Hello everyone!  It's Monday but here in Canada it's Thanksgiving.  So people have it off which is very cool!    But that doesn't  mean that there is a break over at  My Whimsical little world , nope there's a great digi coming out and it's totally PERFECT for Halloween. For this I decided to make with the super cute little Franky a little index card :)  I love making them since I joined the fab group over at International crafters. The cute little sentiment is from  Create with TLC , it was cut out using my pumpkin spellbinder die.  the background was with some left over sprays (sprayed something in front of those index cards).  I edged the index card and the sentiment with my spiced marmalade distress ink.  I used some washi tape. I'm entering this little index card in the following challenges: Lacy sunshine challenge blog  - Monster Mash Pink gem challenge  - Stripes or dots did stripes That's it for today!  Hope you have a great Monday!!!

Here are the pages from my book.  The sentiments are mostly from  Create with TLC .  I used the eyes of the digis blown up for the cover.  I made sure to color them the same way throughout the book. Here's the front and the back of the book toget

Dance for your master - Karleigh Sue

Image
I really adore using digis in my journal.  I totally fell in love with this digi when it was released last month at Karleigh Sue digis and just HAD to play with her  Dance for your master  for the inspiration post that I'm hosting today. I had made some backgrounds in a crafting class and that was just the perfect one for this journaling.  I did add some gelatos to the edge just for added fun :)

Autumn Rose Rockabily - Faery Ink

Image
OMG there's the cutest little image ever that's out today over at Faery Ink and it's  Autumn Rose Rockabilly  and wow I have to say that I had looooooots of fun using this digi. I did of course some art journaling.... are you surprised?!? lol

Mixed media wall art - Gnomo

Image
I've been trying to keep myself busy.  I really need to in order to progress and get my energy up!!!  And this past weekend I had taken a brake and gone to visit my dad.  We ended up making some little wood boards that I could use for my mixed media.  Those were cut by me and and sanded with the big power tools of my dad!!!!  ALL by myself!  I was so very proud! Of course I really wanted to try it out.  And I had won a super cute little gnome image from Julia Spiri over at the FB group.  I figured this would be totally awesome to use on one of those little board as mixed media.  I did a video of that process and you can see it here: Here's my little make for you.  If you want to purchase this little wall art you can do so here .

Sea and Hair - Julia Spiri new release

Image
I'm totally EXCITED to be able to share that I'm part of the new release team over at Julia Spiri!!!!  Such fabulous digis .  There's an awesome FB group as well that is how I found out about them.  And of course you can play in the challenge and have the opportunity to win some great digis. My make was done using the brand new Sea and Hair .  I decided to make a  page journal layout with this.  I have to admit that I'm really really scared of the sea.  I love looking at it. But I know that it's so incredibly powerful and yes I'm very scared of the idea of being on a boat.  So that image touched me a lot. I have been tearing some magazine's apart and I found the great text that I could use on this layout.

Karleigh Sue Challenge - Kraft

Image
It's time already for a new challenge over at  Karleigh Sue  and this time around it's about Kraft! For making this make I used the fabulous  Under construction .  I just love this image because I totally adore making stuff and working with tools so I totally can associate myself with this image. I decided to make something in my journal.... what a surprise right?!? :)   But I didn't paint the background I decided to use some papers from Market special paper.  I also used my Couture embossing folder for this.  I added some black dots for the nails.

MWLW - Frankenbride

Image
Hello everyone!  It's Monday!  And this is the second post of the day.  I went away for the weekend and I have to say that it really really helped with my moral :)  I also found a bunch of goodies at garage sales over in the Eastern Townships. And it's time for a new release over at  My Whimsical little world .  You can always find a little freebie.  You also have to check out the great FB group where Paola offers some freebies on occasion and you don't want to miss those!!!!!   You can find the totally awesome  Frankie's bride  at the etsy store.

You're so wicked - Faery Ink

Image
You're so wicked  was just the perfect image for this journaling. I always have the BIGGEST issue EVER with dieting.... which is why I just don't do it.  Whenever I would like to diet?!?  Just the fact that I'm on a diet will get me to crave DESPERATELY what I'm supposed to stay away from.  So when I saw this image I just thought: "hey she's  perfect to illustrate that!" You're so wicked  is a great little witch but can be used in lots of other settings than Halloween.  This journal was still done in those colors doing a mixed media piece but I'm telling you any day of the year would have applied lol

The background was doing with some left over paints on this.  I really love using the left overs on some index cards because it means that I have some backgrounds all ready for projects like this.  The sentiment is from a stamp and I put it on some old text book paper.  The digi was colored with my copics and I added some stickles to his great wings. Fairy - keeping busy

Image
I've been feeling down in the dump.... and I mean really really down in the dump.  I went to empty out my office on Saturday (you can imagine how it was emotionally draining and such).... and got a nail in one of my tires...... :( We were having my oldest son's girlfriend and my daughter's boyfriend over for supper that day... and I had the special visit of my dad.  It was fab that it took my mind off my issues... but that soon caught on to me actually the next day I was feeling blah and today was the pits. All I wanted to do was stay in my pjs in bed... didn't want to do anything.... and I really had to go and get my tire fixed but I didn't want too.... didn't want to do anything and I could feel the depression edging closer.... wanting to come back.... and I was ready to just let it come back with open arms and just go and crawl in a corner to cry. But then I thought how I have fought this soooooo hard and I can't give up.... it would be so very

My whimsical little world - Windswept

Image
WOW there's another fabulous new release image over at  My Whimsical little world .  And this time around it's such a sweet and fabulous image totally love Windswept. She was just perfect in my journal that I made using the Journaling by 5s.  It's one of the pages that I didn't really alter or modify after I finished it because I really love it the way it was. I did work on the left hand side however and that included putting some embossed paper, a hair bandana that was recycled. Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics.  The sentiment is from  Create with TLC I hope you have a great Monday.  I have to go and get a flat repaired on my car..... happened the day that I had to go and empty out my office..... talk about bad karma..... sure hope that now something turns around for me.... I really really really need it.... like my stress to fly away lol Hugs

Don't be square

Image
If you are here for the coffee blog hop it's here . I'm trying to keep busy.... and that means doing something with myself. I have found that today I'm exhausted.... guess the news of this week is sinking in and the emotions that washed over me have left me kind a tired.... Tomorrow is emptying of my office day.... and I'm so glad that my hubby will be with me because I don't think I could just face going there alone.  Might be emotional you know?!? Anyway as I have been sharing with you since January I've been pushing myself to do new things!  And that includes doing LOTS of things that I had never done before.  Including altering books!  I've been reading lots of Mixed Media books and that brings a smile to me.  So a good way to feel somewhat better. And I've also tried to make some gifts that come Christmas I can give out and that will mean something to whoever is getting it.  This one is for my daughter (she doesn't read my blog.... and I s

Getting myself back up....

Image
Hello everyone!  I got some devastating news 2 days ago.  My job was abolished.  So even if I was ready to go back on a progressive basis well I have no job to go back too.  It's taking me so very long to scrap the bottom of myself from the floor.  And to read this news well... it just brought it all back. I had to remember if it was all worth anything.... most of all AM I worth anything.  And I have to say that I'm totally BLESSED to be surrounded by so many loving people.  Everyone pulled close to me and sent me virtual hugs.  After spending 2 days crying none stop I have to find ways of getting myself back. The best way that I know how is to go through what I did to get out of the initial big hole and that is to create.  So that's what I did.  I created something for my daughter.  It was in the pile of need to do and well today it got done.  Then, as I was pocking around FB I came across the cutest little release ever from  Julia Spiri .  She makes such fabulous whim
