk as ordered by the doctor and just take it easy... but I woke up with this major anxiety... like I used to get at work when I had some deadline to meet. How weird right?!? I should check up the list of symptoms... it's probably part of it. Anyway it's annoying lol. I wonder when you get to be retired... do you still feel the Sunday blues like you do when you work? Maybe it's the same...
Enough about my update... just thought you guys might like one lol. It's time to share with you a really special digi that was made for me by Amanda Byron Faery Ink for my designer of the month win in January. I really wanted to do justice to this fabulous digi because it was made for my daughter who adores dragons! And anything magical. And 2 I haven't been feeling all that good to color recently so this was a bit of a challenge for me. But I think I did pretty good all things considered. And Amanda liked my rendition so that's all that matters it totally means that my daughter will like it for her b-day (only in June) but it's hard to find the right digi...
I kept this card relatively CAS because I really wanted the image to take over! So I printed it large there are so many fabulous details that you don't want to miss! The paper is from DCWV - Premium paper pack. I used my Nesting rectangle and my nesting scallop rectangles from Quickuts. I also played with my scallop and large circle from Spellbinder. I added some swirly gems from Glitterazz. And to finish it off I did some stitching all around. I don't know why but I'm all into stitching these days... it's relaxing to hear the machine...
Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics. I added wink of stella to the dragon's wings and some stickles to the fae. The great sentiment is from Create with TLC
isn't she just STUNNING!!! Love those digis!!!
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
- Scrappers-delights-challenge-blog - Anything goes
- Simon says stamp blog - all creatures great and small
- Creative card crew - Glitter
- Perfectly rustics - wings
that's it for me for today... going to try to relax... and get that anxiety to just LEAVE me alone lol
have a great day
Hugs
Fantastic dragon, Vicky! Love your coloring. My eldest granddaughter also loves dragons and I'll have to get this image to do something for her. :-D Yes, even in retirement I get the Sunday blues and face anxieties over any kind of deadline. The difference is, I get to think it through and remember that no deadline is life threatening and I don't have to go to the office on Monday. :-D
ReplyDeleteI do love dragons too! I have a cross stitch of one I made a number of years ago. Loving your card.

ReplyDeleteLovely card Vicky. Though it is now 2 years since I left work I still feel bad on Mondays. Don't know why.

Hi Vicky, I absolutely LOVE this card, but then there isn't a card I don't like of yours.
ReplyDeleteAs for the anxiety thing, I retired last April and last week had this TERRIBLE panic feeling that I was going into work the next day, it was awful, until I got it into my mind after about 10 minutes or so, that actually I AM retired and don't need to feel this again. So in answer to your question, do you get these feelings when retired, I'm afraid I still do.
This is so sweet, never thought I would say that about a dragon but how cute is he, thanks for joining us at Simon Says Wednesdays challenge this time, hugs Pops x
