A little Christmas and a little more about me

Did I intrigue you with my title of post?  I thought it might catch your interest ;) You will have to do the read more to have the full story!

I'm here to share with you a little card I made this weekend to participate in the challenge over at Meljen's.  This time it's about opposite colors of the spectrum... so really didn't know what to create and when looking at the colors I saw that red and green were in opposite!

That means to me Christmas!!!!  So I looked at the Christmas challenges and found one about casing a card So that was my inspiration.

The digi from Meljen's was a freebie a long time ago ;)  well it's not time for Christmas freebies right now...

To make this card I used some papers from DCWV - Everyday stack.  I used my large rectangles from Spellbinder.  The letters are from Carolees Creations.

Here's a closer look at the digi that I colored with my copics
I CASED this card to make it:

Isn't  it cute?!?  Not at all the same colors but I used the layout and even did letters instead of my usual sentiments... so took me out of my comfort zone (especially since the letters didn't want to fit in the space I had... so many unglueing involved!)

So here's my part about knowing a bit more about me ;)  I always talk about my animals.  So I thought I would start sharing my fun furry friends with you.  The 1st one that I'm showing is our baby, we got him last summer he was a baby then.  His name is Max and he has a little "M" on the forehead so perfect for his name.  He's a pretty busy and fearless cat (doesn't mind the dogs at ALL ;o) )
Isn't  he cuuuute?!?  love that little face even if I'm allergic... yup I know I'm crazy lol

I'm entering my card in the following challenges:

  1. Meljens designs- Opposite attracts
  2. Christmas stampin - It's a CASE
  3. Paula holifield crafts - Something sweet
  4. Christmas card challenges - optional use lace - I didn't obviously...
So do you want me to continue to share my furry friends here?!?  Looking forward to reading your comments!  Only one more follower needed before I put my little giveaway up ;)  Hope it happens before my vacation!!!

Hugs

  9. Ooh! Awesome card. I love that you used the candy cane paper in behind the candy cane. Great job with the cut out letters too. Definitely worth the time and effort.

Max is one handsome little dude. Bit of trivia, did you know that the 'M' shape that you see on most cats is a reflection of the fact that they are just plain old tabby cats and not of any specific breed? Neat eh.

Can't wait to meet the rest of the gang.

    Hugs,
    Lisa
