Trying to be normal
Yup hope the title brought some attention... lol it's not easy to try to be normal. And as an finance director... being normal is important... but there's so much more to me lol and through this art this is how I can share my true self!!!!
I hope that you got to play a bit today! I did and that gave me a chance to be my other self :). I did some DT work but I also did this card just for the fun of it! Actually it's quite a good practice for hair lol
I used the fabulous Lucy Loo Bookahoolic for this card it's from The East wind and for the FB group where there's another great challenge and some contest for the drawing of an image from one of your picture... so you don't want to miss this!!!
Here's my card, Paulette made a great sentiment for this image!!! :) I sent her the watermark version and she made a great freebie... it's still available here.

The paper is from Crate Paper - Story Teller. I used some metal charm and added some charm. The mat under the digi is cut using Label 29 from Spellbinder.
Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics. That hair is soooo fun!!! Just needed to be out of the norm lol and fitting with the sentiments.
I followed this sketch:

ReplyDeleteThis is so fun! Love her hair and that sentiment is really fun (and so true). It is fun to be a bit different when making cards - it does let you be however you want to be for a little bit of time. I totally agree with you. Fun card. Hugz!
ReplyDeleteOh Vicky, I just adore this card! The sentiment is just perfect and I'd like to use those words for a project in the future. I completely understand about working full time and having my other crafty side. It's my relaxation and fun time as well. This image is just lovely, you've done a stellar job on that hair! Amazing and xcellent artwork :) Hugs and happy crafting. -Kim

ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE that image, Vicky! Marvelous coloring on the hair, especially since it's blue. I often wake up with a feline in my hair since one of them just loves curling up on my pillow when I'm sleeping but I can't say I've ever had one perched there during the day. Fabulous card!
