Masculine Valentine

I'm back with another little post.  This time to share with you a little card that I made for the great challenge going on in FB for the Inky Froggies it's a group run by my friend Kristina Deyette of Kristy Lees World totally talented artist and she's also a stamping up consultant!!!  So if you are in the US you should really communicate with her for the goodies :)

So the challenge is to make a card for Lovies - whatever love means to you.   Of course you have to use some Stampin up stuff.  I had some new goodies to use :)  And I really wanted to start with them.  So I made a love card... but one masculine!!!  I wanted something different from the typical red and pink :)  I saw a great sketch and that was the start of it.

So is that a masculine valentine?!?  I used my Tim Holtz Alteration Sizzix embossing folder, I then used my walnut distress ink on the raised parts.  I added some washi tape ( not quite the one that I would have liked to use... but I didn't have the right color... :( never seem to have the right one with that stuff...).  I added a little tag that I had distressed in tea some time ago.  I used a heart done with my Cameo, added some buttons and twine from my stash.  I used my brand new stampin up banners framelits die for the banner!!!  Love this I had sooooo much trouble with my banners, best investment EVER in a die.  I stamped my c pour toi stamp from stamping up - the droit au coeur and then used my NEW label bracket punch to punch that sentiment out.  LOOOOVE this.

Here's a closer look at the great stamp.
Much different from my usual cards!!! But I'm loving this look!!!  I like to challenge myself :)

I followed this fab sketch and that was the start of my inspiration:
