WOYWW - June 19th

Hello everyone!  Another Wednesday WOYWW!  And this time I'm again in an hotel room on a business trip.  The good news is nothing bad happened so far on this trip!  The bad news is that I missed my daughter's birthday yesterday and I'm missing my son Gregory's graduation from 6th grade today... :(  So like my boss said, I'm either a bad mom... or a very dedicated employee.... hmmmm... get's you thinking of your priorities right?!?    But you still need the food on the table and the rest... so... guess I'll stick around for awhile more... just hope I don't miss too many of those important events!

So here's what's on my work desk!  I have brought my computer with me this time.  I figured I would be able to blog a bit at night... and also because I was scared that we get stolen and that this time they take my computer!

Hope your Wednesday is better than mine that's supposed to be in meetings all day... and hope that you don't miss any important things in your life!

I’m doing a giveaway to celebrate my 350 followers! If you are a follower You can enter at this post and if you’re not now is a great time to become one…

  1. Hi Vicki, I am sorry that you have missed your daughters birthday and sons graduation it plays on our heartstrings. I know how hard it can be but if the children know how much they are loved they will be fine, and we all know we have to eat and have a place to live and to do that...well we have to work, sigh. :-). Take care of yourself and happy WOYWW.

  5. Oh dear, sorry you seem to be missing those important events in your childrens' lives, its always a hard one to call, you have to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table. Hope the meetings aren't too boring and you get some time in the evenings to catch up with normal stuff. Annette #9

  6. It's so difficult juggling the family and a job but as you say, there are bills to pay and food to buy. There will be lots of other special events to share I'm sure. Make sure someone takes lots of piccies and maybe you and the children could scrapbook them and tell you what to write on the journaling. Hugs. Pam#38

  14. Ah Vicky, you'll be so full of ideas and inspiration by the time you get home to your own desk that you'll spend hours being prolific. Yeah, you will! And lookat it this way..to you , they are life events..The children will look back and see the sacrifices their role model had to make and be even more overwhelmed by your dedication to being their Mom. Also, remember, they're a big deal to them AT THE TIME, literally, and then it's over. They're a big deal to you all the time, because guilt is part of the package!

  19. Hi Vickiy, Thanks for the earlier visit to Betsy. It' hard to be a working Mom, and throwing in travel makes it even harder. Julia's right, when grown they will have a deeper understanding of what YOU had to sacrafice, so they could have a better life.
Hope you make it home quickly for those "I missed you" hugs and kisses.

  22. Sorry to hear you missed your daughter's birthday and son's graduation but you are sure not a bad mother for wanting to put food on the table and buying nice things for them. I had to make those decisions too (many years ago!) and mine seem to have survived unscathed! Hope your meetings went well and you get back to your family soon xx
