Path of Positivity challenge # 6 - Honesty - Midpoint
Hello everyone! Hope you had a really good day, even if it was a Monday. I'm here to share with you some inspiration for this month's challenge over at Path of positivity challenge.
There's not a lot of entry... I'm wondering if people are having difficulty with honesty... strange since it's a pretty easy concept. And all you have to explain is how your post pertains to honesty. And this is sooo fun since you can do whatever you want to illustrate this concept! In my case it's a journal. I really love to be able to experiment in mixed mediums.
In my case I decided for this posting to use the fabulous Bouquet and wine from Creative Bug on the loose and a sentiment from Create with TLC.
You might wonder how the wine and the flowers pertain to honesty... well my hubby refuses to buy me flowers. He figures that this would look like he needs something to be forgiven. And this way he is just honest and never needs forgiveness... well I still would love flowers but hey we have been together for 22 years so that must mean something ;o) It's a good thing however that he does purchase some wine hee hee hee.
I had a lot of fun making this!!! I painted the background with white paint then added some black paint and finally some crackle finish to do the crackling. Now this was my very 1st time trying this out... so I still need some practice but it was fun. I used some letters from Immortal Love by DCWV. I really love that set and it was the 1st time that I was using those letters. I used my lacy square and my large square from Spellbinder.
Here's a closer look at the great sentiment from Create with TLC .

Absolutely splendiferous my friend! That background turned out fabulous and I just love the sparkly goodness of your letters. It is interesting how your husband perceives flowers as being a sign of forgiveness, he must have seen this in his early life and as such never wants to do anything that would perceive him in this light. At least as you said, he still brings home the wine! Thanks so much for participating in the midway challenge this month. Your support as always is greatly appreciated.

Excellent creation Vicky. :-) I can see his point, unless he gave flowers right from the off set, any time he did it now would look like a guilt present !! LoL

If I had to choose between the two I'd definitely pick wine, lol! I love the concept of this challenge - so happy you came to play again with Drunken Stampers :)
ReplyDeleteIf I had to choose, I might just take wine over flowers myself. ;) Beautiful journal pages. Thanks for joining up with the Drunken Stampers this week!
ReplyDeleteWow...how fun is that creation. Everything just invites you to feast your eyes.

Fabulous pages, I also love that DCWV pack. Thanks for playing along with the Drunken Stampers for the Bartender challenge.
ReplyDeleteWine will make everything fine, that's my new motto. If your husband did bring you forgiveness wine, you would be happy and maybe never remember that he needed forgiveness! I think he should get into trouble now! Thanks for playing along at Drunken Stampers! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteFantastic!! Thanks for playing along with the Drunken Stampers this week!!
