Very merry unbirthday!
Yup we celebrate one day a year that you are born! But what about all the other days? Shouldn't they be celebrated as well? So I decided to make an unbirthday card! I used the very cute Gilbert Shmilbert image from Sassy Cheryl. I've been getting a few when they go on special... can't really afford my addiction otherwise lol. And I have made a resolution with myself that I would use my images more! So this was a great opportunity to do so.
I also wanted to play with their challenge Sassy cheryls challenge which is Dies and/or punches.
Isn't he just adorable?!? The paper is from Be you - Fancy pants. I used an embossing folder from Tim Holtz - Checkerboard. I used my scallop and large circle from Spellbinder. I found some orange buttons to go with this. Now I have a confession to make... Not only am I a die addict, a Sassy Cheryl addict... but I'm a huge button addict! I have some in all shape and size and colors... well I thought so... but WOW it took me FOREVER to find these orange buttons... couldn't find orange at ALL!!!! hmmm... you never seem to have the right thing when you need it lol
Here's a closer look at the digi colored with my copics. The sky was done with my salty ocean distress ink. The sentiment is from Create with TLC

Isn't Gilbert the sweetest thing? I am betting you won't have much trouble using him multiple times. Don't you hate that when you can't find enough matching buttons and your button collection is huge. I gave up and bought a button embosslit from Stampin-Up so I could make my own. LOL (Shine them up with some Glossy Accents and you are good to go.)
ReplyDeleteGreat use of color with this creation Vicky. Thanks for joining us at Sassy Cheryl's this week. Hope to see you back again soon.
It's a fab card, Vicky! He's such a cutie and the design and bright colour scheme are lovely! Please please don't mention your 'unbirthday' theory to my granddaughters!!! They would love the idea... cards (and presents!) every day, not just birthdays ....expensive!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell happy unbirthday to you!
